Real Name: Unknown
Alias: The Coachman
Age: Unknown
Species: Human (or at least humanoid)
Sex: Male
Nationality: English
Alignment: Evil
Affiliated With: The Whisper, shadowy henchmen
Status: Active
Physical Description (Body structure, eye color, hair color, etc.): A tall and imposing figure with a thick, stout build and a plump, round face. He has prominent bushy, white eyebrows and unruly white tufts of hair which escape from beneath his hat, His ears are small and his nose is bulbous and a darker coloration than his pale flesh tone. His eyes are a green coloration. A notable feature is that he only has four fingers on each hand (three fingers and a thumb).
Appearance: Wears a long, red coat which closes over his chest from left to right and is secured by a series of four large, gold buttons which form a sort of 'box' configuration (were the dots to be connected) over his chest. On either hand are muddy brown rider gloves with three black lines over each palm and darker colored bands where the gloves end at the wrist. The gloves go over the arms of his red coat. Around his neck is a navy blue scarf. Wears a dark brown foot on each foot. Crowning his head is a gray-colored coachman hat with a muddy brown band with an orange and red feather sticking out of the left side. Is often smoking a brown tobacco pipe.
Abilities and Powers: The full scope of the Coachman's powers are largely unknown. He can transform humans (and similar beings) into donkeys, though whether he does this through 'powers' or other means are largely unknown. He also controls a small army of shadowy servants as well as an apparition known as the Whisper but, again, the details in how he does this are a mystery. An inhuman capability he does have is to alter his flesh tone and produce demonic facial expressions, to which there is no logical explanation for.
Weaknesses: Without fully understanding him or his powers (if he even has any at all) it is impossible to pinpoint any specific weakness.
Accessories: Numerous
Character Information (Personality & Motivation): The Coachman arrived on the shores around America from overseas, and while his origins are not well defined his Cockney accent suggests he is of English upbringing. This, strangely enough, is just about where all information on the Coachman ends. Unlike many villains, who conceal their identity the way that heroes also do, the Coachman is always the Coachman, and his identity as a whole is his secret. His real name is unknown and, in fact, even his title of 'Coachman' is a nickname which was given to him for lack of an alternative and not a pen name he devised himself.
What is known is that the Coachman is malicious in intent. While his goal seems to be monetary gain, his actions seem to promote more of him wanting to cause chaos and discontent while gathering money, as he could easily utilize his ingenious plans to more practical criminal activity than what he chooses to do, and probably at higher profit. It seems he chooses his ventures based on how much misery they will cause, holding this in higher regard than profit generated.
He is coldly uncaring, and seems to have lost all trace of pity, remorse, or concern for human lives or feelings. Although he cares nothing about others or their concerns, he is a creepily excellent con-artist and is known to 'ally' himself with those whom he can use, then discard them like old rubbish, playing to their interests and presenting himself as a man who both cares about their issues and can help them reach their goal. Once they are of no further use to him he will brush them aside like an old glove, or do unspeakable things to them. He is clever and crafty, a deadly combination.
The Coachman currently owns an amusement park situated on a solitary island off the coasts of Calisota. The park is called 'Pleasure Island II,' suggesting that somewhere, at some time, there was a 'Pleasure Island I.' Though the details on that are anyone's guess. The park is filled with all manner of rides and attractions, and only those the Coachman hand picks are permitted to visit the park.
Helping him to run and maintain the amusement park, the Coachman controls a group of sinister, shadowy, gorilla-like creatures which do his bidding. In addition to this he frequently consults with the Whisper, a phantom-like entity who acts as his right-hand man. The Whisper is a floating, transparent, blue cloak with a luminous outline and a drawn hood, concealing its face. When the cloak is opened, it is revealed that nothing but emptiness is inside, much like a black hole, save for a pair of gloves which do not connect to any arms. It is not a physical life form, and can phase through objects, though it also cannot directly touch physical matter, just as it cannot touch the Whisper. What it can do is project otherworldly plasma energy; this energy is harmful and can be used as an attack, and it also has other properties, such as the ability to effect machinery. The Coachman often reacts and responds to the Whisper as if in conversation, though no sounds can be heard from the Whisper from anyone other than the Coachman himself, suggesting that he alone has the ability to hear and communicate with the specter.
As with anyone as eerie and unknown as the Coachman, rumors have spread around this malignant figure. One rumor is that he sold his soul to Chernabog in exchange for worldly power. Another states he is a demon of chaos, personified in human form to spread chaos and anarchy. Yet another is that he used dark arts to summon the evils of man unto himself and that he gains power from human suffering. The speculation goes on, but no one but the Coachman himself really knows for sure, and he doesn't seem to be telling.
