Fantasmic Kingdom has a new non-canon adventure! It's titled Kingdom of the Dead, and right off the bat I have to warn you that it does contain subject matter that might be offensive (especially if you sympathize with the undead). While Fantasmic Kingdom is an otherwise PG rated site, this particular non-canon thread is a special case. Zombie hack-n-slashin' is inevitable, so there are precautions we all have to take to avoid this from getting a hard R rating. If you dislike or are uncomfortable with the notion of Rory the Zombie Slayer, no sweat! We understand. Just ignore the thread and pretend it doesn't exist.
There we go. Can't say we didn't warn you! ^^;
Here are the guidelines if ya wanna join.
I'm the maintenance/runner of the thread, but I will not dictate what everyone should do. I have ideas and I will bring them in when the time is appropriate, but this is really about character interaction. Improv!
There will be a crossover event with Fantasmic Dreams's sister RP forum, Multiverse Unlimited. That website also has a non-canon zombie apocalypse thread currently running, Distorted Outbreak Unlimited. DOU and KotD will have a brief crossover, where the groups of survivors from both threads meet each other, have an exchange, and then part ways. The event will likely be amusing, but there shouldn't be any lasting consequences because of it. It's currently unknown how The Passing will go down, but I'll update this thread when that information is available.

Here are the guidelines if ya wanna join.
- This thread takes place in an alternate FK canon. There are no Disney lands/worlds, but rather the action takes place in a nondescript portion of America. Rural communities, big cities, suburbia, shopping malls--think generic yet easy zombie movie/game locales. Like FK, anthropomorphic animals will still live with humans in normalcy.
- To be a survivor, your character must be either a human or a humanoid anthropomorphic animal (such as Pete). Animals that are semi-anthropomorphic (a Dalmatian; Bambi) are not allowed. They have to be humanoid.
- There's no such thing as magic in this canon, but Disney characters usually associated with magic may still join and be revised. For example, Merlin could join as a college professor, the Fairy Godmother could be an old grandmother looking for her relatives, etc. Otherwise, any Disney character is fair game--hero, villain, adult or child.
- Villain characters don't have to be evil. For example, Pete is boorish, rude and kind of a jerk, but he's still part of the survivors.
- Your characters(s) may kill zombies, but don't be too detailed with your slayings. Don't be too descriptive; be vague. For example, it'll be better to say, "Miranda Wright shot the zombie in the head" rather than, "Miranda shot the zombie squarely between the eyes. There was a small mist that burst from the wound. Thick, dark blood trickled down--" etc.
- You may take control of zombies in your posts. You may take control of a zombie and say they're attacking a different character, but they cannot kill the survivor without permission.
- You have the right to choose which character(s) of yours lives or dies. None of your characters have to die, but it's suggested to have at least one character of yours eventually killed to keep the story flowing. But, again, that's not a requirement. You are totally welcome to have a character survive from start to finish of the thread!
- The primary genre is drama, with a good amount of humor, horror, and action. But always remember that the situation is very dire. Characters will perish without warning as the role-players see fit.
- Characters still can't cuss, unless it's in their nature. Just like classic FK!
- You may not kill another character, unless you have permission from the role-player in question. Again, like classic FK!
- There will be flashbacks scattered along the story. Single-character flashbacks are no problem, because they can be written in the same post as the character's actions in the present. If your flashback includes multiple role-players, though, then you should already have the flashback written out and ready to go by the time you make a post; for example, you and the other role-player
involved with the flashback can RP via e-mail or chat, and then copy and paste the results within your posts. We won't ask everyone to please wait while a flashback plays out because that would grind the thread to a halt, and if anyone else posts without being aware of the flashback, that would be very confusing and make things muddy. If anyone has suggestions about this topic please share! - Not interested in playing a survivor? Your Disney character can be a zombie!
- Zombies are Romero-esque, or 'classic.' Slow, trudging, and unintelligent. The fastest they can go are stumble-like lunges. And, of course, the more zombies there are, the worse the situation is for the survivors.
- People who die will return as zombies, whether or not they've been scratched/bitten. The 'disease' that's causing the zombie apocalypse is within all survivors--they're all carriers. The only way to prevent a dead body from being reanimated is if you destroy the brain. The main group of survivors so far know about this.
- There will be antagonists, not just zombies.
- You may use Tourist Accounts for this thread, to play Disney characters you want to play here but nowhere else.
