The Puppet Master missed his target. What an annoying girl, the way she inconveniently steps away from an attack! The large man wasn't amused. He clutched his ax tightly and used his free hand to point accusingly at the girl. He was surprised to see her bare her fangs and claws, but he was still too angry to really react beyond confusion.
"What you want here?!" he shouted angrily. "Go! Get out, before I'a cut you into firewood!" His tone made it clear that he intended to kill if the wolfgirl didn't leave in an instant.

The wild girl said nothing in response, and didn't seem the least bit shaken by his threat - all that came out of her mouth was a furious growl. She clearly wasn't one for conversation, particularly when it came to a battle. Almost instantly after the Puppet Master had spoken, she darted towards him with startling speed. If Stromboli were to strike her with his axe at that moment, that would be just what she predicted - so she would have swiftly weaved around his slices. The axe was just what she was aiming for, at the moment, however.
The wolfgirl hopped at least four feet into the air, tucking her legs underneath her. In mid-air, however, she unfurled one of her legs to strike at Stromboli's meaty hand with a good, hard kick. All of this would have happened within the blink of an eye, and the girl's kick would likely have loosened Stromboli's grip on the axe. The man would have had no time to pick his weapon back up, however - the girl wasted no time in leaping right upon him.
Despite her smaller size and lithe stature, the Puppet Master would have, no doubt, been surprised by how strong she was as she tackled into him - strong enough to send him falling to the caravan's floor. Before he could even realize what was going on, he would see the wolfgirl looming over him, her slate gray eyes glaring coldly down at him and her fangs on display. One hand, her large claws unsheathed, was positioned uncomfortably close to the Puppet Master's neck, as if she was considering slicing his throat open at a moment's notice. For now, however, she kept him pinned to the ground.
"You and your lackey have five seconds to leave my forest, before I tear both of you apart," she snarled.

The Puppet Master was kicked in the hand, and he lost his ax as a result. This made him shout in surprise. He wanted to retrieve it, but there was no time; the feral girl jumped on him and straddled him like he was a horse. Who did this foolish girl think she was?! And the poor, undeserving-of-this man was pinned to the floor, which also got him to shout an Italian profanity in surprise.
But even though the Puppet Master was pinned to the floor, he could still talk! He was glad that his pink lips weren't covered, and he seized this opportunity to bark orders at his puppet like a mad dog.
"You! Kill this'a girl! Now!" His eyes flared with contempt, and he struggled under the boyish-haired girl's surprising weight.

Cold Shadow, who had been standing around like a lifeless mannequin, suddenly snapped to life once orders had been issued to him. Without a word he prepared his wooden staff, sprinting forward with blinding speed toward the wolf girl, who was grappling with the man he had come to apprehend, and through twist of fate now dictated his every action.
He swung the staff with great force, aiming for the back of the girl's skull.

Tch. She figured they wouldn't comply so easily... looks like a little blood would have to be shed. The large man stubbornly refused to surrender, and instead shouted out to someone behind her - and the girl knew exactly who he was speaking to. Great... now she'd have to take on two at once.
She immediately whipped her head around, and the first thing she saw was that ninja duck less than a second away from knocking her out cold with his staff. With equally quick reflexes, the wolf girl leaped up and countered the attack by grabbing onto the staff just as it was inches away from her head, both of her hands holding on tight to the rough wood. She was pushed back a few inches by the force of the attack, but held fast, gritting her fangs in both strain and anger.
She glared razor-sharp daggers at the ninja, although she didn't even realize at the time he wouldn't see her eyes at all. Just how the hell could he even fight with a blindfold on, anyway?! It really pissed her off - but not as much as how the duck lied to her in order to lure her into this trap. This was exactly what came from trusting strangers in weird costumes who intruded on her forest...

No longer pinned, the angry Puppet Master, being obese, couldn't get up on his feet within a second, but he got upright as fast as he could. He looked for his ax, which was lodged into the wall it was launched to, when the female intruder kicked his hand. He gripped the handle and yanked it back, ripping it from the wall. He turned and saw the two unwelcome visitors fight each other.
He could have easily won the night by placing a crystal on the distracted masculine girl. He could have done that, and then order the two hypnotized puppets to kill each other. It would have guaranteed a clean, efficient ending to a frustrating night. Unfortunately, he seldom thought things through when enraged, and he didn't even consider this logical action.
Instead, he reacted with a more base emotion: anger. "He's'a under my control," he snarled, his brown eyes burning in intensity. "Two against'a one!" He lunged for She-Wolf from behind, taking a swing with his ax.

... Under his control? Either the large man was referring to being the superior of his ninja lackey, or... there was something more to what he meant. As the girl struggled with Cold Shadow, keeping him at bay by keeping a firm grasp on his staff, her suspicions were confirmed as she noticed, out of the corner of her eye, an unusual detail. Shimmering amidst the duck's black clothing was a sparkling shard of some sort of purple crystal... and this crystal looked strikingly similar to the one dangling off of the Puppet Master's ear.
It didn't take too long for her to put two and two together - and this was fortunate, because she had little time to continue thinking on the matter. The Puppet Master was lunging towards her again, wielding his axe once more, and the wolf girl only noticed as the man was a few feet away from her, as she whirled around to the sound of his footsteps. Just in the nick of time, she let go of the duck ninja's staff to dodge the large man's attack, swiftly leaping to the side and freeing herself from being surrounded by the two. It was a close call, and she could even feel air rushing past her as the axe just barely missed slicing open her flesh.
If what she thought was true, however... her first objective should be to remove the crystal from the duck's person. It wasn't there when she met him in the forest, before, so it was the likely cause of him suddenly acting strangely and attacking her. Quickly locking her eyes onto that purple stone shining on the ninja's clothing, she rapidly darted towards him and took a swipe at him with her claws as she rushed by. Her claws would not make contact with the duck's skin, but would probably tear up his clothing just a little - more importantly, however, they would probably have some effect on the crystal that they had struck.

As the wolf girl lunged toward the hypnotized ninja he brought his staff up with both hands, prepared to bring it down over her skull when she drew near enough. As her claws sliced through the fabric of his ninja gi he simultaneously began to bring down his weapon, the alignment perfect to deliver a savage blow. She-Wolf certainly wouldn't have been able to avoid his latest blow, were it not for the fact that her own efforts sent the crystal fragment flying free from his person, where it flew across the room and disappeared behind a pile of unfinished marionettes, disappearing from sight.
A strange feeling of dizziness washed over the ninja vigilante; the sort of head rush one gets when crouching down and then rising rapidly. Were he not blindfolded, one would have seen that the glazed, seemingly lifeless eyes behind them were renewed to their former luster. His mind became his own again, and the events which had transpired while he was under the Puppet Master's control felt almost dream-like in quality. Seeing as the sudden change in him occurred mid-attack, he suddenly diverted his blow, striking the wooden floor mere inches from her. He could have stopped his attack altogether, but he had a better plan to capitalize on his recent freedom from the large villain's clutches.
He drew in close to She-Wolf, holding his staff in such a way as to make it appear as though they were again struggling. In the midst of this, he leaned in closer, his beak close to her left ear. "Duck." He whispered in her ear before breaking away. He drew his wooden staff back around his shoulder, like how a batter might at a baseball game. He then swung with tremendous force, hoping she would do as he had instructed. If all went well, she would duck out of the way and he would deliver a powerful strike against the incoming Puppet Master instead.

As the girl landed a few feet past the duck ninja, out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of that shining stone glinting in the darkness, and being sent flying into an obscured corner of the caravan's interior. At that exact moment, she could also see a sudden shift in the movements of the duck, as if he had intentionally avoided hitting her with his staff. Had her suspicion been correct...?
... Apparently not. The duck lunged for her again, his staff at the ready. The wolf girl growled in irritation, her fangs bared, and stood her ground as the ninja attacked, once again grasping onto his staff to hold off his assault. Strangely, though... she could feel a noticeable difference in the amount of strength the duck was applying to his staff. He didn't seem to be trying quite as hard to overpower her, this time. Perhaps breaking him free of the stone had done something... weaken him, at the least.
But, she soon discovered his true intentions when he leaned his head in close to hers, causing the wolf girl to blink in alarm and confusion. What was he doing?! She almost instinctively jerked her own head away, until she heard him whisper something. "Duck." Then, she felt her grip on the staff almost involuntarily loosen up as he drew it back.
As she heard the incoming footsteps of the Puppet Master behind her... it then quickly dawned on her what the duck's plans were, now. Inside, the girl felt a sense of relief and even pride that her plan was successful - but there was little to no time to dwell on any of that. As the duck prepared to swing his staff, she instantly lowered herself down to the floor in a four-legged crouching position, shifting into the pose with surprising swiftness.

The Puppet Master took a swing for the boyish-haired girl, but the feral brat had evaded him. Unfortunately, his surprise by her swift evasion, coupled with the intense velocity of his swing, rendered him on the verge of losing his footing. He had regained his balance and observed his feathered pawn, who, from his perspective, appeared to be struggling with the annoying dog of a girl. Two against one was all that was on the fat man's mind as he lunged for his opponent. "Hit her!" he bellowed during his charge.
He did not expect for the duck to take a swing and hit him in the face. The blow pushed him back, and he landed roughly on his rump. He glared at the duck and pointed to her. "Not'a me, stupid! Her! Listen to'a ME!" His nostrils flared.

Whirling away from the wolf girl, the blindfolded duck focused his attention on the rotund criminal, whom had landed indignantly upon his rump. Had Cold Shadow’s eyes been visible, one would see an intimidating glare emanating from them. Though, even without seeing them, one could almost feel the leer piercing straight through the red fabric and into their heart. He gave his staff a couple of spins in his hand, twirling it effortlessly, like a baton, before he assumed a more proper fighting stance.
“Quite the cheap trick, Puppet Master. Though I can see now why you would do it. After all, you’re clearly too incompetent to fight for yourself.” He commented to the Italian ruffian in his usual disguised voice. It was a trait he always employed, as he certainly couldn’t afford for anyone to match his voice against Maui Mallard’s. Even if that was a slim chance, caution was always required. Of course, he rarely spoke to criminals he was apprehending as his ninja persona, believing that actions spoke louder than words; plus stealthy ninjas were rarely known to be chatterboxes. But in this case he had witnessed the man’s flaring temper, and a loss of temper also led to lapses in judgment and fighting abilities.
The battle was still two-against-one, but the tables had turned against the Puppet Master’s favor. Now he had to contend with two speedy vigilantes at once, and the ninja’s latest blow left the man in an unfavorable position upon the floor. Without wasting any more time, Cold Shadow sprinted forward, dodging and weaving with great agility to make his movements unpredictable as he closed in before he let loose a flurry of blows with his wooden staff.
