A tropical breeze blew across the open waters and over a ship, her colours lowered, concealing her identity. Now out in the deep sea, the Junk drifted lazily through the cyan waters. After severely damaging another vessel who dared to attack Captain Swann close to a pirate port, the orders had been given to sail out into open waters to avoid further trouble. Exhausted after the efforts, the crew was grateful to have a small relief from their duties for half a day. They had been lucky enough to save all of their cargo in that battle.
Elizabeth Swann Turner was at the helm, having relieved a crewmember. On an inactive day like this, her thoughts would often lead her to other times and other places. Her husband had been dead for over a year now, and they saw each other by chance on the sea, except for one day when he could come ashore. Mainly because of this did the young Captain sail far and wide, returning to land only to let her crew rest and to see her beloved. She kept her heart with him wherever she went, relying on fate to bring them back together again.

And so fate would do today, the crew had asked Will if they could surface; some of them were missing the full feel of the sun on their backs. The long former blacksmith was only too happy to oblige the request. So it was that the Flying Dutchman sailed across the ocean, wind caught well in her sails and the crew happily shouting as the sun dried the deck.
Will could only smile and close his eyes as the wind blew his hair back. Maybe he had remained beneath the waves too long.
"SHIP OFF THE STARBOARD BOW!"
Will looked up in surprise before turning to search the seas- sure enough a very familiar ship moved steadily across the horizon. A smile crossed his face as the crew also recognized the ship and began to change direction towards her.
"Elizabeth..."

Tucked away in the Captain’s Cabin the rhythms of Will’s heartbeat began to change, increasing in pulses as his ship came closer to the surface; the force of the great sea vessel breaking through the surface of the ocean produced the loud sound of water rushing. Elizabeth’s head swivelled in the direction of the noise, a moment’s concern that some sea monster may be rising out of the deep passing through her, but as soon as she saw the bow of the Dutchman, a pleasant smile sprang to her lips. Captain Swann commanded that an interception course be made in order to approach the Flying Dutchman as quickly as possible. It was not long before the Junk caught up to the other vessel. Elizabeth had been unable to take her eyes off of the man captaining it, even when ordering,
“Bring us alongside her, Mr Niu.”
With the ships parallel to one another and matching in speed, Elizabeth called across to her husband,
“Captain Turner, you’ve been hiding under that water for far too long! Permission to come aboard?”
