The farthest, deepest patches of forest in the Kingdom... Few, if any, humans have ever set foot here. It is pure, pristine, primeval, just as it was ages ago. It appears empty, but is in fact filled with life; here dwell, in richness, flora and fauna of all kinds, accompanied and watched over by the ancient and mysterious gods of the forest.
In the midst of spring, it is almost entirely green. The immense trees, hundreds of years old, the moss-covered stones, roots and earth, all a rich emerald green. Birds fill the air with their melodious symphonies, yet even so the forest seems silent and still. An almost overwhelming sense of peace covers the atmosphere.
A gargantuan old oak stands in the woods, amongst others, coated with green moss and vines. At the base of the ancient tree sits something almost ant-sized in comparison: a human girl. Although human, she looks as though she would not belong at all in the world of man. Primitive markings of striking red paint line her cheeks and forehead. She wears clothing made of animal hide and other natural materials; around her neck is a sort of necklace, at the end of which dangles a shimmering arrowhead-shaped stone. Over her back and shoulders is a cape, made of the lush fur of a white wolf. Clearly, the girl is at home here in the forest, among the beasts and birds and away from her own kind.
Even so, she is a very beautiful creature, and young, possibly only eighteen. She sits at the tree's base with her knees tucked into her chest, her arms wrapped around them, as she gazes inadvertently up into the thick canopy, where only small slivers of sunlight penetrate through. Lost in her thoughts, she just stares into space, thinking... thinking of someone.

The peace would was ultimately broken. The tranquility of the forest, especially in the area surrounding the enormous oak, was disrupted by the repeated cry of what sounded like a man with a heavy, foreign accent.
"Joe!" shouted the voice. The voice was a deep one. "Hey, Joe!" After a pause, the voice intensified. "What's'a matter with you, Joe? You'a makin' the April fool out'a me?!" After another pause, the voice became louder. It was obvious that the voice's source was coming nearer to the forest girl. "JOOOOEEEEEE!" the man hollered mightily. After the shout, the stranger unknowingly revealed himself to the girl; he stepped into the area, unaware of the female.
He was a large man, both in height and weight, but he was obviously strong if he managed to come all the way out here, even with a missing 'Joe.' The top of his head was bald, but otherwise he had black hair, with an equally black pair of bushy eyebrows, and a mustache that was, unsurprisingly, black. The mustache's ends were pointy. On this particular day, he had worn pants and shoes suitable for the forest, and a white button-up shirt that tucked into his belted pants.
His first impression on the girl was a loud one, but his tone quickly decreased. "Joe--What's'a this?" On a dime, he forgot about Joe and focused his eager eyes on the gargantuan oak that had finally caught his attention. He was so fascinated with the oak that he didn't notice the girl. "Say... That's'a really something!" Amazed by the sheer size of the oak, he remained motionless and silent, as he stared.

The sudden shout caught the girl, staring into space, off-guard, but instantly she was on the alert, muscles tensing as her head whipped around to find the source of the call. Without a doubt, it was from a human.
The girl was unsure of what to think of this. For the most part, she felt quite a bit of contempt; she hated her own kind, on account of their ignorance and disrespect towards the forest and its denizens. Such has been her attitude towards humans for years, bitterness carried on from her now deceased 'mother'. On the other hand, recent eventful encounters with a certain boy - an honest, gentle and courageous person who wanted only peace in a time of war - had helped to open her eyes, a little; it would be difficult for her to admit even now, but she realized that not all humans were horrible creatures.
Regardless, she certainly didn't trust whoever this person was; to her, he was a trespasser, unwelcome here. Quite possibly a threat, too - she knew how much the people at the base of the mountains feared and loathed her, even if this man was from much farther away. She quickly assumed a somewhat crouched position, and grabbed a small knife that lay by her side.
Suddenly, the man appeared before her out of the bushes. She remained almost completely frozen and watched him intensely with fierce eyes, waiting a little to see just what this man was doing and what he wanted before, or if, she attacked. To her confusion, however, he seemed to not even notice her... he was staring up at the tree she was seated beneath.
She decided to continue to remain still, for now.

The man continued to stare at the tree, before smiling warmly. "What'a an amazing tree," he mused loudly. He pocketed his left hand and stroked his chin with the right. His eyes trailed from the top of the tree, down towards the bottom. "I'a wonder how old this'a tree is? Must'a be... oh?" His eyes rested on the person he just now noticed: a girl with unusual clothing and marks on her face. He lowered his hands and he smiled; he decided to be friendly with her, even if she appeared unusual. After all, he had seen stranger characters in his time.
"Hello, a'girl!" he said with a deep yet friendly voice. He examined her as he continued to speak. "Do you'a live--close?" His smile faded and his vocal tone changed when he noticed something she was holding. Was that a knife?

The girl became even more tense, the moment she saw the man lay eyes on her. His reaction was somewhat unexpected, though; he was trying to be outright friendly to her, it seemed. This girl never trusted another human so easily, though, and even so, her pride dictated that she not associate with them.
Her cold, distrustful eyes locked onto the man, she remained crouched, but looked as if she could spring up at any moment. The knife remained in her grasp, but said grasp had loosened a little... the man didn't appear to be a threat, at least.
"... What are you doing here?" she spoke up, a mixture of anger and fear in her voice.

The large man nervously cleared his throat and clasped his palms together. "I'm'a looking for my'a friend, Joe." He parted his hands and used his right hand to indicate an approximation of one's height. "He'a this tall." He used his left hand to point to his mustache. "And he'a have a bushy mus'a'tache. Have you'a seen him?" After a beat, his eyes fixed on the knife she carried and motioned to you. "You'a should put down that'a knife. You could'a cut yourself! Knives are'a for cooking, not'a toys!" Worry crossed his face.

Ignoring the man's warnings, the strange girl just stared, straight into the hairy man's eyes with a penetrating glare. As if seeing into his very soul, she looked him over...
Definitely not a threat, she thought... just a simple village-goer, she could affirm. She logically believed that a man like this could not really cause any trouble or harm, but that bitter distrust of other humans still wavered in her heart. She was surprised a man like these was even here, though... he hardly seemed like he would be reverent to the gods of the forest, he probably didn't even know they existed. Briefly, she glanced around the surrounding area, making certain this man wasn't a part of some large noisy troublemaking group. But she could smell no other humans, nor hear any other voices, sighs or rustling.
Either way, having other humans cavorting about in the forest really bothered the girl, but she recalled that boy, again... and all of his talk about peace and some other stuff she didn't entirely get. As much as she disliked this, she didn't want to deal with any real trouble right now. This was just a simple man lost in the forest searching for his friend, nothing of serious concern to her.
After a few seconds of looking over the stranger, she quietly spoke, but in that serious no-nonsense tone she had. "No... I haven't seen your friend." Perhaps this would urge the stranger to go back where he came from, she thought.

The large man nodded, and then shrugged. "Oh, that'a Joe! He'a drive me insane, no? Ohh." He smiled, though it was more nervous than genuine. "Thank'a you for your'a help. I'm'a go now. Arrivederci!" He waved gently at the girl, then proceeded to turn and walk away. But as he continued to walk out of sight, he cupped his mouth and exclaimed, "Hey, JOE!!!"

San almost cringed a little at the man's shouting... what an irritating noise. If he had to find his friend, couldn't he be a little quieter about it?
She was certain now that the stranger wouldn't leave the forest until this human named Joe was found... and she didn't really want to put up with any other humans right now. The sooner this man was found, however, the sooner they would leave, she thought...
"... Listen," she spoke up before the man wandered too far out of hearing range, to catch his attention. "If I help you find your friend... will you two promise to leave this forest? This is no place for humans..." she said with a stern voice and an equally stern gaze.

Tony silenced himself and turned to look down to the pushy girl when she offered him assistance. He raised his arms up to shrug. "Of course!" he replied. "Thees'a forest, is'a beautiful, but not'a for me! I belong in'a my ristorante!" He flashed a playful grin at her. "Thank you, signorina!"

The girl was somewhat surprised, and actually a little relieved by the large man's willingness to agree with her. She was so used to having to fight those stubborn humans to get them to leave... She almost thanked him, but the words just couldn't come out of her throat. Her mind set on a new task, now, she began to dart off into some part of the woods, but stopped and turned to Tony before she ran out of sight. "Wait there," she ordered, and then vanished, for only about three minutes or so.
When she returned, she had company; she was seated atop the back of an enormous white wolf that loped out of the thick bush and into the clearing. Upon sighting Tony with its fierce yellow eyes, it just stared at him, with a sharp, bitter gaze. It was growling lowly, clearly rather annoyed by either the presence of this man, the girl's request for his help, or both. It was certainly in association with the girl, but far from a pet; the wolf was a brother to her.
The wild girl looked down at her canine companion with a hint of concern. She hated to bother her brother with something so trivial, but the sharp nose of a wolf could locate a human in thick forest far better than the girl could ever hope to. The youth mumbled something to the beast, and begrudgingly, it lowered down on its haunches, as if allowing someone else to ride it.
"Get on," she spoke; clearly not a very talkative girl, not to other humans at least.

Tony nodded to the girl when she instructed him to remain still. "Okay," his deep voice said. When the girl left, he clasped his hands together and nervously rubbed his palms, as he thought of his missing companion. After meeting the intense girl, he began to genuinely worry about Joe. He dared not think of a grisly fate befalling his nearly lifelong friend. He winced when he thought of one such idea, and quickly told himself (in Italian) to not think like that, until he finds Joe for himself. He slowly turned a full circle as he examined the environment again, but turned when he heard the girl return... with an enormous wolf. Tony's eyes widened, and he brought his hands up instinctively. "AHH!" he exclaimed. He was initially scared witless, but his reaction segued from shock to awe, when he noticed that the girl had straddled the wolf, as if it were a proper horse. Amazing, he thought.
He stared at the enormous creature in awe, and didn't respond to the girl until a full ten seconds later. He pointed to the wolf and looked to her, still with wide eyes. "You'a joking? On... him?" He was not condescending, of course; he was dumbfounded beyond compare.

The girl expected such a response from the man, it was inevitable that he would be frightened at first. It still made things a little more difficult for her, though. Showing no change in emotion, she looked down at Tony from atop the towering canine.
"He can find your friend much easier than either of us," she bluntly stated. Briefly, she looked down to the wolf's head and smiled lightly, stroking his white fur, before returning to Tony with her no-nonsense gaze. "And he won't harm you, I promise."
The wolf just continued to stare at Tony distrustfully, being patient for the sake of his comrade as he waited for the man to climb aboard.

The large man looked over the spectacularly oversized wolf for a moment longer, before he looked up to the terse, young woman and shrugged. "Okay'a, kiddo," he said with a nod. "You the boss!" Normally, it was Joe who frequently said 'You the boss!' But today, Tony was clearly a stranger in these strangers' territory. The restaurant proprietor on holiday felt intimidated, but he did what he was told; as carefully as he could, he climbed onto the wolf and straddled it. Unfortunately, he failed to climb with grace and finesse; he nearly lost his grip and fell once, and it took him three tries to work his way up to the back. Every time he failed, he muttered under his breath in Italian (presumably offensive profanity). When he grabbed onto the wolf's back and fur, he looked to the forest girl with a worried expression. "Thees'a hurt?" he asked, then looked down to his hands which tightly clutched onto the wolf.

The forest girl just watched the large man's attempts to climb aboard, looking very unamused and exasperated. At that moment, she began to question just why she was doing something like this... yet, she stubbornly denied herself and decided to carry on with it anyway, for reasons even she couldn't understand. It confused her.
All the while, the wolf looked rather displeased, with what seemed to be a grimace on his face. His lips curled up in an involuntary snarl every time his fur was yanked by the man's chunky hands, but he refrained from growling; no use in trying to scare this man off or anything, his friend didn't seem to want that right now. Were she not around, though, he'd be as good as a snack.
At last, the stranger had settled atop the wolf's back, much to the canine's relief. Reacting to the man's question, the girl looked back at him, mildly surprised by his concern for her partner. Shaking that off, she simply shook her head silently to signify 'no.' Truthfully, it really only bothered the wolf when his coat was tightly tugged in the process of climbing aboard; this was never a problem with the girl, who could leap right onto the wolf with ease.
Quietly and just below audibility, she muttered something into her friend's large pointed ears, gently stroking the beast's massive head. Apparently she was giving instructions. Not bothering to look back at the man this time, she ordered, "Hang on tight," as a warning. He had little time to do so, though, as the wolf's muscles quickly began to shift, and within seconds it had broke out into a sprint, bounding into the depths of the forest. It ran smoothly, as if following a clearly defined path that only the wolf's nose could make out.

The large man raised an expressive eyebrow, and his head slightly so his left ear could try and pick up what the girl was whispering to the large wolf. He couldn't hear what was said, but he definitely heard, 'Hold on.'
"Hold'a o?-WHOA!" he exclaimed loudly. He grabbed onto the wolf and held on tight, as if his very life depended on it. He clutched tightly onto the flesh and fur, gripping so tightly that his knuckles grew white, and he leaned forward as much as he could. He was scared at first, but it wasn't long before he changed his mind.
He was petrified.
Holding on, the excited man closed his eyes and prayed that they wouldn't fall off, or get severely hurt. "Mi sento male!" he exclaimed, in Italian.

In contrast to the Italian desperately clinging on for his life, the wild girl held on to the wolf with amazing ease, riding it as well as an expert jockey rides a horse. And despite the man's thick knuckles grasping tightly onto the wolf's fur, the animal didn't stop or miss a step at all, and kept on cruising through the forest, expertly winding between bushes and massive trees.
Briefly, the girl turned her head back to check on the passenger, who looked absolutely terrified and seemed to be muttering a prayer or something. Sighing with mild annoyance, she turned her attention back to the trail.
Surprisingly, the sprint didn't even last a minute. The scent of human was becoming more and more prominent to the wolf; they were very close, now. The canine, panting to catch its breath, slowed down and momentarily stopped in its tracks, and lowered its snout to the ground to reevaluate where the trail led to. After affirmation, the giant wolf carried on, now following the trail with a slower, smoother trot. The trio was soon led to a small grove, the scent growing even stronger to the wolf with every step it took.

The man hesitantly straightened his back and opened his eyes when the wolf gradually slowed to a halt, and then continued with an agreeable trot. The Italian-American exhaled loudly, as if sighing exaggeratedly, and chuckled meekly while placing his right hand on his heart. His left hand continued to grip the wolf, but not as tightly anymore. "Mama mia!" he chuckled.
He noticed the grove as they entered, and he looked around to the very pretty (yet ominous) scenery as they moved. "Joe'a, he gonna'a answer to me when'a we find him!" Tony declared that statement very proudly, and he shook his right fist vehemently.

Momentarily, the great wolf stopped, and raised his head to look back at the girl atop his shoulders, with those baleful golden eyes of his.
"The human is close," spoke a deep, powerful-sounding voice - male, with a growling, almost beast-like tone. The voice mysteriously seemed to come from no particular direction at all, and almost seemed like only a thought to whoever had heard it. It echoed slightly, and seemed almost ethereal in its presence. Tony might have noticed the wolf's lips just barely move as the strange voice spoke.
However, this didn't seem the least bit odd to the girl, who only responded with a silent nod of affirmation. She lightly turned her head back to Tony, her facial expression unchanged along with her no-nonsense tone of voice. "Try calling out to him," she suggested. The human would be found much quicker that way, and with less effort.

Tony had practically fallen white as a sheet after hearing the masculine, seemingly disembodied voice. Unfortunately for the wolfgirl, the man hadn't noticed the wolf's lips. This would create a moment of great confusion and anxiety for the man. His wide eyes frantically looked everywhere around him, and he trembled.
"Either'a I go crazy," he stammered, "or a ghost, he'a speak!" The spooked man looked back to the wolfgirl, with an expression as if to say, 'Did you hear that?'

The wolfgirl turned around, once again, to face Tony as he spoke up, and seeing his completely horrified reaction to her brother's voice, her face shifted into a rather annoyed and exasperated expression. She had almost forgotten that most humans never encountered animals that spoke like them... couldn't they recognize a divine beast when they saw it, though?
The girl made a sigh, almost sounding like a groan. "It wasn't a ghost," she explained, wanting to do so as quickly and bluntly as possible. "It was him." She looked down to the wolf's massive head and laid a hand on it; the wolf said nothing, though, as he had said all he needed to. Hopefully the simple human could comprehend all this, San thought...
"Now, call for your friend, already." She was clearly becoming rather impatient, even if only approximately fifteen minutes had passed.

Tony's eyes comically grew in size, and he stared at the majestic wolf in disbelief. He was in complete awe after realizing that the wolf had spoken in fluent English. Even his English was tenfold better than Tony's, and he was a wolf! "Mama Mia," he said lowly in disbelief. He rubbed his chin (because he didn't know what else to do) as he stared at the wolf for just a moment longer. He finally turned his head to San and nodded meekly. "Mi scusi," he apologized.
He looked ahead, and wore a determined expression on his face. He cupped his hands together and placed them around his lips to form a makeshift megaphone. He took a deep breath and hollered with his deep, mighty voice, "Hey, Joe!" After his very loud shout, which echoed, the Italian-American remained still and quiet, not even breathing, and waited for a response in anticipating. He waited, and hoped.
Much to Tony's delight, there was a response. It was slightly delayed, and the answer was not nearly as thunderous as the large man's holler. But it was indeed an audible response. "Tony!" the voice responded, a voice all-too familiar to the large man. "Is that'a you?!"
The man, whom San could now assume to be named Tony, smiled from ear to ear. He clapped his hands together once loudly, and laughed in relief. "He's'a here!" he exclaimed happily, first to the wolf and again to the wolfgirl. "Thank you'a so much!" His gratitude was sincere and warm.

The girl waited alongside Tony in silence, ears open. Hearing a significantly different-sounding voice respond, she sighed with relief, quickly deducing that the voice came from the man's friend that he was searching for. She was quite thankful that he was found so quickly... she was unsure how much longer she could stand the presence of this loud man.
Tony turned to her to exclaim his thanks in a joyous tone. The girl blinked, slightly taken aback; she couldn't recall ever being thanked. At that, it took her a few seconds to remember just what 'thank you' meant... wolves weren't known for their politeness. The girl was unsure of how to respond... so she remained silent in response, as did the wolf. Something in her told her to smile back, but she refused at even the idea.
"You can get off, now," she spoke again in her somber tone. Carefully, the giant wolf lowered his backside to allow the large man to do so (admittedly, while San seemed light as a feather, the addition of this other human made things a bit more difficult for the wolf...).

The man nodded to the woman. As terse and socially awkward as she was (of course he wouldn't say that to her!), Tony was nevertheless deeply grateful to her for her invaluable assistance. The large man carefully slid down the wolf and luckily landed on his feet, unharmed. He hurried after the voice, but didn't have to run far; the man named Joe, wearing clothing similar to his companion, hurried after Tony's own voice. "Tony!" he exclaimed in relief, throwing up his hands in ecstasy. "You'a here!"
Tony grinned from ear to ear, and ran. He may have been large and overweight, but his burst of speed was nevertheless impressive; he practically collided into Joe, wrapping his arms around him for a tight embrace. He was angry at being worried sick, but his frustration was outweighed by relief and joy. "Joe!" he chortled as he hugged. He closed his eyes and continued, "You'a rascal, you!"
Joe returned the hug. Although he smiled, his eyes were deeply apologetic. "I'm'a sorry, Tony! I was'a lost here. Is'a pretty here, though!"
"Ohhh, Joe," Tony sighed, followed by a laugh. They continued to hug.

As the brothers embraced and rejoiced, the girl - her name yet still unknown to Tony and Joe - silently observed the two from atop the white wolf. Right now, she was rather unsure of what to say or do. The other human was found, and her work here was done... although she still wanted to make sure the two men left the forest, as she requested.
On the other hand... somehow, she began to question her concern for this. What harm could these two men bring, really? The girl could sense no malice at all in these two. It seemed that they genuinely appreciated the forest, and respected it. And they were warm and friendly... even to her. They regarded her not with fear or contempt, but treated her just as one of their own... besides AGoodness!aka, they are the only humans who have done so to her, an outcast among her own kind, regarded as a demon by many.
It almost made her want to thank Tony... but she just couldn't get herself to. She didn't have it in her to forgive humans yet; at least, she suspected. So she remained silent, frustratedly mulling over these confusing feelings inside of her.

After their embrace, Joe looked from Tony to the young woman. And the enormous wolf.
The enormous wolf?! "Tony!" Joe exclaimed. Frightened, he pointed a quivering finger at the large beast. Then he pointed to the young woman. "There's'a wolf! And a--a girl?!"
Tony laughed jovially and gestured to the wolf and the girl much friendlier. "Joe, these two, they make'a me find you! Thank'a you," Tony politely yet concernedly addressed the young woman, "but I forget'a your name."
Joe largely calmed himself, but he was still uneasy at the sight of the impossibly large wolf. "Tony, she's'a straddling it!"
Tony rolled his eyes but kept his smile, then looked back to Joe. "We r-r-rode it, Joe!" He rolled his 'Rs' with is tongue, and thrust his hands in the air to emphasize his accomplishment. "We'a come looking for you, and we'a ride the wolf!" He grinned widely.
Joe stared in disbelief, and exchanged looks from his companion to the strangers. "Weren't you'a scared?" he asked Tony.
Tony's grin immediately turned into a scowl. "What difference does'a make?!" he erupted. "We found you!" He pointed to the young woman with admiration. "She'a speaks to the wolf, Joe!"
After hearing this, Joe stared at the wolf girl for an awkward moment, before smiling ear to ear and bursting with laughter. He clenched his eyes shut and nearly dropped to the forest floor in his laughter. "To--hahaha! Tony, wolves don't talk! You two are'a crazy!"
Tony's face reddened, and his pulsated with frustration. "Whass'a matter with you?!" he exclaimed, the loudest he had been all day. "The wolf talks, stupido!" He lightly shoved Joe. "I break'a you face'a for scaring me and say'a we are'a liars!"
Very comically, Tony and Joe changed attitudes in a span of sixty seconds.

The wild girl soon lost her train of thought as she watched in confusion as the two men below began to bicker, suddenly. Still quiet, she just listened to the brothers' banter, switching her glance from one man to the other. She kept this up, unsure of just how to respond to this... until, suddenly, a smile cracked on her face, followed by a light, somewhat restrained chuckle. Somehow, she was unable to hold this in, and for a short moment, her humorless facade had faded.
Meanwhile, the wolf didn't seem so amused by this. Intent on silencing the argument, it decided to speak up for itself, in its deep, growling voice.
"He's not lying, human."

Joe jumped back and collided against a nearby tree. His face went pale as his frightened eyes darted everywhere, searching for the prankster. "Who's'a there?!"
Satisfied with the reaction, Tony closed his eyes and laughed very hard, as if he had seen the funniest thing of his entire life... which was probably the actual case! "You see, Joe? The wolf, he'a talks!" He continued to laugh as Joe admitted defeat.
Calmer than before, Joe stepped from the tree and looked at both the wolf and its rider fearfully. "I'm sorry! I was'a wrong."
Tony finally stopped laughing. He wiped the tears from his face and sniffed. He, took, looked to the wolf girl with a smile of gratitude. "Thank'a you so much, both of you! We'a leave the forest now, we promised." He said in a lower vocal tone to Joe. "And we stick'a together?"
"Okay, Tony," Joe nodded timidly. He was more reserved ever since the wolf spoke and scared the dickens out of him.

The wolf's facial expression seemed mostly unchanged, but somehow, it let out an aura of satisfaction at seeing the doubtful human's response. The giant canine only continued to stare down at Tony and Joe, its eyes intimidating yet rather gentle.
The wild girl atop the wolf continued to laugh, in a surprising change of emotions from her earlier attitude towards the men. The laughter soon died out, but an amused smile remained. For just a moment, her icy demeanor broke to reveal a certain childlike quality within the girl. She quickly got a hold of herself, however, not wanting to be too open around these unfamiliar humans... but a smile remained on her face. It seems she had trusted the two enough, now, to at least give them a smile.
"... Thank you, too," she responded to Tony's thanks, with soft and short words. Her smile was restrained, but a certain sincerity could be seen in it, showing how she appreciated their agreeableness. "... Be careful to not lose your way, though," she shortly added; her smile shortened until it was no longer a smile, but not a frown.

"We won't!" Tony reassured both the wild girl and the wolf. "But'a just to be sure, which direction'a is a good way out of here?" He held up a hand that was ready to point in a specific direction, but he didn't know where to head for the easiest, fastest way out of the great forest.
Joe trusted the wolf less than Tony did by this time. He shrugged and asked bluntly, "Why don't'a you take us there?"
Tony turned and shook his head, and spoke to Joe lowly. However, his voice could still be heard by the forest's prominent duo. "Joe, they'a help us so much already. We shouldn't'a steal any more time of theese."
"Why not?" Joe asked. He, too, wasn't subtle because of his volume.
The two argued, already forgetting about the girl and the wolf altogether.
