Real Name: Gadget Hackwrench
Alias: Mechnician
Age: 20
Species: Mouse
Sex: Female
Nationality: American
Alignment: Lawful Good
Affiliated With: Formerly, The Rescue Rangers
Status: Active
Physical Description (Body structure, eye color, hair color, etc.):
Gadget's hair is long and thick, a sort of dark blonde in color. Plus, her body is covered with light brown fur. She has large blue eyes with long eyelashes, and although she never wears make-up, she is still very pretty. Her build is petite, but not delicate.
Appearance (Dream League): Mechnician wears a purple bodysuit with a collapsible leather helmet and goggles in lieu of a mask. Like many mice, she wears no shoes.
Appearance (Outside of Costume): Preferring comfort and utility to fashion, Gadget usually wears simple coveralls, with goggles to keep the hair out of her face. Even when tuning an engine or greasing an undercarriage, her femininity shows in her choice of colors.
Abilities and Powers:
Mechnician's power might be dubbed 'technopathy,' for as a telepath reads minds, she can read machines, sensing their inner workings, and more, able to control them. Using only her brain, Mech can reach out to start a nearby car, or change the direction of an airplane, or read the files on a computer.
In addition, Mechnician has the ability to fly.
Weaknesses: As she stands less than three inches tall, Mechnician can only affect machines up to a certain size. With extremely large or complicated devices, she finds herself straining for control, and may be able to affect only one section at a time.
For example, she would find a giant super-robot too much to handle, but could cancel its photo-receptors, or force it to back up, or prevent its lasers from firing, but not all three at once.
Once she gains mental control of a device, Mech must concentrate to keep it.
Accessories: She keeps an assortment of tools in her belt pouches, 'cause you never know when you'll have to fix something.
Character Information (Personality & Motivation):
Gadget is a techno-whiz, inventor and crime-fighter. However, since she is almost completely self-educated, her knowledge is erratic and unsystematic, sometimes resulting in bizarre creations and mechanical disasters. Gadget rarely gets discouraged; she just goes back to the drawing board.
Personality-wise, she's just plain nice. Nice, affectionate, cheerful, kind and sympathetic.
For all her braininess, Gadget also has a pronounced streak of innocence. She knows little about social interaction and inter-personal relationships, which sometimes leads to social blunders and an unfortunate tendency to be too blunt.
She tends to talk too much and she sometimes forgets the safety precautions her inventions should have. With more book-smarts than comon sense, she can find her trusting nature easily taken advantage of.
