Real Name: Mirage
Alias: She doesn't really have one, other than to egotistically refer to herself as 'evil incarnate'.
Age: unknown; she's been around for quite some time. It's unclear whether she is an ageless entity, or simply knows the proper spells and amulets to keep herself young.
Species: I'd say demonic anthropomorphic feline.
Sex: Female
Nationality: Also unknown, but her appearance suggests Egyptian roots.
Alignment: Evil, evil, evil!
Affiliated With: Herself and all forces of chaos. Though, she puts herself before all others.
Status: active
Physical Description (Body structure, eye color, hair color, etc.):
Mirage stands at a height of a little over five feet, has an appealing and feminine hourglass figure that is very human in appearance...but is still an odd, imposing figure just the same. Her fur is dark grey, and her eyes are cold, viciously feral, and green. Oddly enough she wears makeup over them, perhaps in nod to her possible Egyptian roots, that really make them pop.
It's not clear whether it is a wig or actual hair, but regardless, the hair Mirage has is black in color, styled in a very traditional Egyptian way, with gold attached to the tips of the front.
Appearance (Dream League): Just like the rest of her, Mirage's usual attire is fashioned very much after ancient Egyptian culture. She wears a golden headdress with a serpent coiled at the front, and scarab beetle wings patterns are embedded onto the sides of the headdress that hang down.
She wears a two piece, form-fitting red dress. The collar of which is shaped like an upside-down triangle, and flares out over her arms. She wears golden cufflinks on the upper portion of her arm, and the top of her outfit is very short; exposing quite a bit of her stomach.
The bottom part of her outfit is a long red skirt trimmed with gold.
Appearance (Outside of Costume): Mirage never really changes her usual attire, but she can transform her appearance any way she wants, so it varies based on what she's altering herself to look like.
She does have two forms she tends to assume more often than not, in order to keep up appearances when need be. One is that of a human woman wearing the same Egyptian outfit, and this is the form she often uses in connection to her little lair. The second is that of an anthro cat much like her original form, but with much more modest and modern clothing. This, she uses to conduct business at times outside of her lair, or to blend in.
Abilities and Powers: Mirage is an evil creature endowed with sinister magic. She can do quite a few things, which include (but are not limited to):
-Shapeshifting; she can alter her form at will.
- Teleportation; she comes and goes in a dramatic flash of lights, which sometimes is attributed to 'theatrics' at the little casino/club thing she owns, but in reality is magic.
- Dark magic; She often utilizes this by gathering/creating cursed items and curses and slipping them into the hands of unlucky souls, or through using bright green energy to attack her enemy. But, Mirage can also cast nightmarish illusions that seem quite real.
- Sometimes, if she finds somebody has a 'true seed of evil' within them, she can give them some powers- through amulets she has acquired, or a spell. But these powers wear off, forcing her potential minion to return to her for more. And if they want to keep them forever, really, they have to basically sell their soul to her. (She can't actually take souls or completely brainwash anybody fyi.)
Weaknesses:
Mirage is quite arrogant, for one thing. Her pride is her biggest downfall. She can't help but gloat and monologue, giving heroes and heroines the chance to figure out a way past her schemes. And as she finds challenges delicious at times, she can get involved in something she will later regret, just for the 'fun' of it all.
Another big weakness is that she relies on the fear of others to keep herself powerful. Her powers will still work if there is no fear around, but if her enemy is not afraid of her, then her magic grows weaker against them. If her enemy is afraid, her magic just keeps getting horrifyingly stronger- but courage and hope are the best bet of riding her evil out.
Mirage also tends to go for the same sort of schemes, obsessively determined to make them work so she doesn't have to admit any fault on her part and is kind of a loner, manipulative, and isn't very good about keeping allies.
Sometimes she will bite off way more than she can chew, and when she figures out she's losing, throws a temper tantrum and is stunned- giving her enemies a chance to one up her.
She underestimates her enemy in her overconfidence, which leads to her downfall a lot of times.
Annnnd she also has no real motivation to her plans, just a desire to cause chaos and see others in pain. Random acts of malevolence that could draw attention and hero wrath against her.
Accessories: In her little lair, she has a crystal ball which she uses to spy on people. And also, she has her own throne in her main 'office', to prove just how much of an egomaniac she is.
Character Information (Personality & Motivation):
A dark and ancient entity that has been around for centuries, Mirage thrives on the pain and suffering of others. Fear and misery makes her all the more powerful, and so this sadistic creature revels in her dirty work. An arrogant feline through and through, Mirage sees herself as evil incarnate, and the queen of darkness. Many villains who have ever known her disagree with her sentiments, though thus far in the history of her being, Mirage has yet to face a serious challenge from another nasty on just how evil she is.
Of course, she doesn't always stick in one place for long. Mirage has traveled the world for countless ages, spreading suffering as far as she can. While she is helpful at times to those who held spread evil and darkness, she is a nuisance to anybody who does good things for others out of the kindness of their hearts, or those who have everything they've ever wanted. For the pure-hearted and selfless, those who value justice, hope, and love, Mirage holds the highest disdain. She makes it her mission to do everything in her power to break them. Sometimes her actions are swift and violent, while other times she attempts to destroy her enemies slowly, in the most painful way possible.
There is no rhyme and reason to it, she has simply been corrupted by her own dark powers for so long, that she sees herself as a goddess with the right to play with the lives of others.
Mirage found amusement and comfort in the crime-ridden Epcot city. The suffering and evil were delicious to her, and her powers were that much more fearsome in an environment that grew so dark without her help. So, she decided to make a lair there- so that when she finished tormenting others in faraway lands and other cities, she could come back and relax, while the tainted nature of Epcot city helped rejuvenate her powers.
Her lair is a medium-sized resort/casino, decorated in an extravagant Egyptian style. Though some experience good fortune here, her lair serves more than just one purpose. Those who come and bet everything away are given second chances- though in the end, these chances lead to sinister things. There is also a little shop within the building, where Mirage will peddle various creams and items, boasting they are the greatest beauty products- or fine treasures from distant lands at a cheap price.
And in the end, they are all cursed and bring nothing but misfortune and suffering upon the person who bought them- things that all help to sustain her abilities and satisfy little malicious urges. She picks only the most desperate of customers, or those she believes she can get away with tormenting without being found out just yet.
Her reasoning for making her lair a public place as well, was to better disguise herself among the mortals, as well as to have a chance to surround herself with suffering and potential minions at all times. While she does love to torment others and push them along to breaking and losing everything, Mirage also always has her eyes peeled for those with the seeds of true evil inside them. These 'special' creatures she will relate to, hire, even offer promises of power if they will serve her- and she will actually give them some powers and send them to complete tasks for her.
Not that she actually cares about them. These are tools, ones she will keep close and reward while they are useful to her, and ones she will toss aside and strip all powers from, possibly even destroy, when she no longer needs them.
Mirage is quite displeased by stories of heroes, when the news eventually reaches her ears. When she discovers that there are those trying to make Epcot city a better place, this demonic kitty decides she will do things here and there to try and make them stumble- anything she cares to, to keep the city evil.
