After her run in with the lion and gorilla, La had wasted little time hurrying towards her destination. She'd found it months ago, and since had discovered that it was a good place to hide valuables.
With the python guardian of the human ruins become older and older, it seemed this would become the new cache of the jungle.
Landing gracefully in front of a temple built straight into the mountain side, La padded swiftly towards it. The entrance was crumbled and hidden behind centuries of vines and debris of the jungle. Only a leopards trained eye could see the small caved in alcove above the doorway that lead inside.
Inside it smelt old; of ancient incense long since run out and of the dead earthy scent of old leaves and mud. It was a rather empty space, except for the center- where a block of glass stood, silver and tarnished like a mirror. Around it all ready La had brought several man treasures to be safe guarded.
"Awaken you old hag- I've brought something new."

The mirror began to swirl, a faded snow storm brewing until the pale form a tall woman appeared. She looked thin and haggard, crown long gone from noble brow and hair dry and tangled.
Yet even in her state, her eyes held that note of royalty- even though there was a trace of insanity amongst them as well.
"What is it wild one. I've no need for trinkets that do me no good."
Her voice was cold, like the glass the held her now.

La ignored the strange creatures words, busying herself with unraveling the bundle that she had carted through three jungles. As the rag fell away, the dim light of the room caught a glint of gold. La held up the elegant crown, it was made of fine gold and decorated with precious stones that seemed to have come from all the world.
"This was found by some humans. It made them act strange; do you know what it is?"
She tossed the precious artifact to the floor, kicking it towards the former Queen.

Jadis stared at the gold crown; even through thebarriers she could feel the power pulsing from it. She stood straighter and 'moved' closer to the mirror.
"Where did you find this."

"It came from the Eastern Jungles."
Her animal instinct had told her this thing contained a powerful magic, and she wanted to know what it was. La was no fool though, she wouldn't touch it until she was completely sure it wouldn't harm her in any way.
"I know you feel it. Speak you old woman." she folded her arms and sneered.

Jadis closed her eyes and let out a breath, the cold air fogging up the mirror for a moment. She knw very little of this world she know found herself trapped in. It was neither her home world of the Djinn, nor was it Narnia.
"Can't you tell silly creature. It holds the power of benevolence. The energy of the King that wore it ages ago flow through it. Wear it, and know the power of the ancient worlds."
