By that time, Alice had calmed herself considerably. Her eyes were still damp and red, but she managed to force herself to smile, especially with the amazing comfort of her new friend. She was becoming highly fond of Rose, and decided that if she were to remain in this country for just a while longer, she would have preferred to spend it with Rose.

She placed the handkerchief back into her pocket and nodded to Rose, all while smiling. "Yes, Rose. You are right." She looked to the exit of the alleyway. "Another mirror should suffice, you know."

Rose felt relieved as Alice managed to smile, despite what had happened. She hadn't know the younger girl for long, but she was liking her more by the minute, and her smile grew a little as the teenager realized she was happy to have met Alice.

Her expression grew thoughtful as she moved away from the blonde, scanning the street they were on. She knew the city very well, but she had never looked for a mirror here before now. Rose turned back to Alice.

"Well, I'm sure another mirror isn't hard to find, we'll just have to look." She nodded in the direction of the street, before smiling again to Alice.

"No, I don't suppose so!" she agreed enthusiastically. Her smile widened even further. She then invited herself to leave the alleyway first, and back into the public open. "Come, then!" she happily called back to the American.

When Alice called back for her, Rose stepped out of the alley, joining the other blonde back on the street. She then scanned the street's many buildings, or at least the ones in front of her, searching for another shop that might have a mirror in it. Not satisfied, the tall blonde turned to Alice.

"I think we'll have to just search the street. We'll get you home, don't worry, Alice."

Alice looked to Rose and smiled in tenderness. "Oh, I am not worried, Ms. Rose, because I know you will help me. I needn't be concerned." Her smile increased as she said that. Then she looked around the environment. "I wonder which way we ought to go?" she asked aloud as she examined the possible locations. She pointed toward a direction that would lead to more buildings. "Do you suppose... we should go this way?"

Rose briefly smiled to the English girl as she was re-assured about her not being worried, then her expression became serious as she looked over to where Alice was pointing.

"Yeah, I think that would be best," she started towards that area, but not before making sure the younger girl was following her. New York was a huge place; she didn't want Alice getting lost in it.

Alice followed her new friend closely, and noticed when the older girl turned to make sure she was still following. "Don't worry about me," Alice reassured with a nod. "I am following you!"
