Paradox was inside his laboratory in the Dream League's property, on Overlook Island. The wizard, in his Dream League costume, was busy at work writing frantically in a large blank book. He wrote a thorough and detailed report on a purple, illuminant rock he found. The pretty yet mysterious rock was on display in his lab, and the old wizard exchanged focus between examining the rock and writing in his book.

Dreamchild, as well as the other members of the Dream League, was aware that Paradox founded that strange rock. That rock, the wizard argued, was not made of any mineral found in this world. The English, 12-year-old girl in her costume entered Paradox's laboratory after knocking politely.
"Excuse me, Paradox?" she said. She slowly approached him when she didn't receive an answer; the old man was so concentrated that he didn't respond. She was about to speak to him again, but she heard someone enter the room behind her. She turned and looked.

Seated on a perch positioned not far from either Paradox or the strange rock that was on display in his laboratory was his ever-present companion, Archimedes. Normally, the owl would have been sleeping at this hour, but, in fact, he, too, was quite curious about this strange rock that Merlin had found. The way the old man had babbled on about how it was not made of any mineral known to man and how it had unusual qualities couldn't help but pique the owl's curiosity. He eyed it suspiciously from his perch, looking almost as if he was entranced by the stone's luminance.
A light knocking on the door caused him to shift his attention to Dreamchild, who had just entered. As she spoke to Paradox, he glanced over at the old wizard as he diligently scribbled down notes on the purple rock, expecting him to at least look up at her... but not a response. He did tend to get caught up in his work, at times, but rarely enough to outright ignore somebody.
Footsteps alerted the owl to the presence of somebody else, and he quietly watched as yet another Dreamer entered the room.

In stepped Sunshine, who was in her costume with one noticeable exception: her mask. She didn't wear her purple mask over her eyes, and so her beautiful, shapely face was fully exposed. Not that it mattered in the Overlook; she trusted her friends in the team, and didn't fear them knowing that she was, in fact, Princess Aurora of Eyvindria.
The Ray of Hope also heard the news that Paradox found a strange rock from the vast depths of the Pacific Ocean. She wanted to see for herself, and that's why she entered the wizard's laboratory.
"Hello, Dreamchild! Archimedes, Paradox." She smiled pleasantly at them, then immediately noticed the strange glow from the rock. She stepped closer to it and examined it. Tempting as it was, she didn't touch it with her hands. She merely examined it, with her hands locked behind her back.

The Masked Mallard had heard the chatter traveling through the Overlook concerning his wizard teammate's discovery. At first the old duck was tempted to shrug it off -- it was just a wee rock after all, and the Dream League had bigger fish to fry.
But then his caution had gotten the better of him. If it had Paradox so up in arms, then surely it was worth checking out. He trusted Paradox and knew he wasn't given to crying wolf. So he decided to go down to Paradox's lab to see what all the fuss was over for himself. The Gentleman's Crimefighter was the next to arrive after Sunshine.
"Hello, all." He doffed his top hat to those assembled. The purple rock wasn't hard to miss, and he turned his head to favor it with a glance. "Well Paradox, why exactly is this rock so special?"

Soon enough, the group gathering inside of Paradox's laboratory grew larger and larger. A fourth visitor arrived shortly after the Masked Mallard's entry - She-Wolf stepped into the spacious room, her eyes as solemn and suspicious as ever. Her unamused facial expression might lead one to believe that she cared nothing for the goings on in the room, but, truth be told, she was the slightest bit curious. Paradox seemed highly interested in that particular stone... unusually so. And even the often impertinent She-Wolf recognized the old wizard's extensive knowledge - there had to be something behind this. Perhaps this strange rock was worth investigating, herself.
She-Wolf stood at the far edge of the group, but had stopped to stand not too far away from Sunshine. She stood tall - as tall as the relatively short girl could stand - with her arms crossed over her chest and her interrogating gaze surveying all of the goings on in the room, particularly the glittering purplish stone... Against her will, She-Wolf found herself staring into it for more than just a few seconds. She wouldn't admit it... but it was a pretty stone.

Savage, currently in his formidable werewolf-like form, stepped into the room, grateful that he didn't need to duck and or angle his muscular bulk to fit inside for once. In addition to Paradox, who was preoccupied with writing (presumably about the purple rock) in a book, he counted five other Dreamers already gathered there: Sunshine, Archimedes, the Masked Mallard, She-Wolf, and Dreamchild.
He gave the rock an unimpressed look. He had a hard time getting excited about this. Boring crap like this was more Doppler's speed; he could just picture that scrawny twerp firing off all sorts of questions about it. Whatever the deal with this thing was, it had be better be important. If the rock couldn't help the Dream League in any way, then what was the point of sitting around writing about and staring at the thing? They could be out smashing bad guys right now!
Still though, Savage refrained from griping at Paradox and the others, instead choosing to silently stand not far from the entrance, his lupine face set in a stony expression and his eyes on the wizard, waiting to hear what Paradox had to say.

No answer. At first, Dreamchild was fairly annoyed and offended that she was outright ignored, but then she recalled that the wizard, at the prime of his research, could be so intensely focused on something that words couldn't faze or distract him. Thus, she concluded that the wizard didn't mean to be rude; he was just far away. Very well, she would just simply bring him back.
Sunshine, and then the Masked Mallard--both of whom had entered following the Dream Come True--had also tried greeting Paradox, but the wizard also didn't react to them. Dreamchild smiled and shook her head. "I don't think he'll listen to us until we break his concentration."
She was about to do just that, when she noticed the entrance of She-Wolf, followed shortly after by Savage. It's fitting how these two were closer together, considering that they were the most unpleasant and antagonistic members of the Dream League. They've gotten better and more tolerable over time, there's no question about that, but Dreamchild indulged herself with an amusing thought. Savage and She-Wolf would make an ideal married couple, considering how moody and offensive they could get. A match made in heaven! What would their children look like?
...
Dreamchild grimaced at the mental image. She was imaginative and frequently conjured mental illustrations, but sometimes she opted to abandon a disquieting image.
"I'll see if I can get his attention," she announced. She looked to Paradox and spoke to the frantically researching wizard telepathically. <<Paradox? We're all here. We want to talk to you about that stone.>>
