Lucky stood by as he was busy admiring some of the carved pumpkins, it was close to Halloween and the farm was busy with activity for the night planned. Lucky had already planned to go dressed as a super hero that night. "Man I can't wait to go trick or treating!" the pup said wagging his tail

Padding quietly down the dirt road, Lightning stopped, trying to ascertain where he was at the moment. Even though he could see in dark like all dogs could, he still couldn't make heads or tails of where he was exactly. Up ahead, his eyes could make out what he guessed to be a farm. There seemed to be a lot of hustle and bustle going on there.
The corgi hesitated. In the past, he might have approached to see if he could find any fans among them, but as most animals and other dogs in particular were more inclined then anything to give him the cold shoulder, especially these days, he was reluctant to do so now. Still though, maybe he could find some nice friendly humans with a love of small cute dogs willing to toss him a bone or two... literally.
He began trotting up the driveway.

Meanwhile Lucky headed outside to see who else was going to dress up on Halloween night, he didn't notice Lil Lightning yet as he had his back turned to the driveway. "Halloween will be fun, I can't wait" Lucky wagged his tail excitedly

Hearing a voice, which he recognized as belonging to another dog, Lightning moved over to the far left side of the driveway, where the grass was allowed to grow (and seemed like it was in need of a good trimming), lowering himself even further to the ground until his belly was practically touching the dirt so that he wouldn't be easily noticed. He also tried to take advantage of every bit of cover he saw. He was far too worried about being caught to pay attention to what the other dog was really saying.
When he was right up on the house, only needing to walk up to the porch to get there, he saw a small dog standing there. Warily, Lightning stared at the other canine. Did that dog have... spots? He hoped not. Spots bought back a lot of bad memories for him.
