Name: Br’er Bear. Please note that there is supposed to be an apostrophe, despite the fact that it cannot be used in an Xsorbit account name.
Age: Unknown; possibly in his thirties. Forties?
Nationality: Southern United States.
Species: Bear. Duh!
Gender: Male.
Powers: What Br’er Bear lacks in brains, he definitely makes up in brawn. Whereas Br’er Fox is crafty, Br’er Bear is strong.
Allied with: Br’er Fox.
Mortal Enemy: Br’er Rabbit (supposedly).
Basic Information: Though he can become very ferocious when angered, Br’er Bear is mostly a lazy, easy-going Southern character. Him tagging along with Br’er Fox may deem him “villainous”, but he can be good-natured in the presence of benevolent Disney characters.
He is Br’er Fox’s sidekick, so to speak, and he also craves for a nice pot of rabbit stew. Unfortunately, Br’er Bear is more hindrance than help because he is easily duped; had it not be for Br’er Bear, Br’er Fox would probably have Br’er Rabbit cooked by now.
Movie/Show: “Song of the South” (1946); Splash Mountain.
Voice Actor: Nicodemus Stewart. As he did in the 1946 film, Nick Stewart voiced Br’er Bear in Splash Mountain. Sadly, he passed away in 2000. He was 90 years old.
Most Likely To Say: "Look, les' just knock his head clean off!"
Least Likely To Say: "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this tale... The Tale of the Tar Baby."
