It is the 4th of July in New Orleans. To Americans, July 4 is also known as Independence Day. To celebrate the nation's independence, Donald decided to do something new. His nephews would stay in their college's area and hang out with friends for this year, leaving Donald alone. This gave him ample opportunity to visit New Orleans, a town he wanted to visit for a big event. And what a big event this was!
Donald was attracted to a relatively new establishment, but it already looked amazing: Tiana's Place. He was lucky enough to get a small table for himself in the jazzy, lively restaurant. There was a live jazz band scheduled to perform very soon, dancing patrons, and the food there smelled delicious. Donald, seated, was already enjoying his 4th of July on that day. He would have to return home the following day, but this would've been a great closure for the holiday weekend.
"Oh, boy!" he exclaimed when he was handed a menu by a worker. He opened the menu and happily skimmed through it. He had already taken off his sailor hat and placed it on the table.

*Tiana had just came out of the kitchen, she'd been supervising the chefs, making sure they do everything right. Glancing at the clock, she pushes a stray strand of hair back into place, and s goes from table to table to check on everyone, carrying a large pitcher of sweet iced tea, a warm smile on her face.*
How're you this afternoon? Happy Independence Day, y'all! Can I refill your iced tea for ya?
*She continues down the aisle, then checks the clock again. She grins, and calls out to the house band.*
Alright boys, five minutes to showtime!

"Ready when you are, Tiana!" a male voice could faintly be heard over the loud murmur of the crowd, calling out to the waitress from beyond the large stage centered in the restaurant. Soon after, a little hustle and bustle could be heard from behind the stage, as the band members began to prepare to play.

Donald had already ordered his entrée and beverage, just before the restaurant's owner and namesake announced the upcoming band. Donald happily looked to the stage and prepared to watch what was sure to be a great show.
"This is gonna be something!" Donald excitedly said, just before showtime.

*Tiana handed off her pitcher of iced tea to another waitress, and heads up the stairs to the stage, up to the microphone.*
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present the Firefly Five Plus Lou!

Right on cue, with Tiana's introduction, the extravagant curtains covering the stage parted to reveal the stage itself - which was just as extravagant (if not more so), surrounded by elaborate designs and colored a brilliant gold, complimenting the brightly colored restaurant.
The spotlight shifted its gaze onto the stage, showing off the band members; five middle-aged men on tuba, drums, clarinet, trombone and piano, respectively. On the large bass drum were the words "FIREFLY FIVE plus LOU", and the "Lou" mentioned here stood in the middle of the stage, right in the spotlight and holding a trumpet. However, this fellow was rather unlike the others - he was an eight-foot-tall alligator standing on his hind legs, and towering over his fellow band members.
Rather than gasp in fright and shock, however, a number of audience members, probably regular customers, cheered and applauded the band as they appeared on stage. The six band members - the alligator, Louis, included - all exchanged glances, grinning and nodding at each other to signify that they were ready to play. And in an instant, a vivacious, jazzy rendition of "Yankee Doodle" began to fill the whole restaurant, echoing all around. The band played together harmoniously, and when it was time for the trumpet solo, Louis worked his wonders and played the comparatively tiny instrument almost effortlessly. It was clearly evident that the alligator enjoyed nothing more than playing the trumpet, as he bounced and swayed along to the lively rhythm.

Despite having a poor singing voice, Donald Duck was musically inclined from an instrumental standpoint. He loved jazz, and he quickly decided that this alligator was his favorite trumpeter he ever had the pleasure to witness. He tapped his right webbed foot to the rhythm of their lively rendition of "Yankee Doodle." He clapped and hollered when the song reached its climax.
"HOORAY!" he screeched to the Firefly Five Plus Lou. "Stupendous!" He smiled with his bill open as he applauded.
