Two of the Los Angelos Police Department’s best and brightest among their Toon Division, Miranda Wright and the former celebrity Bonkers D. Bobcat, were in their police car waiting for the stoplight to turn green so they could continue their patrol.
Hollywood may have wowed tourists during the day, but Miranda knew from experience that at night certain areas weren’t as breathtaking or wonderful as Beverly Hills or Malibu. Bonkers, of course, couldn’t sit still, especially with nothing happening at the moment, and was chattering away.

On the corner marked Hollywood and Vine a young dark skin woman danced. Her curves swayed and moved in what looked like to the naked eye completely effortless. The passers by tossed in bills and what loose change they had at the bottom of their purses and pant's pockets.
"Hey sweetheart. Why don't you come shake it over to my place." an oaf said reaching for her.
Esmeralda glared, sending a kick to his gut. "How about not." she snapped dryly. And back in Paris this was the part she had to make a break for it with her earnings before the guards got there. She swooped up and her bag leaving the goon to nurse his well deserved bruise and took off in a stride. He didn't stay down for long, now very angry he dusted himself off and began to chase after the gypsy woman.

"Miranda, look!" Bonkers suddenly shouted, pointing to a man who seemed to be pursuing a pretty young woman. “Whaddaya think is going on?”
The chase hadn't escaped her eyes either. As a police officer, she had become pretty good at discerning factual expressions and body language. The furrowed brows and brisk stride of both the man and woman screamed anger. Had they just had a confrontation of some sort? ”I don’t know, but why don’t we keep an eye on them, just in case?”
Pulling over, she parked and left the car running, continuing to watch the couple. She didn’t know the circumstances of their situation. You couldn’t hassle people for just walking, and she'd feel pretty silly for interrogating them if it turned out to be something minor. She and Bonkers was quite ready to intervene in case things turned ugly, however.

Esmeralda's bare feet pounded the concrete, a flash of purple to most she ran by. This guy didn't seem to give up. As she reached for some dust that was Clopin's own brand for a quick distraction she felt the brut's arms wrap around her middle.
"Looks like I won..." he cooed.
She scoweled throwing her elbows and legs around, evading him again. The gypsy turned to make sure he didn't follow her when a shiney silver pistol came out of the man's pocket. Her eyes trained on it, thinking of how to get the damn thing out of his hands...
(OOC: Miranda can spot the gun, and taze him xD)

When Miranda and Bonkers saw the flash of silver in the man's hand after he had reached into his pocket, the alarmed officers shouted "Gun!" at roughly the same time. They barreled out of the car and raced towards the scene.
"LAPD, drop it!" The sergeant shouted, reaching into a compartment on her belt and retrieving her tazer as she did. At the cops' approach, the man whirled around to face them, but still kept a hold of the weapon Aiming the tazer in the perp's direction, she fired.
(OOC: I hope that's not too godmoddy?)
