It had been several days now since Rose had first left the Huntsclan Academy and it would be fair to say she was pretty exhausted. She’d kept to sleeping wherever she could find, though careful enough so that she might not freeze too much on some of the colder nights. The blonde had taken little with her on the escape, if she could call it even call her running away that. Not that she’d really had many possessions to begin with - apart from the clothing on her, her staff and a few other items, since the Huntsclan had left New York around two months ago, she’d had to pretty much give up all of the stuff she’d had in her bedroom back there.
There was one thing that Rose had kept close to her, though, and she’d made sure to keep it safe. It was simply a photograph at first glance, of herself and a certain boy, but it was, in reality, so much more than that. The girl was glad she’d left it in the hands of Jake, however, when she’d left the city, since it’d be alright with him.
How she missed him, though, after all they’d been through, there had been no time for spoken words. The photograph was all she could give him, but Rose hoped that had been enough.
After yet another night of restless sleep on the outskirts of a city she hadn’t yet found the name to, Rose had decided to take the morning finding out more about it and seeing if she could perhaps get some information as to where she was, remembering that she should probably keep her staff well-hidden for now and had managed to shrink it enough so that it would be concealed in her dark jacket. She didn’t have far to look and found out soon after she was in Epcot City, Calisota. Whilst the tall blonde didn’t have any idea of where that was, she figured she must’ve come a pretty long way, since the Academy had been pretty much out in the middle of nowhere and she’d had to use it’s teleportation equipment to actually get out of building. A city anyway, would be something that she was used to and it also might keep the Huntsclan off her back for now.
Having been on the constant move had had not-so-nice implications on Rose, however. Whilst she was tired, irritable and generally becoming easily distracted, there was also the case of her dwindling supplies - most noticeably, food and water. Passing a line of shops that also included a restaurant, the girl felt her stomach tighten miserably. It wasn’t fair - she’d tried to carefully manage how much she ate, but the supply couldn’t have lasted forever even that way.
Barely aware of what she was doing, Rose stepped into the last shop on the block, which happened to be a general store. She was so desperate, her mind figured that no-one would miss a few packets of ready-made food or a couple of bottles of drinks here and there - plus, she could always use her skills to out-run anyone who tried to stop her.
Having loaded up her pockets and the rest of her jacket enough, she started to sneak by the security barriers, hoping she could maybe by-pass them when no-one was looking. It wasn’t to be, however, as in her weakened state, she broke into a run and ended up accidentally bumping into another customer near the door, going through the barrier and setting the alarms off. Two security personal who’d been near the door spotted the girl at once and soon came after her.
It didn’t take long for Rose to be out of there, shoving the obstructive customer out of the way and with security close behind. Outside, a number of stands and tables had been placed out for the various stores and such. Weaving in and out of them was proving to be useless and the blonde was quickly angered by the determined chase the officers were giving. Not wasting a moment, she briefly stopped, sending a well-aimed kick at a number of stands, managing to have one of them slam hard into the two security officers and, unfortunately for them, one or two other unsuspecting victims. Taking a moment’s breathe, Rose’s face softened at realising what she had done, before quickly hardening again.
“I’m sorry.” Was all she could say, before taking off again, hastily dodging the on-coming people, who mainly had stopped to look at the fallen security and the thieving girl. For someone who hadn‘t slept properly in days, Rose still maintained a fair speed, but was held back by that she didn't know the city, so had no idea where to, but just held in mind she'd go anywhere to escape the crowds right now.
