A young, obviously feminine voice reached the ears of the canines. Looking around for the owner, Frenchie and K. Sera finally spied the bright sapphire eyes of a young girl peering up at them all from a hole in the ground. Both looked at each other and at their companions, puzzled. They hadn’t seen her here before, so where had she come from?
Frenchie quickly pushed his confusion aside as he sprang into action. “Gentleman! There is a young mademoiselle in trouble!” He pointed over at Alice.
“Sera!” Sera woofed, walking over to the burrow alongside Frenchie. The smaller dog peered down at the blonde. “Sera.” He said again, his tone softer so as not to frighten her. He knew that some children feared dogs.
“As K. Sera just explained, we are expert tunnelers. So not worry, we will free you!” Carefully, Frenchie examined the burrow entrance for a minutes and tried to look further down it, muttering to himself. The word “narrow” could be heard. Finally, getting on all fours, he and K. Sera began digging at the edges of the opening, careful to avoid getting dirt on Alice or accidentally injuring her in the process. Showers of dirt flew in every direction.
When they had widened the opening enough, they stepped back. Frenchie grabbed Alice’s right hand, while K. Sera took her left, and together tried to pull her out. Frenchie considered asking Louis to pitch in, but considering how he had manhandled Frenchie earlier, he wasn’t so sure about that idea.
(Thinking about ditching the colored type altogether. It's a leftover habit from an old RP forum.)

Louis, too, heard the gently pleading voice of what sounded like a young girl, and immediately shifted his attention towards where it was coming from. The alligator certainly hadn't forgotten their predicament, and was still worried sick about Tiana - but, whoever was calling out to them, it sure sounded like they could use some help, and Louis wasn't the sort of gator who would sit around when somebody was in trouble.
Louis arrived at the tree-side burrow soon after the two dogs, and peered inside to examine whoever was stuck to find that it was, indeed, a young human girl. The poor thing! "Uh, don't you worry, lil' missy!" Louis called out to the trapped girl, with a tone that was clearly quite concerned. "We'll have ya out in a jiffy!" the big scaly softie added.
Soon enough, the two dogs had managed to dig out enough space to reach in and try and pull the poor child out. Eager to come to the girl's aid as well, Louis went ahead and, without even being asked, grabbed onto the hind legs of both of the dogs, and gave a good strong tug - unsure of what the outcome would be, but certain it would be helpful, nonetheless.

Alice was thankful that she got the attention of the group, and was even more thankful that they helped her. Even though the girl was more of a cat person, she still enjoyed the company of dogs, and greatly appreciated the obviously French canine. She covered her eyes to shield any dirt from getting into them, until she was free to grab the dogs and hopefully leave the burrow.
Unfortunately, Alice still couldn't quite hoist herself up, and that's why the rotund alligator proved useful. Although he had rows of sharp teeth the alligator looked and sounded as kind and friendly as any gentleman. The alligator grabbed the dogs' hind legs and yanked, and now Alice was pulled out. Actually, she was pulled out too much; the sudden tug brought Alice from the burrow and onto her stomach on the ground. She grunted when she hit the earth, and her long hair flapped over her head, and covered most of her eyes and face.
Behind her curtain of hair Alice spoke. "Thank you." This was followed by a soft, short chuckle.

Louis stumbled backwards a few steps and let go of the dogs' legs at the sudden force he felt once the girl was lodged free. After the commotion had settled, he leaned forward to look before him to ensure that all was well, and all, indeed, was well. The young human girl was free - obviously a little shaken from the ordeal, but free nonetheless. Louis smiled bashfully at seeing the results of his own strength, shining a grin that revealed his rows of bright white fangs that greatly contrasted with his friendly expression and embarrassed posture.
With a light laugh, the alligator leaned over and offered to help the girl up - although if the two dogs could help it, they should probably keep the powerful reptile from giving Alice any more assistance than needed. "No trouble at all, missy!" he responded to her thanks, his jolly and friendly demeanor almost radiating off of his scales. His smile soon became a troubled frown, however. "But uh... don't mean to be rude or nothin', but what's a lil' girl like you been doin' stuck in a hole in the ground?" He pointed to said hole as he spoke to the girl.

The sudden tug on Frenchie and K. Sera's back legs elicited cries of surprise and discomfort from then. Fortunately, the little girl was rescued from her predicament, but all the same, neither canine enjoyed being manhandled in such a manner.
As he got to his paws, Frenchie shot Louis a look of irritation. "Monsieur, have you ever heard the saying 'not knowing your own strength'?"
K. Sera merely shook himself off. At least the girl had been freed, although she had landed on her stomach rather unceremoniously. She probably wouldn't be alright for long if Louis got a hold of her. That made for one gory picture in their minds.

Alice, her face still covered by hair, didn't notice Louis's physical offer to help her to her feet. She was glad to rise on her own without assistance. Her eyes were closed as she gracefully flipped her hair back behind her head (where it belonged!) with her dainty hands. She opened them and looked to the tall and fat alligator to politely answer his question. The alligator's teeth and scales betrayed his funny, clumsy personality.
"Well," Alice gestured to the hole in the ground she was in a minute ago, "I had just come from Wonderland, and I ended up in there." She looked up to the alligator again and smiled nicely. "Thank you for helping me, sir."
She then faced the two dogs, and treated them just as respectfully. "Thank you, too," she said to Frenchie, the only dog whose face she could see. She then stammered and curtsied in a ladylike fashion. "O-oh! I mean--Merci beaucoup, monsieurs." In her school, Alice was in the process of learning French as a second language, and so she wanted to seize the opportunity to use it outside of the classroom. Whom better to speak French to than two obviously French dogs?
Alice continued to smile to the dog with the remarkably handsome blue eyes, and her own eyes trailed to the shorter, bushy dog. She didn't know if the dog could see her, but she didn't want to be rude about it just now, so she remained silent (though, ironically, staring at someone could be just as rude as pointing him out).
