Name: J. Audubon Woodlore. The J. in his name is unknown.
Alias: Ranger Woodlore.
Age: Middle-aged adult.
Debut: "Grin and Bear It" (1954), a Donald Duck cartoon.
Species: Animated human.
Height: Below average height.
Weight: Overweight.
Gender: Male.
Likes: The wonders of nature; his job; his bears; lecturing; vacations.
Dislikes: Laziness (except on vacations); defilers of nature; litterbugs.
Normal Attire: A national forest ranger's uniform, including boots and a hat; glasses.
Strengths: Manipulation (see "In the Bag"); a passionate love of woodlands; craftiness; despite his pear-shaped frame, he is very nimble.
Weaknesses: Very orderly, to the point where he is almost rude; constantly flustered and antagonized by park guests with poor manners and common sense.
Allied With: The federal government and The Fantasmic Kingdom Forest Service.
Mortal Enemy: Ranger Woodlore doesn't have a nemesis per se, but he is frequently at odds with the bumbling bear Humphrey. He has also had frustrating experiences with Donald Duck. Of course, Woodlore would consider anyone who threatens the safety of national forests to be his nemesis.
History: J. Audubon Woodlore is a fussy yet crafty and knowledgeable national forest park ranger. He is a ranger (if not the only ranger) of Brownstone National Park, a gorgeous forest known not only for its trees, but also its wildlife, especially bears. Despite his fastidious, retentive personality, Wooodlore has a good heart and not only lives for Brownstone Forest, but also cares deeply about his bears, as if they were his own children.
Voice Actor: Bill Thompson (original voice); Corey Burton (current).
