2010's Epic Mickey was described as a modest success, having sold 1.3 million units in America between its November launch and the end of the year. That number is nothing to sneeze at, especially considering it was a Wii exclusive. However, 2012's Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, which is multi-platform, has only sold 270,000 copies in the same amount of time. Ouch. While Epic Mickey had many fans and supporters (it holds a 72.57% score on GameRankings), many agreed that the camera was bad, the gameplay was flawed, and there were other problems scattered about. While I have played the first game, I've never played the sequel, so I'm speaking strictly as I read it online: it seems the sequel is inferior to the predecessor, and has received not only lower average scores, but has a batch of new problems. A lot of news outlets are suggesting this means a third Epic Mickey won't happen, but I think we can't say that just yet. Nor can we say Junction Point will leave Disney... it can't. Disney acquired it. As for Power of Illusion, I was writing a review of it, but I've been busy. I'll get around to finishing it.
