Note: Much of the backstory and other info herein sprang from my own imagination.
Name: Romeo Beaumont DeGaulle. I have a hard time believing that any self-respecting French dog owner would actually dub their dog “Frenchie”.
Alias: Frenchie.
Age: Adult.
Is From:The Pound Underground Hour! Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers.
Species: Domestic dog/Standard poodle.
Height: Large.
Weight: 60 lbs.
Gender: Male.
Likes: The ladies, meat (especially sausages), freedom, France, when an escape is executed without a hitch, freeing other dogs from the pound, friendship, getting new recruits for the Pound Underground.
Dislikes: Pounds ("No dog deserves to be in the pound!"), big mean guard dogs who fail to appreciate the Pound Underground's noble mission, dogcatchers, failure.
Normal Attire: Frenchie can usually be seen garbed in a red doggie sweater and a blue beret.
Powers: N/A.
Strengths: Charming, intelligent, excellent digger and tunneler, decent leadership skills, is good at inspiring others, streetwise.
Weaknesses: Melodramatic, can be easily distracted by attractive lady animals, rather oblivious, has something of an ego, and is more of a lover then a fighter. He would prefer to talk his way out of trouble or outwit an enemy before resorting to fisticuffs.
Allied with: K. Sera mostly, but presumably the Rescue Rangers as well. Alice, Louis, and Tiana would also fall under this heading.
Mortal Enemy: Dogcatchers! And quite likely the evil sorts around Fantasmic Kingdom.
History: The Pound Underground might be best known for their one time appearance in the "To The Rescue” multiparter, in which they assisted the soon-to-be Rescue Rangers in freeing a police dog friend of their’s from the pound. But there is more to their respective stories.
While Frenchie doesn't necessarily hate humans, he does dislike uncaring owners and pounds. He was actually born in Paris to a spirited but caring and well-breed mother, one of five puppies. When he was old enough to be separated from his mother, he was purchased by a French family looking for a dog. His new owners dubbed him Romeo, a fitting an ironic name considering how much he loves wooing the femmes when he was older.
While things were good in the beginning, when the family grew too busy, Romeo found himself being ignored. Being a dog of action, he quickly grew bored with the lack of stimulation and decided to find things around the house to do. One of these activities was reading the books the mother owned, especially those about the French Resistance, which he found riveting and thrilling. He decided to take on the surname of "DeGaulle", after Charles DeGaulle, the famous French statesman who lead the French Free Forces against occupying Nazis in World War II. Desiring to see the world and maybe find owners who weren’t so negligent, the now-teenage dog set out on his own. His plans came to an end when he was caught by animal control and bough to a shelter. Oh, he had heard all about pounds from street dogs he had met prior to coming there, and knew that they were no place for any dog.
He was tossed into a cage with a fellow canine, this one an under-key puli. Here was a chance for Romeo to put all his knowledge into use! Rallying his comrade, who he had learned was named Killer Sera, the two combined their talents. Working non-stop, they chipped through the floor, and then dug right out of the facility. They were free! Here, Romeo had found his calling – freeing dogs everywhere from the tyranny of pounds! Romeo decided to call their grand organization the Pound Underground, or PU for short (maybe he should work on the name more), and together, the two travel around, seeking new comrades and organizing break-outs from pounds around the world. The name Frenchie was bestowed on him by some Yankee dogs when he had come to New York City as something of a joke. Rather than be insulted however, the passionate poodle decided to keep the nickname.
Frenchie’s dream is to organize a global movement of Pound Underground members.

Name: K. Sera. According to Frenchie, the K stands for "Killer".
Alias: None.
Age: Adult.
Is From: Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers.
Species: Domestic dog/Puli. This is a puli: 3.bp.blogspot.com/_ilOJhC__6Fk/SZHqlffueTI/AAAAAAAACAE/hlUX6zqsFVM/s400/puli.jpg
Height: Small.
Weight: 25 lbs.
Gender: Male.
Likes: T-bone steaks, Frenchie, his corded coat, helping free other dogs from the pound, getting a good night's rest, being out on the road.
Dislikes: When Frenchie has him facing the wrong direction (Frenchie: "Honest mistake, mon ami!" ), pounds, when he and Frenchie accidentally tunnel the wrong way (like back into the pound -- shh), disappointing Frenchie, dogcatchers.
Normal Attire: None.
Powers: N/A.
Strengths: Small size allows him to access areas that bigger animals would have trouble with, sensible, talented "tunnel rat", loyal, adaptable, streetwise.
Weaknesses: Isn't much of a talker, long fur can be cumbersome at times, sense of direction is slightly off.
Allied with: Frenchie and whoever else he considers to be good.
Mortal Enemy: Dogcatchers, Disney villains.
History: Unlike his best friend and partner, since he isn't much of a talker, his background is rather mysterious. What is known is that K. Sera hails from a farm in the French countryside. He was picked by dogcatchers and taken to the local pound, where he encountered Frenchie and teamed up with him to escape. Since then, K. Sera has stuck by the poodle's side through thick and thin.
Extra: Since these are two very obscure characters, here's the dynamic duo in action: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7Em5bBZn9U
