Shriek in the Night (Discontinued)

[kirby]

Three big blue eyes looked around, cautiously. It was clear to see that this little creature was afraid- and with good reason. This was Halloweentown, a place just filled with things that went 'bump' in the night. The furry orange 'flame' shaped creature walked through the Town Square slowly- his breaths coming out in short, terrified pants.

Kirby whimpered a little, backing up from the fountain which spewed water that one wouldn't dare drink if they were sane. Unfortunetly for Kirby he backed up right into a black cat, which jumped and hissed at him before running off. Kirby screamed, running in the other direction, however he tripped and fell over a loose brick.

He blinked a few times to regain his senses, before looking around the frightening town once more. He didn't know what this place was or how far he had strayed from his parents once again. He had to learn not to explore so much- last time it had almost caused the destruction of an entire planet.

[Merlin]

A sudden guest of wind filled the area, and a large falling star of sprinkles and magic dust erratically flew around the Town Square!

[kirby]

"Patita!" The orange fluffy creature exclaimed, excitedly. For a second, Kirby thought that the gust of wind may have been caused from his parents' spaceship landing. However, he could tell that it was something different. "Boochicha...?" Kirby mumbled, stepping back a little, wondering what the strange sprinkles were.

[Merlin]

When the magic's core landed near the fountain, a small whirlwind spun until an old man with a robe and a wizard's cap materialized. It was Merlin, and after his arrival he straightened his hat and glasses. Comfortable, he reached into a pocket and pulled out a pocketwatch. As he examined the time he placed a thumb and a finger on his moustache and lip. "Hm. Just in time. Ha!"

[kirby]

Kirby's eyes were wide in curiousity from this strange man with a long beard. He giggled a little bit, thinking he looked a little funny to him. Slowly he approached the man, a smile on the alien's face.

"Hiya!" He greeted, giving him a small and innocent wave. Kirby walked a little closer, looking at the man's beard- which Kirby thought would be called "fur". "Brrridtipa!" He said before running around Merlin once then giggling again. This funny-looking man seemed to be cheering him up.

[Merlin]

Merlin turned and looked down at the... thing that spoke. After slipping the watch back into his pocket, he pinched the rim of his glasses, as if to 'steady' his vision. "Oh. You're an unusual creature." He didn't mean it as an insult, but rather as a way to express his wonder.

[kirby]

Kirby jumped up a few times, trying to touch Merlin's beard. "Dahai!" It seemed Merlin was unusual to him, too. However he stopped once the man talked to him. "Wita! Wohwita!" He said before jumping up yet again, this time merely to show his excitement. He wondered what this man's name was and decided to tell him his name. "Kirby." The alien said, followed by a few words of "gibberish".

He noticed Merlin's watch and it reminded him of his father's watch- except his father's had a picture of a three-eyed Mickey Mouse on it. Kirby wondered if Merlin might have seen his parents. He pointed up at the sky, talking quickly again. "Dapo kokita! Shyuu..." Moving his hand he made the motion of a spaceship, then making "whoosh" noises. "Patita!" Kirby finnaly finished, hoping Merlin might have understood him.

[sally]

*Sally had come back to the town to check up on things seeing Merlin standing there she walked out slowly her hands up *

Who a...are you ? do you need help ? * noticieing the fluff ball she smiled softly * hello there

[kirby]

Kirby turned to Sally with a small smile, waving. "Wita! Wowita!" He cheered, boucing towards Sally. He giggled once more, jumping up a little. He wondered if she would pick him up like his mother and father did. The alien didn't really like being so small compared to the others.

[Merlin]

Merlin watched the small being's antics with amusement. When directed to the sky, the wizard looked up. "You're from out there?" he said. "That would explain why you are not of this earth. Hmmm?"

His attention shifted to the stitched young lady when he was approached by said lady. "Oh, I beg your pardon. I came here for something, but..." He looked at the orange thing again. "This little fellow intrigues me. My name is Merlin, miss."

[kirby]

"Doka!" Kirby jumped up, then nodded when Merlin asked if he was from "out there". It seemed he knew about creatures from other planets or "aliens" as Chicken Little had called him. Kirby laughed innocently as the wizard said he found him "intriguing", then watched as he introduced himself to Sally as "Merlin". Kirby pointed to himself, trying to inform Merlin of his own name. "Kirby." He said slowly, hoping that it would be easier to talk to Merlin than it had been with Chicken Little's father, Buck.

[Merlin]

Merlin thought he heard the creature say a name. He looked down to Kirby again. "Hm? I'm sorry; what's your name?"

[kirby]

Kirby sighed, but still kept a smile on his face. "Kirby!" He said slowly, motioning to himself yet again. The alien giggled a bit, remembering Buck Cluck's reaction to his "gibberish".

[Merlin]

"Kirby!" Merlin's eyebrows raised and he grinned. "So you do understand me!" He stroked his beard; he felt like little Alice--he was curious like a child, and was aware of it...

[kirby]

"Oyah." He smiled to Merlin. Kirby could understand English perfectly. Speaking it was another matter. The alien looked at Merlin's glasses, wondering why he wore glasses that weren't shaded. After all, the only glasses he even seen were sunglasses. "Boochicha?" Kirby asked, pointing to his own three eyes. The alien found it kind of funny that the people he met here only had two eyes. How did they get around?

[sally]

* Sally llaughed softly before picking the ball of fluff up * your name is kirby ? * Walking to the old man she studyed his face * excuse me are you from the human world ? * looking behind her for a moment she than looked back* h...have you seen a man in a wheel chair ? he can not find me again...

[kirby]

Kirby smiled when Sally picked him up- it reminded him of his parents. He missed them alot, but he knew they would be looking for him. He just hoped things wouldn't turn out like last time...that wouldn't be very good at all. "Oyah." He said to Sally when she asked that his name was Kirby. The orange alien looked up at her when she asked Merlin about a man in a wheelchair. "Nuh-uh." Of course, Kirby didn't exactly know what a wheelchair was, but he did'nt reacall seeing anyone like that.

[Merlin]

"You find my spectacles amusing, eh?" Merlin said to Kirby. "My eyes aren't what they used to be, and so I require assistance."

As Sally studied his face, he studied Sally's face. "I am from the 'human world,' as you put it. My name is Merlin, and I happen to be a sorcerer." Both of his palms where rested on the knob of his staff. "And I'm afraid I don't know this man of whom you speak."

[kirby]

"Ohhh..." Kirby said as Merlin explained his glasses. His species never had trouble with eyesight, of course. He laughed again, making his eyes spin for a moment in a circle counter-clockwise. His father often did that, although his mother seemed a little more serious than him. Except for when his father was mad, then he was dead serious.

[sally]

He's well He is my father in a sence but he is evil... * sally ganced around again * My name is Sally Patch sir and I hate to a...ask but why are you here ? Humans do not usually want to come here...

*Glanceing down at the baby she watched his eyes * Kirby would you like something to eat ?

[Merlin]

"I seek a plant that only grows in this climate," Merlin replied. "I will be off and on my way after I find it." He smiled in a friendly manner. Hopefully, this Halloween Town denizen wouldn't be intimidated.

[jack]

*Jack was heading back to his house from another one of his talks with the mayor about the upcoming Halloween, when he came upon Sally and two other creatures he didn't recognize from the "normal" denizens of Halloweentown. The Pumpkin King approaches them, a smile across his bony features.

Ah, Evening, Sally...good to see you...who are our guests?

[kirby]

Kirby listened as Sally explained a little about her "father" being evil. He gasped a little in shock- not knowing anyone's father could be like that. His father was as nice as could be (usually). He put part of his hand in his mouth, similar to how a baby might suck their thumb, and nodded happily when Sally asked if he would like something to eat.

He looked a little startled when he heard another voice greeting Sally. Kirby looked over at Jack, a little frightened of him- and he didn't usually get frightened from appearances that often. "Ayadah!" He said, fright showing through his voice and two of his eyes seemingly dissapearing at the moment and making it look as if he only had one large eye. That always happened when he was afraid. With Kirby's three eyes he almost looked like one of the strange creatures that looked like they would belong in Halloweentown. Little did he know that Jack was actually quite friendly, despite his rather frightening looks.

[sally]

What type of plant sir ? * sally looked around * I know all the plants that grow here. the witch hazel should be in bloom now and the night shade is nearly there as well... * Apon hearing Jacks voice a slight blush came over sally and she suddenly looked down at the ground * H...hello jack how are you . * looking at thae baby she smiled Jack this Is Kirby , Kirby This is Jack Skellington he is the King Of Halloween .

Jack this man * Glanceing at Merlin* need's our help... is it ok If I help him ? * Glanceing at Kirby * do you know if there is any baby food here ? the human kind for this child...

Mirage brushed her hair out of her face and warily wandered into the town. Wherever she was, she hoped to ask for directions here and paused on seeing the group ahead of her, they looked....unusual to put it politely. And this place felt kind of spooky.

As if by fate, her cell-phone rang loudly and she jumped slightly, grabbing it and hissing into the mouthpiece "Not now"

[Merlin]

Merlin wasn't scared by the skeleton; instead he was intrigued. Before he could address the skeleton--as well as respond to Sally--his thoughts were interrupted by yet another arrival. He looked back and saw the woman whose hair was white. "Oh. Hello, madam!" he called. "Have you followed me?" He asked that question in earnest; was she a witch?

[sally]

*Sally glanced at the new comer for a moment before looking back down at Kirby

[haku]

A young green haired boy wandered around Halloweentown. He certainly stood out from the citizens of the town- as he looked to be quite alive and not a monster at all. Haku noticed a group of people up ahead, some of which looked quite strange to the dragon boy. Two of them had white hair, however the woman looked to be much younger than the man. There was another woman who looked as if she were held together by stitches and a walking skeleton. And lastly there was a strange orange creature that had three eyes, however no surprise shown on Haku's face. In fact, his expression seemed rather emotionless. The spirit watched the group in interest for a few moments before speaking. "Hello." He said very simply.

[kirby]

Kirby looked over at the woman who had just joined the group. He giggled a little before waving happily to her. "Bibi!" He greeted her with a wave. Then he heard another voice and he looked over to see a boy with green hair. Kirby babbled a little, waving to him, too.

"Hello, sir, and that wasn't my intention although I do hope to ask for directions back home" Mirage glanced at Merlin, then half-turned her attention to Haku, Sally and Kirby as the alien furball greeted her and waved. Was the creature that the odd-looking woman holding some kind of pet or something, yet it seemed to talk "Hello to you both, if that is what Bibi means"
