Sally was surrounded by serene, beautiful timbers (which were entirely non-existent in Halloween Town!). Birds could be heard everywhere, but eventually the sound of rustling leaves was audible. It sounded like something big was nearby.

Behind Sally was a bear, who hid behind the tree along with Sally. Ironically he, too, was scared. "Dahh," the bear whimpered, keeping on the lookout for anyone suspicious.

It was then the bear was fully aware of Sally. When her arm fell off, the bear shrieked and broke into a quick run, loudly whimpering all the while.
Not far off, a pear-shaped ranger heard the noise, and he sighed. "Oh, heavens to Betsy. What's all the ruckus?" He started a quick trot, and would soon make his way to where Sally was.

The ranger arrived at the scene and stopped. He didn't notice Sally, but he called after the bear that fled. "Humphrey! Just where do you think you're going? Don't go beyond the boundary!" He placed his hands on his hips and scoffed. "Hmpf. Bears!"

The ranger heard the soft-spoken voice, and turned to see... a very sickly, young woman. "Goodness gracious!" the ranger exclaimed. He briefly removed his spectacles, rubbed his eyes, and then returned said spectacles on his nose. Unfortunately, the woman still appeared the way she did. "You're pale as a ghost! How are you feeling, miss? Did Humphrey have anything to do with this?!"
The panicked ranger was prepared to rush for the First Aid medical kit back at the station.

The ranger smiled and heavily sighed in relief. "Woof! You gave me a fright, miss." He chuckled, but not condescendingly. "It won't be Halloween until October, and we're only near the end of July!"
Although the lady was most definitely confused about the current season, she deserved brownie points for creating an amazing costume!
The ranger extended his hands, as if to motion to the surrounding trees. "You're in Brownstone National Park! Ranger Woodlore, at your service." He half-covered his mouth with a hand, pretending to whisper. "And to the service of nature's citizens." He chuckled again.

"Well! Let's go!" Adorned with a proud smile, the ranger hopped to a turn and started a happy trot, leading Sally to a jeep. "Climb aboard and we'll take off! And be sure to buckle your seatbelt. Hm, hm!" He held out a hand, offering to assist Sally with entering the vehicle.

The ranger chuckled modestly "Oh, that's wonderful, but you don't--my goodness!" he exclaimed when he felt Sally's skin. "Your hand is frigid! We must get you to the station right away!" When Sally was secured in the jeep he rushed to the driver's seat and started the engine, promptly driving off, onward to the station.

"I'll take that as a compliment, won't I?" the ranger chuckled.
They eventually reached the station, and after parking the jeep the ranger hastily hopped off the vehicle and raced around to assist Sally. "Here we are! Careful; watch your step."
