History: --
Cinderella was born to a wealthy couple in France. Her first few years of life were happy, and she had everything a little girl could hope for. Despite the death of her mother when she was just two, Cinderella and her father maintained a close friendship, and he taught her to forever follow her dreams, no matter how bad things could get, and to always have a kind and wise heart.
Although the two were content, the father felt that Cinderella still needed a mother figure in her life, and re-married when she was around five, to a older woman, of seemingly good family, with two daughters around his daughter's age. For a while, the family seemed whole again - though, Cinderella wasn't close with her Step-sisters during this time.
When she was a little over seven, her father suddenly became ill and later, died. This devastated little Cinderella, as she had now lost the two people who meant so much to her, especially since her father had been so close to her. Little after that, did Lady Tremaine begin to alter radically in personality. Jealous of the girl's charm and beauty, she and her daughters constantly abused Cinderella emotionally, with the former openly encouraging them to do so.
It wasn't long before the little girl found herself practically a slave to her Step-families' demands. She was gradually shunned out of the once-lovely Chateau, forced to live in the house's attic, in the highest towers.
This continue for many years, but in that time, although the abuse continued, Cinderella remained true to her father's lesson; that she would forever follow her dreams, and remain kind, which only infuriated her Step-mother even more.
One day, a letter, from the palace, inviting every maiden in the Kingdom to attend, arrived at the Tremaine residence. Lady Tremaine at once made sure her daughters were fit to go, but when Cinderella eagerly expressed interest in attending, she made sure that the girl had even more chores to do than she originally had. It ended with the girl unable to finish her dress in time, but her mice and birds friends surprised her by making it for her, a modified version of her mother's old dress. It seemed everything would go well, until the Step-sisters tore her dress to shreds on the Step-mother's account of it containing discarded items of their own.
If it hadn't been for her Fairy-Godmother, Cinderella would've finally given up hope. In tears, she was consoled by the kind old woman, who made sure she would go to the ball, giving Cinderella a beautiful silver dress and a carriage to go in.
She got to the ball in time, and was almost immediantly being offered to dance by a handsome young man, who was unknown to her, the prince, looking for a bride. She instantly fell in love with the stranger, dancing throughout the night with him, until the clock suddenly struck midnight. Forced to flee, Cinderella left a glass slipper behind. She was chased by the palace's guards, but the magic wore off before she could be found. All that remained of the magic was the remaining glass slipper, which Cinderella held close to her heart, thanking her Fairy God-mother outloud.
The next day, the prince had sent out the Grand Duke, to find the woman who fitted the slipper, as he too had fallen in love, and wanted to marry her. Seizing the oppourtunity, Lady Tremaine got her daughters to try on the slipper, but was suspicious of Cinderella's dream-like mood and distracted attitude. She locked her in the tower, making sure she wouldn't be able to try on the slipper, as she realised the woman dancing with the prince the night before was her.
It looked to be all in vain for Cinderella, but Jaq and Gus soon came to the rescue, over-coming Lucifer with the help of Bruno, and managing to retrieve the key from Lady Tremaine. With this, Cinderella was able to be freed, and try on the slipper just in time. Unfortunately, her Step-mother managed to break the first slipper, but, thanks to her Fairy Godmother, still had the remaining slipper from the night before.
The slipper fit, and Cinderella was finally free to leave her cruel step-families' care, and marry the prince, following her dreams, and getting the love she'd always wanted.
