Alice crept through a looking-glass and was shocked to find herself somewhere completely unexpected. Just when she thought she had the knack of traveling to and back from Wonderland with ease, she ended up finding herself in a very, very foreign place.
She stepped from a mirror, just from Wonderland, and found herself to be in a bustling, thriving city. Perhaps like London, but at the same time radically different. The majority of people seemed rude; they never seemed to stop and acknowledge anything other than reaching their destination. The people shuffled and shoved by each other so much that Alice was hesitant to walk away from the mirror she crept out of, which was located in a vanity shop. (Fortunately, no one noticed this bizarre trick of the girl's.)
She twiddled her fingers nervously and gazed at her surroundings. "Goodness," she said softly. "This is very curious, indeed." She was thankful she left Dinah home that day; the poor cat probably would have been frightened.

A young blonde teenager walked across one of the many bustling streets of New York City. She was wondering what to do...she hadn't anything to attend to at the moment, and she was thinking of how she could get her stuff (what little of it she had) from her Huntsclan quarters, before jetting off to the place Urchin had showed to her.
Rose stepped onto the sidewalk and continued her journey through New York. The skies were blue, but there was a presence of grey clouds about, which meant rain. She stopped for a moment to fix a strand of hair which was bothering her...when the blonde noticed a girl. Usually, Rose wouldn't have noticed such a person, but this girl really stood out. She was dressed in...Victorian clothes, and her expression told the teenager that she was nervous...maybe she was lost?
Frowning, Rose opened the door to the vanity shop, and walked over to the blonde. "Um...are you okay?" She asked, looking concerned.

Alice made eye contact with the older blonde. At first she wondered if the teenager was looking at her, but her suspicions were confirmed when said teenager entered the shop and approached her.
Alice's eyebrows furrowed and her lips parted. "I beg your pardon, but... what does 'okay' mean?" She wasn't too familiar with the colloquial English word, but after thinking about it she assumed it meant 'well.' "Oh, I'm sorry. I don't suppose I am; I just came in through that looking-glass." She pointed to the mirror before shaking off her surprise and forced a smile. She curtsied to the teenager. "It is nice to meet you. My name is Alice." Alice was the only girl in the vanity shop, let alone the New York street, to wear a large skirt.

The teenager became concerned when the younger blonde told her she wasn't alright, and that she came through a 'looking-glass.' Rose had heard and seen some strange things in her life, but had never heard of a 'looking-glass.' From the way the English child described it, the blonde realised that it could've been some sort of portal.
Rose smiled warmly to girl as she curtsied, and introduced herself as 'Alice.' "I'm Rose," she stated, and held out her hand for the girl to shake it. The older blonde then stepped over to the mirror, and examined it, her powder blue eyes moving over every inch. "Hmm..." she muttered. She then turned back to the girl, "Where did you come from, before you landed here?"
Rose then felt slightly guilty; she hoped she wasn't prying into the younger blonde's personal life too much...but she could tell the girl was uncomfortable about here, and the teenager didn't like seeing her so upset.

Alice kept her smile as she shook the obviously older girl's hand. The Victorian child examined the mirror alongside the blond stranger. "I come from England." The stranger did not have an English accent, just like some of Alice's friends all over Fantasmic Kingdom.
"I mean," Alice interrupted herself, "I was born and live in England, but I just came from Wonderland, through this looking-glass." She hoped that her explanation made some sense. She look at herself in the mirror, and casually straightened the ribbon in her hair until the bow was symmetrical.

England? Rose was confused, but had seen stranger things. How could Alice have landed here though, if she came from somewhere like that? A puzzled look wandered it's way onto the older blonde's face as the child explained how she had come from 'Wonderland.'
"Wonderland?" Rose repeated, unable to think of a explaination for this. "Is that like a...place or a town?" She didn't want to sound too naive, but couldn't help studying the girl with a questioning expression.

Alice's focus again fell on the older teenager. "Oh," Alice said with light embarrassment. She twiddled her fingers as she explained. "Well, Wonderland is... a world. In the past, I believed it to be my own world, without sense or logic. It is so confusing there, and there is so much nonsense. But... Wonderland has existed for a long time, as Uncle Remus told me."
The girl thought of a simpler way to put it, and she smiled when she did. "Wonderland is world where nothing is what it seems." She placed her hands on her chest to emphasize herself. "And I am the current guardian of Wonderland." She seemed proud of that fact.

Alice's explaination didn't make sense; no matter what terms she put it in. Rose was still very uncertain about this...but was determined to help the younger blonde get back to where she came from, no matter what. The teenager looked away from the English girl for a moment, contemplating on how to approach this situation.
Looking to Alice, she asked, "Have you got a looking-glass at your home?"

"Of course I do," she replied, almost in surprise. "And it is the same looking-glass I intended to go to, but now I'm here." She looked back to the mirror. "I suppose I could try again..."
That's when the English girl felt that it would've been rude to simply take off without conversing with the teenage girl some more. She returned her focus to the older female; although Rose was dressed very bizarrely from Alice's point of view, she was physically pretty. "Do you live here?" Alice asked.

Rose noticed how the younger blonde was slightly suprised that the teenager didn't know that she owned a "looking-glass." For a moment, she wondered if everyone from wherever Alice came from had a looking-glass.
Shrugging it off, she looked to the girl. "Yeah I...live here." She replied. If you could call residing in a dark, menacing building actually "living." Breaking out of her thoughts, Rose asked, "Do you know where you are at the moment? From my guess, you've never been here before?"

"Not at all," admitted. She appeared lightly embarrassed for not knowing where she was, and indeed she was lightly embarrassed. She locked her fingers together and she twiddled her thumbs, yet she continued to politely look into the older girl's eyes as talked.
"Could you please tell me where I am, Ms. Rose?" Alice added formalities in Rose's name to both respect her and to be polite.

[You may murder me now for taking so long to reply, Joe.]
Rose smiled to Alice, who seemed slightly caught off guard that she didn't know her surroundings. The older blonde felt for her, she knew how horrible it felt to not know where you are, or what to do...it was an experienced that the teenager wished never to have again.
"You're in New York, Alice," she replied kindly, then added, "In America."
She then took a glance back at the mirror, staring into it. It seemed like a ordinary mirror, and Rose couldn't understand how portal could be created from it. She put a hand on her hip, and raised an eyebrow at it.

As Rose inspected the mirror, Alice was stunned in disbelief. Had Rose noticed the girl's face it would have been clear that the little girl was completely shocked after learning of their location.
"What?" Alice asked in surprised, after a considerable pause. It was as if the little girl had to piece it all together, though she would later wonder why she was so surprised, considering her visits to Wonderland.
"You mean I am in the United States?" Alice was initially dumbfounded, but she eventually smiled and even stifled a giggle. "Goodness, I am far away from home!" She pressed her right thumb and index finger against her bottom lip, smiling up to Rose and the mirror.

Rose turned back to Alice as she replied. She noticed how the girl seemed to be shocked, as if she'd never imagined she could be in such a place...well, she didn't expect to be here, anyway. The blonde teenager gave a concerned look, and asked worriedly, "Are you okay? You seemed startled...guess you've never been to the US before, huh?"
She nodded as the child questioned if she was in the United States, before turning back to the mirror, studying it hard. "Seems to be some kind of portal..." Rose muttered to herself, grasping both sides of the object. She looked around the back of it, and came to stand facing Alice.
"This mirror, or looking-glass as you call it, how did it end you up here? Or does it take you to different places everytime you use it?"

By now Alice had completely controlled her surprised and she approached the mirror, as well. She looked up to the taller and older girl, continuing to smile politely. "Oh, yes. Through a looking-glass is how I enter Wonderland. And I can get out in just the same way. Let me show you!"
Without another word, Alice casually turned fully to the mirror and fearlessly placed her right foot froward, towards the glass. Instead of knocking the mirror over or damaging it, the foot slipped through the glass as if she went through a water's surface. Not stopping, Alice continued to enter through the mirror until she was completely through it.
However, Alice could not have been seen on the other side; the mirror still reflected all that beheld it. To Rose's perspective, as well as anyone's perspective should they have noticed, Alice had just broken the laws of physics.

[You've got that photo of Alice! ] Rose tried to comprehend everything that the younger blonde was telling her, without looking like she was baffled. She couldn't help but feel worried for Alice as she said she was going to go through the mirror. The blonde teenager gawked as she stepped through the mirror as if it was water. She couldn't even begin to think of how Alice could've done that. When the girl was fully through, Rose rushed to the glass, trying to see her through it. "Alice? Alice! Are you alright?!" She asked loudly, her voice wavering with fear. She reached out a hand, seeing if she could get through as well.

As Rose reached for the glass, Alice's hand (which appeared disembodied!) reached from the other side and bumped into Rose's. By instinct Alice grasped her new friend's hand. The English girl's hand was followed by her head, and the front of her large skirt, as she leaned forward to speak to Rose.
"Oh!" She smiled and giggled as she removed her hand from Rose's grasp. "I beg your pardon, Ms. Rose, but I'm quite all right. This is perfectly natural, you see." After a pause Alice's smile faded as she stepped out of the mirror fully. "Though I suppose it's really unnatural, but... it's natural to me."
Once back in Rose's plane of existence fully, Alice placed her hands together and looked up to the American, to whom she gave her full attention.

Rose jumped somewhat as Alice's hand suddenly bumped in hers from the mirror. She clasped the blonde's hand as the girl took hold of it, and watched as she re-appeared back through the glass.
The teenager released her, and smiled slightly as Alice giggled. Obviously this was something the girl was used to doing frequently. To Rose it seemed bizarre. She laughed as the blonde told her it was natural, but seemed not to be.
"It isn't really natural. I've never seen anything like it, and I've..."
She trailed off as she realised she was revealing too much about herself, and the smile faded. After a moment, Rose composed herself and looked to Alice. "So, have you always been able to do that?"

Alice shook her head and flapped her right hand. "No. Not until one summer day. Then I met Uncle Remus, and he explained everything. He used to be just like me, you know." After a pause Alice placed a hand over her mouth and giggled. "But I'm a girl, of course!"

Alice told the teenager of how she had found the ability to go to Wonderland, and an 'Uncle Remus' had been like her. "What do you mean?" Rose asked, still confused. "Could he go to Wonderland like you?"

"When he was a little boy," Alice replied with certainty. "I don't know if he could still go to Wonderland, but he knows so much about it."
At that point, Alice thought that she was overstaying her welcome with Rose. The English girl curtsied again and smiled. "Well, it's been very nice meeting you. I won't waste your time any longer." She started for the mirror.

The blonde was still listening, and so was surprised when Alice said she'd better go, and bid her goodbye.
"Um, are you sure? I mean...you'll be okay, right?" Rose smiled slightly at the girl. She had grown to like Alice a lot, and something in the younger blonde reminded her of herself, her younger self, more naive and curious.
But, Alice's life was probably so much different to hers either way. She hadn't had to endure the things that herself had, and hoped she never would do so.
Realizing she had been standing silently for the past few moments, Rose looked to the girl, and smiled more brightly this time. "See you, Alice. Be careful."

Alice began to like the teenage girl a lot, as well. The girl didn't know why, but she thought that Rose was highly unique and different from a lot of other youths. Then again, Alice herself was rather unusual, so it could have just been her feelings playing tricks on her.
Alice attempted to curtsy a final time, but this time an accident happened; she lost her footing and started to fall to the side. She broke her fall by clutching on the side of the mirror, but just as she regained herself the mirror fell down and shattered, quite loudly and messily. Alice was already red with shock after the accident. The two girls had succeeded in having a more or less private conversation, but this crash alerted everyone in the store.
Unwanted stares, on top of a screaming store manager, intimidated Alice. The manager went off on a tirade about how thick-headed and stupid Alice was. Simultaneously ashamed and saddened, Alice couldn't take it; she turned and ran past Rose, out the store. The manager continued to shout after she had left.
The angry man pointed at Rose "You! You a friend of that foolish girl?!"

Rose continued her smile, but was dis-heartened that her friend was leaving now. She then guessed she should go back to the Huntslair, grab her things, and then leave to the place Urchin had showed her-
She was interrupted in her thoughts as Alice lost her balance and started to fall. The blonde gasped; but it was too late. Although the younger girl managed to find her footing, the mirror she had held onto for support fell to the ground with a loud crash. Rose immediately moved closer to Alice, ignoring the broken mirror on the floor.
"Alice, are you alright?" She worriedly started to check the girl over, she knew the kinds of injures she should look for from being in the Huntsclan all her life. The now furious store manager interrupted them, starting to shout at and frighten poor Alice. Rose felt her anger rising, and was shocked when the English blonde ran past her, out of the store.
"Hey, wai-" The blonde started, as the store manager suddenly pointed at herself, now yelling at Rose. Now also furious, the Huntsclan apprentice stormed up to the man; barely aware of what she was doing. Without warning, she grabbed the man with both hands, lifting him off his feet. [Yes, she is very strong. x3] Luckily, some of the crowd had rushed off outside, trying to spot Alice.
"Yes, I am," she darkly replied, glaring daggers at the man. "And I suggest you don't ever speak like that to someone like her again. It was an accident." She increase her grip on the man, baring her teeth, and frighteningly calm and soft continued, "Got it? Now, I suggest if you want to get home safely tonight, you leave her alone!"
With that, she threw the man roughly over her shoulder. He found himself landing hard face first on the ground, a look of terror and disbelief on his face. When he finally came round, after a few minutes, the older teenager was gone. Shaking it off, he muttered shakily, "Lousy good-for-nothing kids! How do their parents sleep at night with them intimidating people like that?!"
Meanwhile, Rose had ran off, trying to find Alice. What she had just done to that manager had struck her hard inside. She couldn't believe how foolish she'd been to lash out at him like that. She was furious with him for belittling little Alice like that, but that was no excuse. Suppose someone found out her secret identity now? The blonde sigh in frustration...would things ever go right?
Still continuing her search, the girl shouted out, "Alice! Where are you?" Constantly.

"I'm over here," said Alice's voice, but it sounded different. It was quite weak, broken, and quivering, all at the same time. It was easy to guess that the girl was crying. The voice came from an alleyway, hidden from the bustling outside environment. Alice, quite shaken and caved in, stood with her back pressed against a wall, hiding within a shadow. She resumed covering her face after she politely answered the call when it was close enough.

The older blonde turned around at the sound of Alice's soft voice, to an alleyway. She moved forward into the alley, only to find the girl stood with her hands her face, obviously very upset at what had just gone on.
Rose's face became saddened immediantly at this sight. She moved quickly over to Alice, and put her arms gently on one of the girl's arms and another on her shoulder, trying to comfort her the best she knew how to.
"Oh, Alice...don't cry. It was only an accident after all. And I think thay manager saw sense after I talked with him."

"It was an accident," Alice agreed. She allowed Rose to make physical contact, but she still covered her face with her hands, rendering her voice muffled. "B-but I still feel awful!" She lowered her hands and opened her eyes. Her ducts did not cease with the tears; the look she gave to Rose was one of immense shame.
She sniffed and added, "I'm sorry." Two more tear drops slid down her cheeks after she apologized again.

The blonde's face remained one of sadness as Alice sobbed to her. She felt for the girl, and shook her head when she apologised. "It's alright," Rose replied, staring at her, "Everybody makes accidents sometimes."
She shifted a little; before adding, "Don't worry about it, Alice."

Alice nodded and then began to try and calm herself. "I will try not to," she responded through a still uneven voice. She retrieved a baby blue handkerchief from an apron pocket and dabbed her wet eyes with it. She sniffed again as she dried her eyes.

Rose smiled comfortingly and squeezed Alice's shoulder gently. She then took a glance around the area, before returning her gaze to the girl.
"Okay?" She gently asked Alice, "We better find a way to get you home."
