This is fairly old news, but I do have something to say about it. Bob Hoskins, English actor best known to Disney fans as Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, has retired from acting due to a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's does run in my family. My paternal grandmother had it, just to name one relative with the same diagnosis. It sucks, and my heart really goes out to Mr. Hoskins. In the past, Hoskins was initially hesitant to return to the long planned, nearly mythical Roger Rabbit 2 as Eddie, but much more recently he said he'd do it. But now that he has to retire, I think it's fair to either make a prequel that doesn't feature Eddie, or simply drop the project entirely. My argument is that while everyone remembers Roger, Jessica and the zanier antics of the classic movie, Eddie Valiant's gruff yet sympathetic character really is the movie's foundation. Eddie, I will always argue, is the heart of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Take it easy, Mr. Hoskins. Source: www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/08/actor-bob-hoskins-retires
