Prepare for the weirdest adventure yet. Why? Because I say we do a black and white cartoon adventure. The basic idea is that a certain villain drains Epcot City of all color and realism, turning everybody into rubberhose style black and white characters. It's up to the Dream Leage to stop this villain while getting used to their new rubbery style of movement.

Whoa, that is weird. But I'm in. With one of my characters, anyway.
Of course, Panchito's already a bit toonier than the rest of 'em. Maybe Justice or Mechnician. Or both.

This is a fantastic idea, in theory. The issue with this is that the world in which the Dream League inhabits is not an animated world. This is actually covered in the Dream League Encyclopedia: In this Dream League universe, there is no difference between live-action Disney characters and animated Disney characters. Duck Avenger, the Masked Mallard, and El Tirador are not animated; they are anthropomorphic fowl. Bert is not a live-action; he is human, just like Frollo (who is not animated). I apologize if those examples are confusing. The point is, the only thing you need to keep in mind is that the Dream League's universe has humans and anthropomorphic animals that live together in normalcy. However, there is not a distinction between live-action characters and animated ones. Some characters can have cartoony overtones, but they're not 'animated.' ... unless you state your character is otherwise (i.e., a cartoon-themed superhero like Roger Rabbit or something).

I understand your point, and I agree with it.
But couldn't something still be done where the characters lose their colour and gain toony rubber-hose properties?
Or would that be too subtle to make a good thread?

OK. I'm willing to improvise. What if The Dream Leauge get sucked into a alternate universe where they meeet rubberhose versions of themselves.

OK. I'm willing to improvise. What if The Dream Leauge get sucked into a alternate universe where they meeet rubberhose versions of themselves. This could be a pretty entertaining thread, for sure! The issue is... we're going to need a solid reason for this to happen. The Dream League universe, while full of anthropomorphic Disney-style animals that can have cartoonish overtones, is really a bit more of a realistic setting, more akin to any other superhero series. A plot like this is pretty outlandish for this kind of setting, and would need some rather specific reasoning behind it that would mesh well into this gritty comic-book-esque world. A simple "everyone gets sucked into a cartoon" plot won't cut it.

Sorry for taking so long to get back, guys! Been busy. Now, onto the matter at hand! My questions are, what villain could do this? Who would do this? What's their drive? Quackerjack is insane, yes, but he's still very threatening. What's threatening about the 'cartoonification' plot, other than the heroes' perception of reality gets flipped and they become annoyed? If we do go with this idea, I insist that it needs to be reworked into a plot that would compliment the Dream League's distinctive universe. I think an explanation could help us all get on the same page, Riley.

I not only don't see a motive, I also can't foresee any current DL villain as even having the ability to cause such an occurrence. What, exactly, did you have in mind, Simpson?

I was thinking one of the more inventive villains coudl invent a machine with such a capability. As for how it effects our heroes, I'm thinking they would exactly be used to moving with rubbery limbs. The Dream Leauge wouldn't need to learn how to move in a new style. The villain would have all the time in the world to do his criminal thing. Plus, some characters would be missing articles of clothing and might have to deal with the embarassment. (I'm looking at you, Duck Avenger ;D)

Quackerjack would just like to say that he is perfectly willing to be behind this. It sounds to me like something he would do, though I can't really come up with a coherent motive.

I've got it. This time I've finnaly got it. Perhaps everyone besides the Dream Leauge would be brainwashed into thinking they really are black and white cartoon characters, making them forget their former lives. Quackerjack could easily manpulate the world that way, not to mention have a little fun with seeing the Dream Leauge try and get used to moving around rubberhose style.

Even if Quackerjack had the motives to cause such an effect, he has no powers or technological know how to accomplish such a feat. Building toy weapons and being able to distort reality on a grand-scale are entirely different skills, to say the least. I fail to see how he could cause such a dimensional-shattering effect even if he sincerely wanted to do so.

I don't mind this plot at all, and in fact I think it can be very fun! The thing is, I just need to know what villain could do this, before I'm comfortable with participating in it. None of my villains have a brokenly tremendous power (no offense) of this magnitude.
Edit: Thinking about it, one character that could kind of work, I suppose, is Heffy's Cheshire Cat. The Cheshire Cat will have the powers to manipulate reality, if I recall correctly. Am I wrong, Heffy?

If the Cheshire Cat can't be worked into this plot, I had another idea in mind: perhaps the government/random mad scientist/a similar party has been working on a reality warping device (y'know, a typical case of "man meddling with powers he knows not"). Quackerjack somehow stumbles across it, and things go on from there.

Nicole's suggestion is solid enough. So long as we have a fairly believable cause for this scenario, I say you have the okay for going ahead and starting it.

I posted as Quacky. Hope this is the kind of thing you wanted (I know there was some controversy as to what he was really capable of).
I had the machine just hypnotize folks into thinking they are toonerized. If that's not what you wanted or unacceptable in any way, please just let me know, and I'll modify.
I aim to please.
