Here's something Quackerjack could do: create a living storybook, a familiar tale that can just might end differently than you expect.
The "book" traps unsuspecting people, making them into the characters, and they can only escape as they play out the story to the end -- if they triumph, that is.

Now this could be fun! Only issue is that, admittedly, the reasoning behind the premise sounds kind of flimsy - how does this work, and why do they have to finish the story in order to escape? If this could be worked out and solidified, I think this could make for a really fun and interesting thread.
EDIT: Another big problem is... can Quackerjack really create something with this kind of power? It seems a little too... big, for a villain like him. Or any of our villains, for that matter. I could see him finding some kind of artifact that has this power, but I don't think Quackerjack, himself, could make this happen.

For added fun, can we put some Dr. Seuss books in the mix? If not, I'm still in.

This kind of premise was an old idea I had years ago in an older incarnation of FK. It would focus on Alice, Arthur, Hercules, and Merlin getting trapped in one of Merlin's enchanted books, and they'd have to act out the story if they could expect to escape. This idea never got off the ground, though.
So, thanks for making this suggestion! But I do have one question. How could Quackerjack make this book? If he stole it from someone, sure, but did he ever make such a... supernatural storybook in the show? I can't remember.
Edit: I just noticed you put the word "book" in quotation marks. That makes me think there might be something more to this. Sly!

LOL! No secret agenda here. I imagined a big machine with a receptacle to place the storybook.
It wouldn't be magic, just some goofy waves that emanate from the machine and affect heroes' (and villains') minds so they see themselves as characters from the story.
Motivation is easy: Quackerjack's always inventing new toys. He thinks there might be a market for this stuff, that kids willl want to enter into a book and play out the tale.
But if you think it's beyond his abilities, that's different. I know none of my other villains can do anything to help him out there.

If I recall correctly, Quacky (partnered with Megavolt) once hypnotized DW. I used that premise in the Steamboat Dream League thread.
If allowed, I would do something similar here: a big machine that sends out multicolored waves that hypnotize, making folks think they are characters in whatever book Quacerjack places in the receptacle.
They act out the story, and if they bring it to a successful conclusion, they "win" the game and the machine shuts off, releasing their minds.
Is this okay? Needs more work? Or a big no-no?

Sorry for being late with replying! Something something busy something feeling down in the dumps, yadda yadda. lol
Okay, I get it now, and that's fine. Go for it!
L, Riley, I'm sorry if I seemed skeptical or unaccommodating. The thing is, the Dream League is a 'more realistic' and 'grittier' incarnation of Disney. Yeah, the Dream League is still very fantastical and farfetched, with superheroes and whatnot. But it's more grounded than Fantasmic Kingdom or even standard Disney, if that makes any sense. While a great idea, there's no villain in the current roster (to my knowledge) that can turn the world cartoonized with a snap of his fingers. That was the issue.
The basis of the Dream League, specifically Epcot City and its universe, were primarily created to be more comic book like and 'gritty,' so we, the staff, are very protective of it. You can do many things, but it has to have a sort of rhyme or reason to it, in some way. So, I'm sorry for questioning or expressing concern, but maintaining consistency is definitely not that easy, I assure you!
I don't want to be an antagonist, nor do I mean to, but I also have to be an admin and be protective of the forums' concept.

No need to apologize; you are well within your rights as a mod to make these criteria. And speaking as an admin of another board, I have no desire to break the rules. We agree to them when we sign on board, and that's that.
So, as long as the ideas are okay with the mods, we will proceed in both topics. If there's any problem, just let me know ASAP, and I will modify to accommodate.
These are the characters needed for the Wizard of Oz to proceed:
Dorothy Scarecrow -- Justice Tin Maid -- Sunshine Cowardly Lion -- Savage Witch -- She-Wolf Glinda the Good Witch -- Femme Fatale
I'll be accepting characters (heroes, villains, whatever) to place in these roles. We also have some minor characters you can grab:
Toto -- Bongo Munchkins Wizard of Oz -- Wastelander Flying Monkeys Witch's Guards -- El Tirador
Please note: If you take on a major character, you need to agree to post in a reasonable time. The minors we can work around; the majors are absolutely necessary to continue the thread. So, if you are not committed to post, please opt for a minor character, or opt out. Thanks.

I think Quackerjack would work as the Wizard, though I hesitate to take 3 characters, as there is such a limited number.

I have to say... I'm really tempted to cast She-Wolf as the Wicked Witch. Unless villains will get wrapped up in this as well, in which case Mim would be a shoe-in. Bongo would also make an adorable Toto, especially if Dreamchild is Dorothy!

Though I'm flattered, Alice has/is already playing Dorothy in another RP's Oz retelling, so I'm politely declining that suggestion.
I would, however, like to request Sunshine as the Tin Maid, if that's cool.
Couldn't have said it better or politer, myself! Take caution, y'all.

I think Wastelander's 1920's charm and scientific knowledge would suit The Wizard. Any objections?

Villains can get trapped in the story as easily as heroes. Do you want to use Mim as the Witch?
I'm casting this on a first-come, first-served basis. If you say you want a certain character, then you are in. Exception: I won't let any one RPer grab up more than one major character until every site member has a chance to take one.
these choices are not finalized until the thread starts up, so you can still request changes.

I have a question. If we start playing Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon" when we begin this eventual thread, will the music synchronize with the action?

Hmm, I've been tossing and turning between Quiverwing and Femme Fatale for the role of the Good Witch and while I think Gosalyn would be hilarious in that role, I think I'll save her involvement for later! I'd like to sign Femme Fatale up for the role of the Good Witch, please.

Thanks for joining.
Still missing some key players.
If we don't get the proper characters, I'll have to choose another book.

Which sounds better -- the Twin Fangs as the Flying Monkeys, or Savage as the Cowardly Loin?

Awwww I love both though. Savage as Cowardly Lion would be my vote if I had to pick just one.
Also, if you can't find a Dorothy, I could offer up Gos. The personality doesn't work but would that be okay? She'd still have to get through the story right?

Although Madam Mim would be so much more appropriate... I'll go ahead and volunteer She-Wolf as the Wicked Witch.

Well, since the Cowardly Lion is more of a major character and no takers for him, I'll go on and volunteer Del then.
The Flying Monkeys never actually disturbed me that much for some reason. XD The Coachman as a flying monkey (monkeys) tho...*shudders*

I don't think your hero's personality has to necessarily match the movie character's to make a good combination. It will be more fun if we see the Disney coming through.
For what it's worth, I think Gos would be a fun Dorothy.
In fact, all we need is Dorothy to start. We can do it using Munchkins and Monkeys as NPCs.
So, now's the time to step up for Dorothy, or it will be Gosalyn.
