There was a new face in the local tavern, and a new ego that Sleepy Hollow’s He-Man, Brom Bones would have to contend with. The mighty, proud, and unbelievably handsome Gaston had gone on a hunting expedition, choosing to make a final stop in the quaint village before retuning home. This was the French man’s first day in the town and it was still unclear as to how long he’d stay. His bumbling pal, Lefou was off making arrangements for accommodations while he enjoyed a pint of beer after a long morning travelling. Already, he had encountered Brom and he could tell that the man didn’t like him. This was fine with Gaston because it meant that Mr Bones was insecure in his masculinity, whereas he on the other hand was more than convinced that he was all that and all man. The Herculean hunter was surrounded by fascinated members of the community who were eager to tell him tales about their town. The one he found most interesting so far (for no one had yet mentioned the Headless Horseman) was the that the most beautiful maiden one could ever set eyes on lived in Sleepy Hollow: Katrina Van Tassel. Gaston assured himself that he would meet this lovely lady before he left and would judge this for himself. After all, he had met a number of beauties in his time and none had yet matched Belle.

The blonde beauty, known to everyone as Katrina Van Tassel, stepped into the tavern. At once, men turned to stare at her and bathe in the non-stop glow she seemed to give off. The bodacious blonde gave a smug smile to the men, and ever so slow blew a kiss to them.
Sauntering away, she wondered where her husband, Brom Bones, could be. She hadn't seen him since this morning, and was curious to his whereabouts. She guessed he had gone hunting or something. Airily dismissing the thought, Katrina set herself down at a table. Instantly, men waltzed over, asking if she wanted anything to drink. She laughed them off, shaking her head.

When the heads in the tavern began to swivel, deprived-of-attention Gaston had to turn to see what all the fuss was about. The tall man rose from his chair and quirked a brow when all he could see was a bunch of men’s backsides surrounding what he was assumed could only be a person. If it was that boneheaded Brom looking for a challenge, Gaston would easily sweep the floor with his face. One of the women close to him whispered the name ‘Katrina’ in a jealous whisper to her friend and it was then that he understood. Puffing up his chest and putting on a winning smile, Gaston walked towards the crowd, some of the group now leaving with disappointed looks on their faces as they were rejected by the beauty. And there was no doubt that she was indeed beautiful.
Gaston wasn’t the type to have his breath taken away or anything feminine like that, but he knew what he liked. Though her face might be a bit too plump for his liking, Katrina was one of those rare visions indeed. As more callers were turned away, there was at last an opening in the throng where he could see her properly. His eyes trailed from the top of the pretty blonde’s head, over her perfectly shaped lips, along her swanlike neck, and allowed his imagination to discover the rest.
‘Do they do that every time you come in here?’ Gaston asked the woman as the dejected men left her table.
