*A red haired cowgirl doll rolled down a hill from somewhere, her limbs flailing in well....doll-like manner. When she came to a stop, she was in a peculiar position, one that wouldn't be possible if you had bones. Thankfully, being a toy, she didn't. As if nothing had happened, she stood up quickly with a flip, and dusted herself off, taking off her hat and brushing the dust off it as well. She jams it back on her head and sighs, looking around.*
Well, shoot! Darn varmint hole, always like to pop up in the wrong places like that. Now where is that last monkey...monkey! Here monkey! Plastic lil' rascal...the rest of your family in the barrel are gonna miss ya somethin' fierce!...and I best head back soon as well, before Andy finds me gone!

By chance, another animate object that should logically be inanimate appeared at the scene. He carried with him a schoolbook under his left arm, and held in his right hand a red apple. He skipped along merrily, his joints squeaking and his wooden frame clattering with each step. He was a living wooden marionette, with no strings attached. His name was Pinocchio.
Pinocchio skipped, but gradually slowed to a complete halt when he saw the tiny, cute, redheaded doll. "Hello!" he chirped down to the smaller toy. He wore a smile of genuine innocence.

Shortly after the animated puppet arrived on the scene, a tiny black-and-white kitten padded towards the two. Figaro had decided to follow Pinocchio to school today, whether Geppetto liked it or not; he had managed to sneak away behind the old toymaker's back, this time.
Figaro's wide yellow eyes brightened with curiosity at the sight of the living doll. The little cat pattered over to Pinocchio's side to get a closer look, and mewed inquisitively.

*The green eyed cowgirl doll turned at the sound of the voice addressing her to face the biggest wooden doll she'd seen in her life!*
Sweet grandmother of Davy Crockett!
*She composes herself quickly however, then smiles, waving.*
Well howdy! I don't suppose ya seen a little red monkey toy 'round these parts, have ya?

Pinocchio's eyes and mouth widened jovially, as if he was about to enthusiastically reply yes to the toy cowgirl's question. But on a dime, his expression changed to innocence. He shook his head and replied, "Nuh-uh." After a short pause he asked, "What's a monkey?" He then looked down to his black and white cat and continued, "Is he a monkey?"

Figaro, having quietly listened to the two dolls converse (and not seeming the least bit baffled to see another talking toy), blinked with surprise at Pinocchio as he gestured to him. Somehow seeming a little insulted, the kitten frowned and shook his head to tell Pinocchio that, no, he was not a monkey.

*Jessie gave a hearty laugh, tipping her hat out of her eyes.*
Shoot, no! That's just a 'lil kitty cat...'course to me, he's more like a mountain lion!
*She gave the black and white kitten a gentle pat on the head. Suddenly she realized something.*
OH! Well, why didn't I think'a that before! The critter call! That should flush out that monkey!
*She took a deep breath and let out a loud yodel.*
YODEL-AY-EEEE-HOOOOOO!
*Her yodel echoes through the area...after a few moments of silence, an ooking and hooting sound was heard. The redheaded doll glanced around until she found the little plastic primate, in a tree.*
Oh there he is! Don't know how he got up there without his family though...
*She glanced up at the tree...she had a lasso, but it was still taller than she could reach the rope. Jessie then got an idea. She turned to the wide-eyed puppet.*
Say, pardner...think ya could give me a little boost? If I can get up high enough, I might be able ta lasso that critter!

The wooden puppet looked from Figaro back to the toy. He smiled and nodded his head, which resulted in a rattling noise, another sign that he wasn't human. "Okay!" He gripped the back of his right gloved hand with his left, readying himself to assist the girl in giving her a boost up closer to the tree. As he did, his smile softened and he asked his new friend a question. "What's a lasso?" he asked. "Pardner?"

*Jessie carefully climbed up onto the wooden boy's hands, and taking a rope she had hung on her hip out, she whirls it in the hair, the loop at the end becoming a circle as it sped up.*
This is a lasso, kid!
*As soon as it got fast enough, she tosses it toward the monkey, catching it's hook-like arm. As soon as the loop went around the simian's plastic appendage, the cowgirl doll pulled on the rope gently but firmly, the loop tightening, and also pulling the monkey out of the tree. The primate tumbled, but Jessie, having a hold of the rope, kept him from falling completely. She pulled it up, and untied it. Jessie whooped loudly, elated from saving the other toy.*
YEE-HAH! Toy successfully rescued! Much obliged for your help, kiddo! What's your name?

Figaro instinctively inched his fuzzy head away from Jessie's hand as it reached for him, but quickly decided to allow her to pet him, with a light purr. When she was done, he grinned to himself at her comment; a mountain lion? He liked the sound of that...
The kitten attentively observed as Jessie skillfully captured the tiny plastic monkey with her lasso. Once it was caught, Figaro, ever curious, carefully inched over to the toy primate, as if stalking it, and raised a paw to gently bat at it.
