It would have taken quite some time for your average human to make their way to the remote mountain jungle, but for a fleet-of-foot young boy and a flock of vultures, it wasn't hardly as difficult. Within no more than an hour of traveling, the rather odd quintet had reached their destination; the misty mountain rainforest, home of the gorilla clan.
Although it wasn't terribly tiresome for the four birds, they were still a tad worn out; it had been quite some time since they flew such a long distance like that. The feathered foursome perched themselves on the moist branches of a thick-trunked tree, relieved to finally rest. "Hoo... been a might long since these ol' wings've 'ad such a workout," huffed Buzzy, letting said wings hang limply by his side. He seemed exhausted, but a reassuring grin remained on his beak, as he looked down from the tree to Mowgli. "Well, I'd say we made it, kid!" The other three vultures took the time to glance around at their new surroundings. Although they had been here once or twice, the mountain forest was still a bit unfamiliar to them... but, being so carefree, they didn't mind the new environment so much as they were curious about it.

Mowgli had kept up with the vultures- though occasionally he'd run a head a few yards to explore the new area. The jungle was nothing like the one he had grown up in. The trees were greener and the animal calls foreign. The closer they got to their destination the slower Mowgli walked.
Not because he was tired, but because he was distracted. He paused until the birds had found a perch and he skittered up the tree to the nearest branch.
"This is really it? It's...different! I didn't know trees could get this green!"

The vultures craned their heads over to Mowgli, grinning with amusement and intrigue as they watched their friend, despite his scrawny stature, scurry right up the tree as easily as a squirrel. They had to wonder if all mancubs were as hardy as this little bloke.
"Yeah, not a bad lookin' joint, eh?" Ziggy remarked, returning to glancing around at the new scenery; the other birds disjointly nodded in response. Just because they spent most of their time hanging around a gloomy old gulch didn't mean they never appreciated green beauty... it's just that there's always a good chance of a meal in the wastelands. Ziggy took a moment to flap a single wing in front of his beak, squinting. "Might misty, though."
There was a short silence among the birds, as if they were pondering...
"... So, what're we gonna d-" Flaps, slightly off the ball as always, began to ask before receiving a light wing-slap on the beak from Buzzy. "'Ey, what gives?!" he complained, as if he had never said anything stupid in the first place. Buzzy lightly groaned, before loudly complaining. "Ya twit! We're here lookin' for mancubs, remember? The gorillas?"
"... Oh! Right, right!" Flaps grinned and nodded exuberantly, easily retrieving his memory. "I, er, knew that... I think."
"Might be a tad tricky to find the hairy ol' blokes in this weather," Dizzy commented in his usual deadpan tone, facial expression hidden under his shaggy locks. Truthfully, the mist did hinder the vultures' senses of sight and smell.

((Tempted to bring in Tantor or Terk x3))
Mowgli leaned forward a bit, holding onto a few of the branches for balance. He squinted and crossed his eyes to stare at the humid mist floating around before glancing back at Dizzy.
"Don't worry; I can see just fine! And the gorillas are really big, right?"
So it shouldn't be to hard to spot a giant furry monkey, even in the humid mists of the African part of the jungle. Mowgli let himself fall backwards, locking his knees around the branch and hanging upside down.
He stared down the pathways that were made through jungles by the animals that lived here.
