Name: Professor Padraic Ratigan.
Age: Adult.
Gender: Male.
Species: Flamboyant evil genius… that happens to be a sewer rat.
Alignment: EVIL to the core.
Attire: A multi-piece suit of incredible taste, finished with a top hat and a cape. Ratigan is completely attired to the hilt; he just reeks of, “I’ve got cash to burn!”
Accessories: Besides mere things such as a pocket watch, Ratigan also keeps a bell…
Constant Companions: His lackeys.
Mortal Enemy: “That miserable, second-rate detective: Basil of Baker Street!”
Character Information: It has to be said. Professor Ratigan is a rat. However, that must never be said whenever Ratigan is within earshot, because he is ashamed of his species (Kurti). If you call Ratigan a rat, not only will you have a Disney villain to deal with, but you’ll have one angry Disney villain to deal with; you’re basically knocking on Beelzebub’s door.
However, Ratigan is for the most part happy. He lives like a king, and his lackeys treat him as such. He is independently wealthy, but where he got such wealth is no surprise. Professor Ratigan is solely responsible for such crimes as the Big Ben Caper and the Tower Bridge Job. He strikes fear into the hearts of all mousedom.
Voice Actor: Vincent Price.
Most Likely to Say: “Ooh, I love it when I’m nasty!”
Least Likely to Say: “Birdman, get in here!”
The world's greatest criminal mind made Londoners sob in “The Great Mouse Detective” (1986).
