Adella swam around the oceans near Atlantica, an expression of utter boredom on her pretty face. She was trying to find one of her sisters...one that actually had the same interests as her, for she had been on her own for at least an hour, and was becoming tired of it.
Stopping for a moment, she thought about who she should find. Ariel...no, probably on one of her "adventures." Attina...no, she was far too boring and practical at times like this. Adella folded her arms and scowled in frustration. If only someone she knew was here with her!

The winds on the surface had been rather harsh, so Urchin was forced to play along the seabed for the day. Not that it was bad, he was getting a lot of exploring done and had a nice bag of seashells with him.
Stopping to adjust the strap he spotted a familiar raven head and grinned. Adella! No way, he was hoping to run into someone familiar. Careful not to make too any waves he swam up behind a coral, setting his bag down and peering over the side.
Now he just had to find a sea slug...

Saleen was not a familiar face in Atlantica, she had only recently just arrived in the kingdom! Treasure drew her to this home for merfolk; more specifically King Triton’s trident. The powerful object was not in the sights of the elemental because she wished to wield it, but instead because she wanted it for a trinket. It would be the most prized possession in her entire collection! Unfortunately the redhead was distracted by all the hunky mermen that swam here and put an effective halt to her mission. Even now her thoughts were so fixated on the muscular blond she’d chatted with as she drifted lazily out into the ocean that she forgot to pay attention to where she was going and bumped into a mermaid.
“Oops! Sorry!” the elemental sang. She had left out any formalities that included addressing Adella as ‘princess’ because Saleen had no idea that the mermaid was one of Triton’s daughters. “I met a gorgeous merman who I guess turned out to be really distracting.”

By now, the ditsy mermaid was on the break of going crazy with boredom, even though it had only been five minutes since she'd stopped in this place. But, Adella being Adella, she liked to make everything a drama.
"Oh, this is just perfect!" She angrily asked to herself, practically shouting the words. "Just my luck nobody would be around when I need them!"
Glancing glumly out into the distance, she was so pre-occupied in her thoughts, that she didn't notice the other mermaid swimming towards her...until she bumped into the Atlantican princess, making her cry out loudly. Brushing herself down, she turned to look at the other mermaid, and saw she didn't recognize her at all.
The other mermaid apologized, but Adella was a little angry that the mermaid didn't seem to know who she was. Her mood changed however when the other female started on about 'gorgeous merman.' Her eyes brightened; she'd always had an obsession with boys, and maybe this mermaid could show her where she'd found them!
"You met a merman? A handsome one?" Adella could barely contain her excitement. She was so happy, she never noticed that Urchin was only some distance away from her.

Urchin rolled his eyes; why did girls always have to talk about boys? He swam around them a bit, trying to find something to break the conversation.
Sea slug...no, heh an urchin, no that wouldn't work...
His eyes brightened and he covered his mouth to hold back a laugh as he carefully picked up the sea creature he'd found. It was tricky swimming carefully with the large animal in his arms. Waiting behind a closer rock he looked around for a current heading towards the two girls. He snickered and swam up towards it.
Once the chance came he squeezed the octopus in his arms hard, the ink squirting out and getting caught by the current- and heading in a messy black cloud straight for Adella and Saleen.
