"UGH! I can't stand it! I just can't stand it!"
A reheaded mermaid wriggled free of an octopus who was busy brushing her hair.
"The most beautiful creature I've ever seen and he has to be a human. It's not games anymore, Armand!" she said to the octopus. "I want Aladdin to myself! That stupid princess he's with isn't even that pretty."
Saleen examined her own reflection in her mirror and adjusted her hair a bit, seriously displeasing Armand.
Mirage appeared on the beach, looking out at the water.
Water...
She shuddered. Of all the elements... *water*...
Snatching up a potion bottle, Saleen smiled at Armand. "What I have won't fail me! Aladdin will fall willing for me this time! You'll see!" She giggled and shot up toward the surface.
With a simple spell, Saleen turned her tail into a pair of long and shapely human legs, which were covered by the skirt of the dress she was now wearing.
Mirage wondered how best to get the attention of a siren.
And where was Mim? Maybe including the witch had been a mistake. -_-
Saleen pulled off a slipper and dumped sand from it looking hightly annoyed.
"Stupid, sticky... clings to my feet! UGH!" She threw the slipper against the sand and stepped hard on it. She encased her feet in bubbles and then placed the slipper (which fit perfectly) back on.
At her voice Mirage's ears perked forward. She turned, eyes brightening. That was her-- she'd seen her in her crystal.
"Saleen, I presume?"
There was a hint of a pur as she pronounced the 'r'.
Saleen started at the sound and she raised a brow when she spotted the cat woman.
"That depends on who's asking," she said, flicking her hair over her shoulder.
"Then allow me to introduce myself."
She rested her hand on her chest.
"I am Mirage, Sorceress of Morbia."
Saleen rolled her eyes. "How cute. I dabble in that area myself," she said examining the magical fingers on one hand. She looked back up at Mirage with a smirk. "Yeah, I'm Saleen."
"Then I have a proposition that may interest you. You are familiar with one... Aladdin of Agrabah?" Her ears pinned backwards slightly as she said his name.
Saleen's eyes gleamed hungrily at the name.
"I'm not as familiar as I'd like to be..."
She smiled. "Of course. What would you say if I told you I could remove the princess from the picture and leave you with your Aladdin and a considerable amount of power and a bonus of, say, the entire ocean, from Atlantis to Atlantica, under your rule?"
The greedy look was replaced with a skeptical one. Saleen folded her arms across her chest, her nose turned upward towards the sky.
"I'd say you've got be dreaming. Aladdin's not that easily taken you know. Not with that wretched Genie on his side," she added with a fierce mutter.
"Surely you underestimate yourself, Saleen."
Mirage crossed her arms, standing with a relaxed posture.
A fat, pink eagle landed in the sand and changed quickly to Madame Mim. She put her hands up, balled into fists.
"ooooH! I *hate* him!"
She kicked the sand and sighed.
"The Wand is there, Mirage. But... the boy escaped me."
Saleen's eyebrows raised at the appearance of the plump woman (who had thus far been the ugliest human she'd ever seen). She assumed the boy referred to Aladdin and this thought drew her back to Mirage.
"Underestimate? Ha! If I had Aladdin and his little pals to myself it'd be a piece of cake." She snapped her fingers for emphasis. "I've nearly had them all too many times, but he has a Genie with impecable timing."
"If we can get the four Tarot Talismans the Genie will be a mere afterthought."
She looked to Mim, sighing.
"Is the Wand still in Agrabah? *must* I do everything?" -_-
"The Talismans?" Saleen perked right up. "So you've heard of those?" With a sideways glance at Mim, her comments still directed toward the feline, she added, "You know most humans believe those to be silly little things, merely a card trick. But you're not exactly human, now are you?"
With a flip of her hand, a chair popped up behind her and she sat down.
"So the wand is in Agrabah is it?" Another glance to Mim. "And you couldn't retrieve it?" It was difficult to contain the excitement in her voice. "Who are you anyway?"
"Yes. The Wand is in Agrabah, I'm certain of it. The other three... I'm not positive, but I've got an idea."
She put her hand on her hip, standing in a relaxed posture.
"I am Madame Mim--" She bowed with flourish "-- And I almost had my hands on it when they flew off on a magic carpet!"
"Wait, wait, wait!" she said shrilly. "Aladdin and his Genie know about the Talismans too? Great." She looked deep in thought for a moment, before deciding she should speak again.
"So let me guess... you want me to get the wand for you since she couldn't, is that it?"
