Got a piece of trivia about your character? Has anything inspired your ideas, plots, and creations? If so, we'd love to hear it! Everyone, feel free to post your trivia in this thread. Dream League General Trivia- The Dream League is actually a reboot of a short-lived RPG forum from 2006. That forum, and by extension its team of heroes, was called "The Star Wishers." While there are some similarities between the two RPGs, there are far more differences, and the differences are substantial.
- The original Dream League concept was a joint creation between Heffy and me (Joe).
- The Star Wishers was inspired by the Freedom Force computer games.
- One of the custom skins (purple, yellow, and navy) is the same color scheme of the Star Wishers. That's why the skin is called "Classic (Star Wishers, 2006)."
- It's very obvious, but the Dream League--both name and concept--is inspired by the Justice League of America.
- A suggested title for the team's name was 'The Heroes of D.I.S.N.E.Y.'
- Interest in creating the Dream League started with a dream I had. I dreamed of the Star Wishers in a movie trailer, with the narrator proudly announcing the return of the Disney heroes. After I had the dream, I told Heffy about my desire to go back to the idea and give it another shot. He answered, "Why don't you?" That's how the Dream League kicked off fully.
- Although the Dream League is a spin-off of Fantasmic Kingdom, the two RPGs take place in completely different realities.
- Heffy came up with the name Epcot City.
- Calisota is not made up; it is a real concept from Disney comics. According to many comic book authors, Calisota is from the top of California down to just above San Francisco. If this is true, then I live in Calisota!
- The Dream League's PG-13 rating was decided by Heffy and me very early in development.
- Although The Dream League and The Star Wishers have similarities, they also have many differences. The Star Wishers was generally tamer and cornier. There was an endearingly hokey narrator (the admin account), the primary location was Toontown, and the setup was different. While The Star Wishers also had meteorites as a major plot element, the formation of the heroes was because of Duck Avenger, Jiminy Cricket, and Amelia from (Treasure Planet) working together.
- The Dream League is substantially more successful than the failed Star Wishers. The latter died after just one summer!

The Masked Mallard trivia- Scrooge's Dream League identity is of course based on the crimefighting identity of the same name he created in the DuckTales episode "The Masked Mallard." However, his Dream League costume is far less garish then the Ducktales one.
- The Dream League version of Masked Mallard was inspired by old pulp heroes such as the Green Hornet and the Shadow.
- With Joseph's input, I ultimately decided to give the Masked Mallard superpowers so that he could stand apart from the League's other two duck heroes, Duck Avenger and Darkwing Duck. His luck power was inspired by his Number One Dime, which is the first coin Scrooge ever earned and is believed by some to actually bring him good luck (the comics vary as to whether or not it actually is lucky though). His secondary powers of great strength and durability stem from watching how he dives into the sea of money he keeps in his Money Bin and swims through it (seriously, how does the guy not end up bruised and battered after doing that?).
- In the Italian comics, Scrooge also has a crimefighter identity, known either as Top Hat or the Masked Topper depending on the translation. He still suffers from having to wear silly costumes however, lol.
- Like Tony Stark (Iron Man) and the Avengers, Scrooge financially backs the Dream League (he's one of the wealthiest team members, so why shouldn't he?). He was the one to purchase their headquarters and the property it's located on. However, he keeps his connection to both a secret by means of a very complicated paper trail.
- The Masked Mallard thinks of himself as being one of the leaders of the Dream League, much like his nephew does. Indeed, he is one of it's founding members.
- At 76 years old, the Masked Mallard is the third eldest member of the Dream League after Paradox and the Balloonist.

Dreamchild Trivia- Dreamchild was a character in The Star Wishers, with the same alias, costume, and powers. Of all of my characters who were previously in Star Wishers, Dreamchild is the most virtually unchanged. The biggest differences between the Star Wishers' version and the Dream League's are her origin and motivation. In The Star Wishers, Dreamchild's origin and motivation were melancholy; her family was kidnapped by the Beagle Boys, and she, after obtaining her powers, set out to find her abducted relatives.
- As I worked on the Dream League concept, I struggled to think of a good reason why Alice was in Epcot City and not with her family. former role-player Moony suggested that Alice should be in a prestigious boarding school in Epcot City, and I agreed.
- St. Blair Academy, the boarding school Alice attends, is named after the late artist, Mary Blair. Mary Blair played a crucial role in developing Alice in Wonderland's visual style.
- Dreamchild is named after a motion picture about Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) and the real Alice Hargreaves-Liddell. Coincidentally, the fifth installment of the original A Nightmare on Elm Street film series was subtitled The Dream Child, and the heroine of that movie is named Alice. This, however, was completely coincidental and not realized until after Dreamchild's creation!
- When I created Dreamchild, I did not base her off of any one Marvel or DC Comics character. She was predominately inspired by Mentor from the Freedom Force games, and Razputin from Psychonauts. However, Dreamchild has been likened to "a toned-down Jean Grey." I, too, have found myself basing Dreamchild on Phoenix as of late.
- Dreamchild's blue and white costume is the same color scheme of the classic Disney Alice's wardrobe.
- Alice's name in the Dream League universe, Alice Pleasance Liddell, is named after the 'real Alice.'
- Dreamchild's costume was designed by myself and Amanda, back in 2006. Heffy has drawn a full-bodied portrait of her, using her established design.
- Dreamchild's mask was complimented by the owner of the Vintage Disney Alice in Wonderland blog, Matt, who appeared in a supplemental feature as "an Alice authority," in the latest DVD edition of Disney's film.
- In Star Wishers, Duck Avenger (then known as PK) was considered my main character. In the Dream League, I consider Dreamchild my main character.
- Duck Avenger's nickname for Dreamchild is DC. This nickname is a double entendre; not only does it mean "Dreamchild," it's also an obvious reference to DC Comics.
- Dreamchild and Dawn Chorus both have the same initials.
- At 12 years of age, Dreamchild is the second youngest human member of the team. She used to be considered the youngest, until Amanda confirmed that Arthur, in the Dream League universe, is 11-years-old, and five months Dreamchild's junior.
- Although Dinah is occasionally referenced, I did not include her in actual role-play. The reason I did not include Alice's pet cat is that I feared Dinah would distract Dreamchild way too much. Plus, I wanted to do something different for the girl. So, the cat went! Sorry, Dinah.

Duck Avenger Trivia- Duck Avenger is an actual character. He is an Italian invention (more pointless trivia: Disney comics are wildly popular in Italy). In Italy, his name is Paperinik; Paperino is Donald Duck's Italian name, and since the character is a slight parody of Diabolik, Paperinik was created as the alter ego's name.
- Duck Avenger appeared in Star Wishers (2006), but he was wildly different. He was named PK, and he was superpowered.
- In the Dream League, the character's name was changed to his officially recognized United States name today (Duck Avenger), and he lost his superpowers.
- Duck Avenger is one of the very few members of the team who doesn't have superpowers.
- I base the Dream League's Duck Avenger on Batman, more than any other character.
- In the United Kingdom, the character's name is Superduck.
- There are different canons/storylines of Duck Avenger in Italian comics. After the original comics, there was the much lauded PKNA (Paperinik New Adventures), where the character's origin was changed, he was given a spectacular arm-gun weapon, and many new characters were introduced. I'll repeat, PKNA is just one of Duck Avenger's series of comics.
- Duck Avenger and the Masked Topper (Scrooge McDuck's alter ego in Italy) have appeared together in some issues. I happen to have one of them (translated, of course).
- Although the Dream League does not have an official leader, Duck Avenger likes to act as such.

Savage trivia- Since its inception, I had always wanted to include Dr. Doppler in Dream League. I toyed around with making him a super-genius, but the appeal of having someone like him as the Dreamers' resident Hulk-wannabe was just too fun to pass up.
- Some ideas for Savage's aliases included Mad Dog and Wild Dog before I ultimately went with Savage. Joseph jokingly thought he should be dubbed "Rabies".
- While Savage is largely based on the Incredible Hulk (more specifically the "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" incarnation), I also draw inspiration from Dr. Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde from The League Of Extraordinary Gentleman.
- Savage's appearance in his hulked-out form is based on popular conceptions of werewolves. As Doppler is based on a dog, it made sense to me. Plus, the Hulk looks nothing like Banner, so I don't think Doppler and Savage should resemble each other either.
- Concerning Captain Amelia, Jim Hawkins, and co., this is set in an alternate universe where they and Delbert either haven't or have yet to cross paths.
though I think it would be cool if someone took up some other Treasure Planet characters, hint hint
- Initially, my plan was to have Delbert be involved with Powermouse's origins and then bought in, but that fell through for one reason or another. Though all things considered, I'm glad I never went through with the idea.
- Power-wise, Savage is not going to be as stupidly powerful as the Hulk is for the sake of RPing and storytelling purposes.
- Initially, Delbert was actually from outer space like he was in the film, but after reading the (terrific) application Amelia's player posted, I decided to make him one of the numerous anthro animals running around Calisota instead. Therefore, some parts of his background were altered and he became a professor at the University of Calisota.
- Delbert's birthplace in the Dream League-verse, Seattle Washington, is a nod and a wink to the show "Frasier", in which Delbert's voice actor David Hyde Pierce portrayed the main character's brother.

Bongo Trivia- Bongo is one of a few characters I (Heffy) have played as in Dream League, but not in Fantasmic Kingdom.
- Deciding on having Bongo appear as a superhero in this spinoff was, honestly, unprecedented and mostly out of impulse. I liked the idea of pulling a rather obscure and forgotten character (but not to the extent that nobody would recognize or remember them) out of the Disney canon for use in a superhero setting, so I mentally flipped through all the different films and shorts and whatnot. Bongo came up, and for one reason or another, the image of Bongo being a "miniature tank" sort of hero in DL quickly formed. It appealed to me, so I decided to stick with it.
- In case some of you are confused about how Lulubelle, Bongo's love interest in the cartoon short, fits into all this - this is an alternate universe where the two bears either never met, or Lulubelle simply doesn't exist. If they had met in this universe, Bongo certainly wouldn't leave her to join the Dream League. Whether or not Lumpjaw, the hulking antagonist of the story, exists is still up for debate.
- Bongo's costume never really did stray far from his original appearance in Fun and Fancy Free. At one point, however, a small red cape was considered to be tacked onto his outfit.
- Bongo's unicycle, as shown in his signature banner, did appear in the original cartoon, but the idea of having it be portable and able to change shape (as seen in Blotted Truth) was mine... and, admittedly, pulled out of my ass to make it easier for him to use it whenever he needed.
- I won't spoil too much, but in a certain thread planned for the future, the Dream League will enter an alternate universe where they clash with their evil counterparts, the Nightmare League. Bongo's counterpart will be unique in that he's actually drawn from an entirely different Disney character - that's all I'll say for now, however.

The Green Bone Trivia . Lucky's Dream League alter-ego The Green Bone is based upon DC Comics' Green Lantern, his outfit is more based on the outfit worn by Green Lantern Hal Jordan. . Green Bone's power ring is also inspired by Green Lantern's and as such has the same abilities as Green Lantern's . It also has the same vunerability to yellow (the color of fear) . Even before becoming the Green Bone, Lucky was already a hero of sorts thwarting the plans of his arch-rival Cruella De Vil's attempts to steal the Radcliffe farm. . Of the 101 Dalmatians only Lucky and Two-Tone gained super powers (for now) . Green Bone's logo is infact inspired by Green Lantern's only the symbol resembles a bone instead of a lantern.

Star Pup Trivia
.Two-Tone's Dream League alter-ego Star Pup is based upon DC Comics' Star Sapphire but she more closely reflects Star Sapphire Carol Ferris . Much like Carol Ferris, when Two-Tone gained her ring it instead controlled her and caused her to rampage till Green Bone (Lucky) stopped her. . Star Pup is able to use violet constructs similar to the green ones Green Bone creates. . She can also create crystals to trap enemies, the crystals can also reveal one's true love to them. . Star Pup joined the League the same time Green Bone did.

She-Wolf Trivia- San was the first character I (Heffy) knew I wanted to make in Dream League, as soon as Joe brought the idea up to me. We began discussing ideas for the future forum shortly after I had created San in Fantasmic Kingdom.
- If She-Wolf, in regards to her powers, has any inspiration from other superheroes, it would have to be from Marvel's Wolverine. Sabertooth also shares many similarities with her, minus the healing abilities.
- One name considered for San's superheroine counterpart, suggested by Joseph, was "Ookami" (Japanese for "wolf"). I brashly refused it, initially, but later on I realized it wouldn't have been so bad... and I still wonder if I should have used that, instead. Sorry again, Joe ;_;
- It was difficult to implement San into Dream League's 21st century American setting, while still retaining her essence and character; several liberties had to be taken. There was actually a point where I was reluctant to even create her in Dream League, for fear of tampering too much with one of Hayao Miyazaki's creations. She has a very different backstory, compared to her film counterpart - however, I felt her being raised by the wolf gods, and her resulting distrust of humankind, was crucial enough to retain, and was also used as an excuse for San gaining supernatural powers.
- Regarding the wolf gods, Moro and her pups, I was also reluctant, at first, to include them in the canon as well. After cementing them as a part of She-Wolf's backstory, however, a dense forest was created in the canon near Epcot City primarily for them (and She-Wolf, before joining the Dream League) to live in - Walter Elias National Forest, named, of course, for none other than Walter (Walt) Elias Disney. Moro and the wolves are the only creatures from the film to live in the forest, however - the Boar Tribe, the Ape Tribe, the Great Forest Spirit and the Kodama will not appear.
- In the Dream League canon, San is given a fictional last name - Hisaishi. Her surname is never mentioned in either Princess Mononoke or by the creators of the film - her last name, here, is a reference to Joe Hisaishi, the renowned composer for all of Hayao Miyazaki's films from Nausicaa onward, including Princess Mononoke.
- She-Wolf's developing friendship with Sunshine was actually carried over, by Joe and I, from the friendship San and Briar Rose have in the Fantasmic Kingdom half of the forum. Of course, the two Sans are not one in the same, canonically speaking.
- San is not the only Princess Mononoke character that was considered for Dream League. Collin considered making Ashitaka at one point, with powers deriving from his demon-infused arm, and Susan also momentarily considered Lady Eboshi. Neither characters made the final cut, however - as of this post, that is.

Sunshine Trivia[/u] - Sunshine was a character in The Star Wishers (2006). She was originally planned to be named The Rose, but Belle's role-player used that name. I, Joe, decided to use my second alias, Sunshine, and have used it ever since.
- Of all of my characters who were carried over from The Star Wishers to The Dream League, Sunshine is the most virtually different. Here is a list of the major differences between the two different incarnations of Sunshine.
-In The Star Wishers, Aurora was much more similar to how she appeared in Sleeping Beauty. She was hidden for sixteen years with her 'Aunts,' hiding from Maleficent. In a departure from the movie, Maleficent did manage to track down Briar Rose and kill her, and then exited in triumph. Only then did Briar Rose's gift from the fairies surface and take effect. She was revived and bestowed magical powers, because as a baby she was blessed with the Gift of Light. However, the Gift of Light was not deliberate, and was only created by a combination of the three fairies' individual gifts. -Briar Rose, frustrated and confused by Maleficent and her cryptic aunts, ran away from her cottage and adopted the alias Sunshine, and made her way to Toontown. This was in 2006. I was young and naive back then. Today, I know damn well that Aurora would NEVER be selfish enough to run away, so I made sure to change DL's Sunshine appropriately! -Sunshine was not a brawler, and acted more as a ranged fighter. Her abilities included the following: Sun-Ray (a small bolt of magic), Aloft (a strong, magical force that launches foes upward), Waltz (similar to aloft, but launches foes horizontal instead of vertical), Forget-Me-Not (a random curse is placed upon the target), and Sunburn (a stronger Sun-Ray). -The original Sunshine was inspired by (and outright ripped-off from) Alchemiss from the Freedom Force games. -This was her original costume. How friggin' lazy. Can you tell I'm not proud of the previous Sunshine?!
- The reason I changed Sunshine so thoroughly (to the point where she's practically a completely different character) is simply to make the character more interesting, and a better teammate. I already have Paradox/Merlin, so Sunshine didn't have to use magic anymore. I honestly think Sunshine is far more interesting as an up-front fighter than a long-ranged attacker.
- The Dream League's Sunshine was created with a sense of humor in mind: what would happen if a dainty sweetheart had the strength to beat the crap out of thugs, punch through walls, and fly?
- In DL's universe, Aurora did not hide for sixteen years with the fairies. Instead, she has lived with her parents in Eyvindria. I made this change because, in my opinion, I doubt Aurora would want to leave her parents so soon after meeting them for the first time in her life.
- This logic of mine is also the reason why Sunshine is 17 going on 18, not 16; I don't think she would have left her kingdom so soon after it was almost destroyed, and would only consider departing after Maleficent has been completely imprisoned and powerless for over a year and a half. I think Sunshine would only leave her kingdom, if she was certain her home was completely safe.
- Sunshine is primarily inspired by two DC Comics heroes: Superman, for strength and the ability to fly, and Wonder Woman, for the secretive kingdom of Eyvindria, a concept inspired by Themyscira.
- Eyvindria is named after the late Eyvind Earle, who was responsible for Sleeping Beauty's gorgeous backgrounds, and was instrumental in the film's stylistic design.
- Sunshine is the only character of mine who has three different guises, the other two being Princess Aurora and Briar Rose.
- She is a very heavy sleeper. This is a nod to Sleeping Beauty.
- Sunshine is the tallest human of my Dream League characters. She is 5'9" out of costume, and gains an inch in costume.
- I consider her to be my most incorruptible hero.
- Her final costume design was finalized by Heffy.
- Her skin and lips are much warmer to the touch than a normal human's, because of her ability to absorb solar energy.
- Though her hopeless romanticism from the film has been toned down slightly in her Dream League incarnation, Sunshine still desires to have a boyfriend.
- As The Dream League was in the development stage, and characters were being planned, I briefly considered using a different alias for Aurora, because there is a character in Adult Swim's The Venture Bros. named Captain Sunshine. Captain Sunshine is a solar-powered man with the ability to fly. But he's best known for having extremely creepy relationships with boys. Because of this, I argued with myself whether or not I should keep Aurora's alias intact, but I figured, "Ah, what the hell! Sunshine remains. I created Sunshine years before Captain Sunshine debuted, anyway."

Dream League Non-Canon Crossover Trivia[/b] - There was a crossover between The Dream League and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles planned and in development, but ultimately cancelled. When The Dream League first started in back in late 2010, then-member Moony and I discussed and began working on a non-canon crossover between our Disney heroes and TMNT. There were a few plot ideas, one of which was that the Dream League visit New York and run into the Turtles. Splinter would have been featured, of course. I had plans to play Krang (yes, the old animated series, I know) with a tourist account, and other Turtle villains could have joined, too, such as Baxter Stockman. But Moony opted to retire, and I never really brought this up to anyone's attention because I'm not as Turtle-savvy as she is. I won't say this idea is gone forever, though, so I'll leave it here as a trivia. Maybe someday it'll be revived. Only time will tell.
- Collin came up with the idea of "Dreamless Dream League" while listening to Smithy's Battle music from the Super Mario RPG soundtrack. He envisioned the Dream League battling the villain. (Did I get this right? I'm going by memory!)

The Wastelander Trivia- The Wastelander was created before Oswald was given his remote, which is why he controls Paint and Thinner instead of electricity
- Wastelander was orginally going to be Governor Mickey Mouse's brother, but it was thought to make the two characters seem self aware of their non-existence. Now, their just childhood buddies.
- There was a thread planned where Mirage would disguise herself as Ortensia with magic and lure Wastelander to the dark side
- Paint and Thinner originally had the same effects on enemies as they did in Epic Mickey, but the Admins labeled it godmodding.
- When Wastelander drinks Paint, he becomes more heroic and sounds like the original Animated Seires version of Batman. When he drinks Thinner, he takes on a more mischevous peronality and sounds like Groucho Marx.
- This idea was based on the orginal concepts for Epic Mickey's Morale System
