Name: Doctor Delbert Doppler.
Alias: N/A.
Age: 38.
Is From: Treasure Planet.
Species: Canid (whether he's an alien resembling a dog or some sort of highly evolved dog I really don't know).
Height: 6’2’’.
Weight: 156.
Gender: Male.
Likes: Exploration, recognition, learning, books, his loved ones, stargazing, boats, receiving praise.
Dislikes: Children (sometimes), feeling useless, rude behavior, pirates, being placed under pressure, when he muddles up his words, being ridiculed.
Normal Attire: His style of dress is (almost) always nice and presentable – not exactly snappy, but neat and professional. Can usually be seen sporting pressed pants, fine jackets, etc.; he has no trouble affording them. Due to his farsightedness, he usually can be seen wearing glasses.
Powers: None, but he does have special skills (see “Strengths’).
Strengths: As an astrophysicist, he is quite knowledgeable in that particular area. Loyal and friendly once he establishes trust with someone, intelligent, generally goodhearted, nerdy exterior hides a surprisingly crafty and creative side.
Weaknesses: Bumbling, not very athletic, tends to ramble on and on and make Freudian slips while talking, naive, socially awkward.
Allied with: Jim and Sarah Hawkins, Captain Amelia, B.E.N.
Mortal Enemy:Jocks, man Anyone who would threaten his friends.
History: A resident of Montressor, Delbert Doppler is a close friend of the Hawkins family, and has been for quite some time. An astrophysicist, he's enjoyed some fame in the scientific community for his work. While he had long dreamed of exploring the vast reaches of outer space, the closest he ever came to this dream was through books. When a map leading to the fabled Treasure Planet managed to land in young Jim Hawkins' lap, Delbert decided to fund an expedition to find the planet. The doctor's life changed forever when he left his structured world of learning behind and set foot aboard the R.L.S. Legacy. Early on, he clashed with the ship's tough captain, Amelia Smollet, and his first week aboard the ship was kind of rough.
Things went from bad to worse when the crew mutinied and Amelia's second-in-command Mr. Arrow was killed. Delbert escaped the pirates along with Jim and Amelia, but the trio were shot down over Treasure Planet and crash-landed in a forest there. During their escape, Amelia was injured, and so Delbert tended to her wounds as best he could while Jim went in search of shelter.
In the conclusion of their venture, the "loot of a thousand worlds" may have been lost to them, but Delbert didn't care about that. The three of them had survived their adventure in one piece and returned to Montressor, and that was all that mattered to him. Despite being total opposites, Delbert and Amelia's relationship had improved greatly, and furthered developed over time -- they eventually married and had four children!
For roleplaying purposes, Delbert will have come to Fantasmic Kingdom prior to the events of the film.
