Okay. So for school I have to do two book reviews every nine weeks. Why let only my class see my work? Yall get to to now! And this is an early release to. Now they won't be full of laughter, they should be interesting. Please give me feedback. I want to improve. So here's my first one of the year... And very suitable for the month... oh and anything in bold I added just for you guys. Let's get on with this thing shall we?
On April 14, 1912, the huge "unsinkable" ship the Titanic was steaming across the Atlantic towards New York. This was the Titanic's maiden voyage, and her captain was encouraged to break the world record for speed while making the voyage. As most people know, after striking an iceberg, the unsinkable ship went down in only two hours. Out of the 2,000 or so passengers, maybe 700 were saved. That’s not a lot. Since then, there have been many books and movies about the Titanic one of them being the highest grossing movies of all time **coughsouchsaddnesscoughcough*. But this is not one of them. It takes place in 1898, fourteen years before the Titanic ever set sail.
The story begins on a ship called the Titan. Sadly, there are no rapping dogs... ANYWHOShe is the largest ship afloat on her third voyage that fateful April. Twenty-four lifeboats sit on the dock as that is as few lifeboats as the law allowed. Not that you would need one on a sinkable ship. Right?
On the ship Myra, a mother, comes across an old lover of hers named John Rowland. He too sees her and after five years he still can’t get over her. Turns out she has a child.
The next day the man is still drunk form the night before when a little girl comes up to him. “I wunned away. I wunned away from momma,” she says to him as she clings to his legs. Telling her she should go back, he picks her up and dangles her over the water. She screams when her mother snatches the child out of his clutches. Turns out the child is Myra, Myra’s daughter.
Wait a minute? There are two Myras? How do we know which one is which? THIS IS JUST TOO DANG CONFUSING!!!!
That very night the ship meets with disaster. The Titan hits an iceberg and starts to sink. The idea that the ship can’t sink and the fact that there were only twenty-four lifeboats, keeps many onboard. Including little Myra who had, sadly, been separated from her mother. At the moment the ship is running out of time. The lifeboats are all gone. What does the man do? He grabs the child, a blanket and some drinks and jumps onto an iceberg. Luckily they make it onto the big hunk of ice.
Sooooooo... Will they make it? What will the face on the iceberg? Who will save them? When will they be seen? And what about Myra (the mother)? Find out by reading...
Two names? What you couldn't pick one? What the crack is up with that?
For those interested, here’s a good site to learn more…

Lot’s of facts and stats and stuff like that. HEY! That rhymed! For instance both sips had three propellers.
Also this book is hard to find.
But you can find it on the internet.
So Overall, I gave this book a **** out of *****. Why? Well other than the two name thing and the mother and daughter having the same name, the language is pretty darn tough. Other than that, it's a great book and a quick read.
