Pokemon Secrets
What if the Pokemon...could catch you?
~Plot~
It is the year 2053.
Since we last glanced at the Pokemon world, things have changed. Technology has grown and expanded over the four regions. The world has moved beyond the ideas of "lol let's change everything into water" and now focus more on newer discoveries. Gene splicing. Cloning. Playing around with DNA. Back in 2047, the whole planet was in an uproar as the first successful Pokemorph was created. Humanity discovered that it was able to cross the species of people and wild animals, no matter how outlandish the latter might be. All it took was a scrap of hair from the feral creature, and a human embryo.
Since then, hundreds of Pokemorphs have been created. A year or so later the prospect of that seemed to simmer down. Pokemorphs became a part of human society, just another abnormality in this topsy-turvy world. But it was a few short years later then a young scientist by the name of Esau Graiy became curious. They had already figured out how to transfer humans into Pokemon. But what about vice versa?
The idea started out innocently enough. It was all in the name of "science", and kept rather hush-hush as he collected a band of scientists. Including himself, they worked long hours. Hundreds of Pokemon were captured, and hundreds died in the scientists' attempts. It was finally in 2053 that their efforts came closer. They successfully altered a wild Rattata into a human, and it was able to survive for a full five minutes. Exuberant, the scientists announced that their next experiment ought to work. Esau, who had slowly segregated himself and become the chief in command of the operation, was pleased at the reports, and abruptly demanded that his first Pokemon be used as their next experiment. The scientists were horrified, but resumed work on the leader's Tyranitar.
And it was finally a month after the Rattata that the first "Experimented Pokemon" emerged. The Tyranitar had been altered into a human, but still maintained the same color combination of its Pokemon form. Unlike Pokemorphs, the Experimented Pokemon had no Pokemon characteristics. Their fur color became the color of their hair, and the color of their eyes was maintained. Their skin was the shade of their previous skin underneath their fur/scales/hair, and often their claws and fangs stayed instead of fingers and teeth. It was a first short minutes after the creation of the first Experimented Pokemon that the scientists discovered that the creatures still could use their attacks.
Esau took the first Experimented Pokemon and harbored her, while demanding more to be created. Giddy with their success, tens and hundreds of Experimented Pokemon flew from the laboratory. But as their success rate went up, the leader became more demanding, more harsh. Typically called "Ex-P"s for short, Esau Graiy plucked each of them from the scientists' hands. He seemed to issue a "mob mentality" on each of the newly formed creatures. They became savage, hostile, threatening to attack the scientists if they dared to leave.
The leader and his army of Ex-Ps grew. The Ex-Ps were sent out by him to go and salvage more Pokemon, whether they be wild or tamed. What had at first been a simple experiment had been corrupted by greed and power into a while team. Esau Graiy now dubbed himself the Leader of "Team Kage", and the Experimented Pokemon were his Commanders and Grunts.
Things escalated again when a Deoxys was captured, and altered into a human. Again power-hungry, the Leader began to search out legendary Pokemon to add to his little team. One by one, legendaries were captured and forced to join Team Kage. But even with his little mutated humans running amok, the Leader was still able to keep everything very quiet. He had retreated to his little building shielded by a great forest, and only sent his Ex-Ps out to capture Pokemon from the forest or fields, or nearby towns. Of course, it was difficult to keep things quiet for long. When trainer's Pokemon were snagged by humans with green hair and fangs and claws with attacks, suspicion was bound to arise. Trainers spreading the news or simply angered by the stealing of their Pokemon began to bind together.
And so, on the opposite of the forest of the growing Team Kage, "Team Light" was born. It was a collective group of trainers, all working together to free their stolen Pokemon from the binds of Team Kage, and work to turn all of the Ex-Ps back into their rightful forms. As Team Kage discovered Team Light, many Ex-Ps seemed to agree with them and fled from their prison at the Team Kage headquarters and joined Team Light.
This has been going on for a year, and both sides seem to be at a standstill. Team Light cannot conquer Team Kage, and Team Kage cannot disband Team Light. Team Light still attempts to recruit trainers and wild Pokemon, while Team Kage is still rapidly capturing wild Pokemon - legendaries and commons alike - and altering them into humans. Which side shall you take in all of this? Will the battle between what's right and what's wrong ever end?
