At the entryway a eerie coldness gathers as fog gathered at the entrance of the mansion, almost like a cloud of smoke it filtered into the mansion and then vanished. The doors slowly shut on their own. "It ever feels good to return." The omninous voice of the Ghost Host echoed as it vanished into the foyer.
Mickey had received a call about a haunted mansion at his ghost hunting business and decided to go and check it out. Gracey Manor was the place and it did not look inviting at all. Nevertheless it was Mickey's job to rid the place of those that had never crossed over so that the real estate agent who called could work on patching up the house and selling it. Mickey would have turned back at the gate immediately were it not for the dollar figure bouncing in the back of brain that edged him on. After all, he'd promised to show Minnie the time of her life on their next date and that was a week away!
The gates mysteriously opened as if on their own.
Mickey proceeded forward cautiously and looked around. He stepped on a fallen branch that cracked loudly beneath his foot, causing him to jump back and fright. Upon realising that it was only the snap of a twig he chuckled nervously and said, "N-now, there's no need to be afraid, fellahs. We don't even know if there's anything here." The word 'yet' almost came out of his mouth, but he was glad that it did not. Maybe all spooks finally went to rest in piece of their own accord.
The front lawn of the mansion seemed to be like a graveyard, several tombstones could be seen in the grass.
Mickey trembled as he looked around, ghost gear at the ready, in case something was to spring from one of the tombs.
Donald hurriedly caught up with Mickey, carrying his own ghost hunting gear (including a tape recorder) "Don't tell me you're scared, Mickey," said Donald. He eyed the tombstones nervously before he looked back and called, "Goofy!"
Goofy was busy looking around the graveyard and examining the mansion's architecture. He was wearing a deerstalker hat and was holding an axe.
"Gawrsh, this place gives me the willies." Goofy said as he clenched his weapon tighter to his chest.
"Ah," Donald rebuked. "It's nothin'." He, of course, was bluffing.
Mickey held his rifle in one hand and had a magnifying glass in the other. He held the glass close to the ground, examining it for ghost footprints. So far there was nothing to be found and he led his group right up to the front doors of the spooky mansion.
The doors to the mansion were ajar, inside the dimly lit chandelier over the entryway was visible.
Donald pointed to the mansion's entrance and exclaimed, "Hey, look! I see a light!"
Several more tombstones littered the front path leading towards the frontdoor one even bearing the image of a woman engraved into the granite, these tombstones etched with lettering on them which read:
In memory of our patriarch - dear departed Grandpa Marc.
Requiescat Francis Xavier. No time off for good behavior. RIP.
Rest in peace, brother Huet. We all know you didn't do it.
R.I.P., good friend Gordon. Now you've crossed the river Jordan.
Master Gracey laid to rest. No mourning, please, at his request. Farewell.
At peaceful rest lies brother Claude. Planted here beneath this sod.
Here lies good old Fred. A great big rock fell on his head.
Here rests Wathel R. Bender. He rode to glory on a fender.
Dear departed brother Dave, He chased a bear into a cave.
Here lies a man named Martin. The lights went out on this old Spartan.
Dear Sweet Leota. Beloved by All. In Regions Beyond Now. But Having a Ball.
Also of notice near the door rests an old horsedrawn hearse, an old casket rests inside of it almost undisturbed, a harness on the ground close to the hearse.
Goofy heard a wolf howl and became even more scared. He ran up and bumped Donald, causing Donald to bump into Mickey, causing all three of them to stumble into the mansion abruptly. "Woah!" Goofy exclaimed as he fell flat on his face on the hardwood floor.
"WAK!" Donald screeched as he tumbled head-first inside, courtesy to Goofy. Lying on the floor, glared back to his clumsy friend. "What's the big idea?!"
"Aww, sorry Donald. I got a little spooked." Goofy said as he saw the door close behind him by itself. He then hugged Donald in a terrified manner.
Donald groaned and shoved Goofy away. "Aw, get off me, ya scaredy cat!"
"B-b-but, what if there's a g-g-g-ghost?!" Goofy pulled his hat over his face.
"THEN WHY'D YOU COME WITH US?!"
the faint sound of organ music can be heard in the entryway. the dimly lit chandelier flickered as it lights the room, a large mirror can be seen on the opposite wall.
Mickey could not help but notice some of the epitaphs as he passed by and his large eyes grew even larger at: “Here lies good old Fred. A great big rock fell on his head”; that must have hurt. The mouse quirked a brow at the tomb that read, “Rest in peace, brother Huet. We all know you didn't do it.” Mickey tugged at the top of his glove while adjusting his rifle, wondering what it was Huet didn’t do. It was then that the wolf call was heard and Goofy collided into the group. A surprised yelp came from Mickey as the three tumbled into the mansion. He immediately leapt to his feet and glanced around to see if anything supernatural had been disturbed by their abrupt entrance. Mickey raised a hand to try and stop Goofy and Donald’s conversation from carrying on any further.
“Quiet, you two. Do you hear that? It’s music…”
Mickey seemed more intrigued than scared by the haunting sounds.
the organ music continued, the front door suddenly slams shut. the room illuminated by the dimly lit chandelier, the far wall slides open revealing a circular room, inside are several portraits including a woman holding a rose, a regaly dressed man, a lady holding a parasol, and another man. an eerie cold feeling envelopes the room
Donald's eyes widened as he heard the music, and he jerked with surprise when the room's lighting altered. The corner of his eye noticed the sliding wall, and he turned to it. "Hey, look!"
Mickey jumped when the door slammed and he began to run to it to see if it would open, when he skidded to a stop upon hearing another sound. Mickey whirled around to see the wall slide open and his eyes grew large when he saw the circular room behind it.
“Wh-what d’ya say fellas? Should we check it out, or… or do you think it might be a trap?”
The circular room remained open as if to invite the curious visiters inside. The organ music continued to play softly.
Donald swallowed. "Uh... I think it's a trap. Heh, heh." He hated to admit it, but he truly felt that way. Clutching his equipment, his worried eyes scanned the room for any other way out. Of course there wasn't...
"M-m-maybe we'd better not risk it then," Mickey said tentatively. But as he stared into the room and listened to the organ music being played, Mickey almost felt enchanted. As eerie as the music was, it seemed to draw him forward and he forced himself to stop and turn around.
"What do you say Goofy?"
Goofy's eyes widened as he gulped out of fear. He then reached into his back pocket and pulled out his flashlight to shine into the circular room for a brighter view. His flashlight started to dim.
"Awww, shucks. I don't have any extra batteries. And I'm no scaredy cat! ...Maybe we could vote who goes in first?" he asked pathetically.
the doors to the gallery seem to close behind the three brave explorers, but once inside the small room suddenly begins to stretch out, the four portraits also extending revealing more to them, the woman holding the parasol seems to be standing on a tight rope which is extended over the open jaws of an alligator, the man sitting appears to be on the shoulders of another man and yet he is also on the shoulders of another man who's waist high in quicksand. The regally dressed man is revealed to be missing his pants and standing on top of a powder keg with a lit candle dangerously close to the fuse, the last portrait of the old woman holding a rose is revealed to be sitting ontop of a tombstone of a man named George, the man's bust is also revealed with a hatchet buried deep into the bust's head.

Donald watched the portraits, gradually growing fearful, to the point where he began to claw at the door-less chamber, searching for a potentially-hidden door. "LEMME OUT! I DON'T WANNA BE AXED!"

Mickey was just as frightened as the other two, but managed to hold his magnifying glass out before him, searching the area for some sort of clue that might lead them out of there. He looked up at a frantic Donald and cried out,
"Donald! We can't panic! We just... just gotta think."
He glanced around at the portraits and shuddered. He and his pals were ghost hunters, but that title didn't make the job any less spooky.

"Of course, there's always my way!" A voice boomed over the three ghosthunters just as it did a clap of thunder is heard as the lights go out in the room, high above the three trapped explorers hung a decayed corpse on a noose, the skeletal body outfitted in torn remains of his suit. the squeaking of bats could be heard before the room plunges into darkness, a scream is heard as if something or rather some one was falling, a bone crunching thud is heard just as the lights return to the room but the floor was empty, void of any bones or remains, the cieling which had been the sight of a rotting corpse being hung had vanished replaced by the ceiling as it was before, was it a crude apparition? a panel slides open on the other side leading out to a hallway, several paintings can be seen along with windows opposite of each painting

"This would be a fun ride if this wasn't so, s-s-spooky. S-should we stay put?" Goofy whimpered.
He stared down the hallway with the paintings, receiving a cold chill behind his neck. Goosebumps began to appear on his arms and he started to sweat a little. He took out a handkerchief to wipe his forehead. He then closed his eyes and said to himself, "Just imagine you're somewhere else." He then pretended to be back at his house, sleeping in his bed. It worked quite well. In fact, Goofy was almost in a trance. He completely thought he was somewhere else.

Mickey’s heart leapt into his throat when after the sudden eerie silence there was an even more sudden assault of horrors. Even though his senses acknowledged that he had been plunged into total darkness, the mouse could still see the corpse hanging before him, as if the image had been burned in place. And then it was over. Mickey could still hear the sound of what he now hoped was his own heart hammering, but at least now there was another door for them to go through.
“A ride?” Mickey repeated in a shaky voice. “Nobody would go on it! It’s like this whole place is alive.” He tapped Donald on the shoulder. “Come on. Our way out has got to be through that door and we better get going before this room changes again.”
He made way for their only exit when he noticed Goofy standing completely still, looking like he was asleep. Rushing back he took hold of his friend’s arm and shook him.
“Come on, Goofy, snap out of it! We’ll be all right if we just stick together. Yah- yah coming, Donald?"

Lightning flashed in each window lighting up the hallway, each time a loud crash of thunder follows.

Although Donald was a white duck, after that scare he was completely whit; color had vanished from his bill, eyes and feet. He stood entirely motionless, a steadfast look of fear on his face.

<Hope you don't mind Mickey doing this! If you need me to change my post so you can do something else with your character's, just send me a PM to let me know.>
When Donald went into shock, Mickey pulled Goofy over towards the duck, grabbed Donald by the arm and dragged them both out of the room and down the hall.

In the hallway six paintings hang across from the windows, as lightning lights up the windows the portraits seem to change
the first a lady laying on her side alters into a tigerlady
the second a knight on horseback changes into a skeleton on a skeletal horse
the third, a young man (Master Gracey) whom alters into a putrid corpse, the same one that was in the stretching gallery
the fourth a sailing ship in the ocean alters into a ghost ship in a violent storm
the fifth shows a young lady, the word April is seen on the painting which alters into an old hag the word December replaces April on the painting
the last shows a beautiful woman that alters into a petrified Medusa
