<Happy 100th, Cruella!>
Scar was Cruella’s oldest Disnemon, having captured him when he was a cub. He had evolved into his final stage, a powerful lion that looked down upon the Padrat as if it were easy prey that could quickly turn into an easy meal. His ears lay back, listening for Cruella’s command and obeyed immediately when she ordered him to perform the maneuver tail whip, swishing it back and forth, hoping to trick the Padrat into think he was a friend not foe and would therefore be unconcerned about him.

The Padrat did not expect a sudden battle, and the tail whip. Padrat was damaged, and lost a considerable amount of health and stamina after the attack. He was was instigated. His yellow eyes glared at the much larger Scar, and he hissed. The Padrat raised his right hand and, with a *ClLICK!*, revealed his long, sharp claws. With these claws, he performed the slash move, a simple move where the attacker slashes at the opponent once.

The lion’s green eyes narrowed as the Disnemon turned to fight. The command to evade the attack never came, for the Padrat was too agile and an unpleasant snarl was heard as the opponent’s attack flew across his muzzle. In the end it had done little damage to a Disnemon as highly evolved as he was. Still, he staggered back a step.

Cruella’s eyes narrowed while watching the Padrat fearlessly strike back against her prized Disnemon. “Fiesty, little creature aren’t you,” she murmured. The agility and confidence of the wild creature intrigued her and she decided he should definitely be added to her prized collection. Besides… he might prove useful if she ever came across any Holmesies.
“Scar! Pounce!” she instructed, initiating an attack that would send her Disnemon leaping upon the other to pin it to the ground. The move was powerful, used to hold Disnemon down until their energy had been so drained in the struggle that they fainted. It was not foolproof however and it only proved to be super effective against certain types of Disnemon. Many water Disnemon had been able to wiggle free of the attack before but Cruella was willing to take her chances with this fiery rodent.

The fashion-obsessed trainer was fortunate. The Pounce attack was all that needed to subdue the Padrat, a Disnémon considerably weaker than the Scar. But a fainted Disnémon is no good to catch.
So the trainer was also fortunate that the Padrat was greatly weakened, but not knocked out. If there was ever the perfect opportunity to use a Disnéball to catch a feral Disnémon, now was the time. The Padrat could only heave after the Pounce.

Alice was so concentrated on the battle that, when she felt something collide on her leg, she jerked and gasped. "Goodness!" She looked down to what bumped into her. Was that a Disnémon? "Please, just a moment," she said to the adorable robot and tapped him lightly on his head... or, at least, what could be considered his head. "I am busy at the moment, but we could talk... after--" She looked back to the fight, just in time to catch sight of what happened next between the Holmesie and Donnie.

"Watch out now, t'ain't a wise move ta go in afta a mon y'all can't see. Ya gotta get rid a dat dere haze first."
But Professor Briar was still grinning, because see, it takes a lot more then just a whole mess of power or having a rare Disnemon. Yes sir, being the best trainer means being willing to make a couple of mistake and being able to learn right from them too.

The Holmsie had not remained where he had been of course, for that would be foolish. Still, it couldn't help a small squeak of a snicker at the Donnie missed. The Haze was beginning to clear, and the Holmsie sat with a bit of a smirk on it's maw.
Still, it was a rather low level and the only other attack it had up it's sleeve was Copycat. Which it now used to mimic Donnie's Tackle

Alice winced when the attack missed, and she flashed a brief, apologetic frown to her mentor. "I'm sorry, Professor. I'll remember that from now on." She returned her focus to the fight, and watched as the Holmesie Copycatted Donnie's Tackle. She blinked in surprise. "Goodness."
After watching Donnie lose some hit points after being Tackled, Alice hardened her face and pointed her right index finger directly to the opponent. "Donnie!" she exclaimed. "Tackle once again!"

Donnie quacked loudly when he was struck by the Copycatted Tackle. With an angry face, he looked back to his mistress, and nodded. Looking back to the Holmesie, the water Disnémon Tackled said Holmesie, hopefully successfully.

The sucessful tackle on the side of the Holmsie had left the disnemon a bit shaken. Donnie was a great deal larger then the mouse and so he did not see the next attack. Taking the tackle at full strength the Holmsie gave a small squeak and staggered back; weakened.

"Now, Miss Alice. Now yer chance ta catch that critter!" Because sure as snow in winter the only time to really be able to catch any Disnemon is when the poor things weak in the knees and staggering around.
"Get it a'fore it dun passes out on ya. Can't catch one a 'em when they ain't got any sense in their heads."

Alice smiled widely. Looking to Professor Briar for confirmation, she looked at him just in time to be told to use a Disnéball on the Disnémon. She nodded, and, excited, took out the one Disnéball she had attached to her leggings. She activated the Disnéball and threw it directly at the Holmesie. She had a great arm and a good aim (from years of playing softball), so throwing the Disnéball at the Holmesie was easy.
The Disnéball struck Holmesie, and opened to suck in the stunned Disnémon. The ball landed on the ground, and twitched thrice. Alice (and Donnie) watched in anticipating. She bit her bottom lip and rubbed her hands together as she watched anxiously on the ball. After the third twitch, the Disnéball stopped, and made a loud click. This indicated that the Holmesie was successfully caught.
The Holemesie was successfully caught!!
Alice jumped and cheered in ecstasy. "Oh, wonderful!" She ran to her Donnie, picked him up, and swung him around for a hug. "We caught him, Donnie! Thank you!" She lowered her starter Disnémon and dropped him, and then picked up the Disnéball. She hurried to the robot and showed it to him. "I caught him!" Then she approached Professor Briar and held the ball up to him. "Oh, Professor Briar, thank you! I feel so much better now; I have more confidence." She smiled, a sweet, dainty smile.

A delighted and loud cackle rolled up the woman’s throat, echoing around her, no doubt alerting many of the other Disnemons that there was a human around- if they had not already been aware because of the battle of course.
“Wonderful, dahling! And now, Padrat, you’re mine!” Cruella revealed an empty Disneball in the palm of her gloved hand. She tossed it on the ground, rolling a few inches closer toward the weakened Disnemon, stopping just at the tip of a claw. The device opened to draw the exhausted Disnemon inside, closing with a faint click.
Another ripple of laughter filled the air, this one triumphant. “Scar! Return!” she instructed, holding up his Disneball, watching with a victorious gleam in her eye as he was sucked back in. She pocketed the ball before moving through the grass, which scratched against her calves, to where the device containing Padrat lay. Cruella pressed the tip of her shoe over it, drawing the item toward her while she lit a cigarette. After that business had been concluded, a cloud of green smoke swirling upward, she stooped down to pick up the Disneball, staring at it in a contemplative manner.
“You need a name, dahling. Something powerful that will suit you.” Cruella inhaled deeply as she pondered the matter, exhaling only when she came to her conclusion, the smoke pouring over the ball.
“Ratigan.”

To the Padrat, it was a weird sensation to be reduced in size, dimension, maybe even matter, into the Disnéball. When he was struck by the Disnéball, he growled. Not surprisingly, the feral Disnémon was noisy when he was pulled into the Disnéball. "AAAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!" shouted the Padrat when it was trapped in the ball. By extension, the Padrat was now owned by its trainer. And now the Padrat would be addressed as Ratigan.

(OOC: Sorry, Moony, but I really need to get this thread moving. There's a lot of people waiting on this. You can post in this thread again when you're ready, but for now, the show must go on! And after you pass your RP test, Alex, you can rejoin here as Wall-E.)
Alice, having Professor Briar's blessing, along with confidence and ignited spirit, happily ran on the route that would lead her to her first major destination: Stefan Valley. Already, Alice was excited to embark on her journey, and make her first major stop in Stefan Valley to challenge an all-around celebrity. Alice's first Disnémon opponent was none other than her favorite musician: Aurora.
Alice ran, and Donnie kept close behind her. As they hurried on the dirt road, Alice occasionally glanced down at Donnie. But even when she looked ahead to make sure she was running smoothly, she talked to her starter Disnémon.
"You see, Donnie, we have to go to Stefan Valley to fight our first challenge of the Disnémon League. She's also a singer, and she happens to be my favorite singer, too! I'm so excited to meet her, and to challenge her. But I just hope she's friendly, because I would be disappointed if my favorite music artist were rude."
Alice frowned at such a terrible thought, but she heard a voice that distracted her. She skidded on the dirt to a sudden yet controlled stop, and she felt Donnie fail to stop in time and collide into the back of her legs.
"Oh!" She gave Donnie a bemused look, then looked around her to hear where the voice came from.

"Hey, Alice! Wait up! ALICE!"
*The voice belonged to that of a young boy named Arthur, a friend of Alice, and a fellow student of Professsor Briar. Dressed in a red sweater, red newsboy cap, tan pants, sneakers, and a yellow scarf, the boy carried a leather satchel in his arms, hurrying after the english girl. Catching up, he slows down, and eventually stops in front of her. He hands the satchel out to her gently, blushing a bit.*
Er, s-sorry to catch you so late, Alice...but I had to give you this, you left it behind at the Disnémon Lab. It contains your Disnédex, remember? Professor Briar'd be awful upset if you didn't take it with you...b-but I grabbed it before he noticed it still sitting there!
*Arthur smiled softly.*

Alice stopped instantly and spun to see who was calling after her. The suddenness of her turn made her long, yellow hair swoop in the air. Her lips were parted and her thin, black eyebrows were raised. But it only took a second for the girl to recognize a face she knew all too well: it was Arthur, her best friend, also from Englo, and a fellow student. Alice often acted like an older, wiser sister to him, even though he was actually several months her senior.
But, secretly, Alice harbored deeper feelings for him, deeper than a mere friend.
Alice smiled, as embarrassed as she was, when Arthur handed over her brown leather satchel. She took the satchel and replied, "Oh, thank you, Arthur! I'm awfully sorry. I suppose I was too excited to remember it." She looked down at Donnie, who looked up to Arthur and pointed at his scarf. He babbled like a baby, and Alice chuckled.
She returned her blue eyes to Arthur and smiled warmly. "Thank you, Arthur. I'm so sorry we won't be spending time together too much this summer, but..." She blushed and looked elsewhere, though she continued to smile. "I'll return after I'm finished with the Disnémon League." She twisted her right foot on the dirt path on which the two stood, and twisted, making an indent.
