Real Name: Oogie Boogie
Alias: The Boogie Man
Age: Ageless
Species: Spirit; bugs
Sex: Appearance, voice, and mannerisms are masculine
Nationality: A supernatural realm that does not exist on the Dream League's plane of existence
Alignment: Evil
Affiliated With: Himself
Status: Active
Physical Description (Body structure, eye color, hair color, etc.): The Boogie Man appears seven feet in height, and is large and rotund. He has hollowed eyes, a large mouth, and his hands are without fingers. He has a living snake as a tongue; the snake has orange and black stripes.
Appearance: The Boogie Man is often seen in the form of a large burlap sack stuffed fully with bugs, snakes, and arachnids.
Abilities and Powers: The Boogie Man can manipulate and fuel the nightmares of his victims. Boogie Man is terrifying and nightmarish.
Weaknesses: The Boogie Man is fettered in the confines of the dream realm, unless he harvests a sufficient amount of fear and terror from his victims. How long this will take the Boogie Man depends on how successful he is in scaring his victims through their nightmares. Also, the Boogie Man's biggest weakness is the courage of his victims; if those he's terrorizing are not scared and are not afraid of him, the Boogie Man is drastically weakened, and is likely to be afraid, himself. Lastly, when Boogie Man is in the tangible world, he can be stopped if the "queen bug" inside his burlap sack is killed. Once the queen is killed, the Boogie Man is stopped (though he'll resurface in nightmares sometime in the future). The Boogie Man is also vulnerable to greed and sexually attractive women.
The Boogie Man is a gambler, and, if a victim of his is persuasive, he might gamble with the victim. This, however, is strongly not recommended for any character, because 1) there's always the chance that the victim would lose, and 2) even if the victim wins, the Boogie Man cheats.
Accessories: A pair of red dice with morbid designs on each face. These dice are Boogie Man's favorite possession, and he is almost always seen with them.
Character Information (Personality & Motivation): The Boogie Man, apparently named Oogie Boogie, is often believed to be a silly urban legend, but the truth is he exists in the nightmares of his victims. In the Dream League universe, when a little kid is scared of the Boogie Man (also spelled around the world as boogeyman, or bogeyman), it's very likely that he or she is specifically scared of Oogie Boogie. The Boogie Man has the power to choose which victim to terrorize through nightmare, though he simply randomly haunts frightened victims without selection.
The Boogie Man is evil, cruel, and mean. He exists only to scare his victims, and he, tragically, is responsible for numerous inexplicable cases of victims dying of fright in their sleep. The Boogie Man feels no remorse for his actions, and he takes sadistic delight in torturing helpless, vulnerable dreamers, especially little children.
The Boogie Man is an accomplished singer and gambler, although he cheats if he doesn't have his way. He does not live in the tangible world of Earth; he resides in the supernatural realm, on a plane of existence one can only be invited to through dreams. The Boogie Man lives in this realm, in a lair designed by himself. The lair is disturbing, filled with twisted, macabre torturing devices resembling nightmarish casino items.
