Weaknesses: Elisa takes the expression "Fool me once" perhaps a bit too far. After Xanatos was released from jail, she became almost obsessed with finding something else to send him back. A lot of this was due to her wanting to protect Goliath and his clan, but it also led to a lot of tension between her and her brother, who ended up working for Xanatos.

Mortal Enemy: Demona, a rouge gargoyle who resents Elisa for her relationship with Goliath, who was her former mate.
History: Born in 1968 to Peter and Diane Maza, Elisa had always wanted to follow in her father's footsteps of being a cop and protecting the honest citizens. After graduating college with a degree in psychology, Elisa joined the precinct under the close watch of Maria Chavez, who worked for her father when he was the chief of police.
On the night of October 4th, 1994, Elisa investigated a disturbance atop Xanatos' building, and ended up coming face to face with Goliath and Bronx. She was so frightened at first, and backed away, falling off the building. Goliath soared after her, saving her life.
To thank him, Elisa met Goliath the next night to show him around the city. Besides helping a couple with a group of thugs, the night was quiet and peaceful, until they were attacked by a small group of commandos. Goliath was drugged with a sedative, and in his weakened state, was unable to get to a safe place when the sun had turned him to stone. Elisa led the commandos away, saving his life.
This had led to a strong bond between the pair, which would eventually turn to a deep love. She is very close with all the gargoyles, and they all consider her to be part of the clan.
