Donald as MODOK... I dunno whether to find it funny, or disturbing. I guess that's why it's his Halloween costume.

Sunshine(The image above is outdated, and does not reflect Sunshine's final costume design in Dream League) In a faraway kingdom not charted in the world map, Eyvindria, lived King Stefan and his fair Queen. Many years had they longed for a child, and finally their wish was granted. A daughter was born, and they called her Aurora. Yes, they named her after the dawn, for she filled their lives with sunshine. At the infant princess's christening, the Three Good Fairies--Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather--were invited, and they blessed Aurora with gifts. Flora bestowed to the princess the Gift of Beauty, and Fauna the Gift of Song. Alas, King Stefan's long-standing nemesis, Maleficent, stormed the christening uninvited. Maleficent was evil to the core and spiteful, and she cursed the kingdom: when the sun sets on Princess Aurora's sixteenth birthday, the kingdom will fall victim to a Great Old One, an otherworldly beast Maleficent would set free to destroy the kingdom. The evil fairy then vanished, laughing in arrogance. Because Merryweather had yet to cast her spell, she bestowed a special gift to the infant princess: Aurora would grow to have the power of flight, superhuman strength, and unflappable loyalty. The Gift of Prowess. Sixteen years later, the kingdom's savior defeated the Great Old One, and played a key role in trapping Maleficent in a thorny, pitch black tree. She is imprisoned in that tree to this day. A year had passed, with Evyndria in peace the whole time. The fairy-blessed princess, now aged 17, desired to use her powers to help a heavy populace in need (which turns out to be Epcot City). And so she convinced her royal parents to allow her to leave the kingdom, and help those who in need. But she promised to return to Evyndria when she was no longer needed in Epcot City, and fulfill her destiny as queen. Sunshine proves that true love conquers all! Voice Actress: Mary Costa

I'll be joining in on this, too! I have several characters planned to superhero-ize, and here's the first that'll show up, a rather obscure and forgotten little guy. BongoBongo was once the star of the circus! He could juggle and dance while on a trapeze, walk a tightrope with the greatest of ease! In jujitsu he was beyond compare, once threw a bull at the county fair; super at wrestling and lifting weights, and outboxed the champions of seventeen states! Yet, despite all of his fame and stardom, he lived a drudging, monotonous life in this traveling circus - soon came the day where he simply couldn't take it anymore, and succumbed to his natural desire to roam the open wilderness by escaping. It was always clear that this little bear was a tough customer, with remarkable strength, considering his diminutive size - however, one day, upon coming across a strange glowing rock that had fallen from the sky, Bongo felt even ten times stronger than before! No other bear in all the forest was a match for him, now - regardless, Bongo was a peacable little fellow who disliked fighting without a reason, but never stepped down when he saw somebody in trouble. One day, Bongo's travels took him to a marvelous, space-age city. Who knows what sorts of adventures he'll encounter here?

Cool, Sunshine sounds like the Dream League's answer to Wonder Woman. Does she have an updated costume design now? I'm tripping seeing Bongo -- and as a superhero, no less! I remember being a little girl and my parents renting his movie for my sister and I to watch. Happy to see someone else remembers the little guy!

I still think it'd be funny if Dinah Shore narrated all of Bongo's posts, Heffy. [Dinah Shore voice] "And then Bongo kicked ass and took names." <3 Excellent observation! Wonder Woman and Supergirl were the two main inspirations of Sunshine. Except Sunshine won't be voiced by Susan Eisenberg, won't be sexist, and won't have as much of an exposed cleavage. I say that last part with a heavy heart. And, yes, she does have an updated costume design now! Heavy in pink and blue.

LOL. Now that you mention it, I can spot the Supergirl influence in Sunshine (btw, I didn't care for the way the animated Justice League handled Diana at all). You don't see many superheroines wearing pink and blue, I'd like to see that. I lost my drive to draw sometime ago, but I might have to do some fanart for the Dream League sometime.

The Masked Mallard
Note: This is not the Masked Mallard's finalized costume.
One of Epcot City's wealthiest entrepreneurs, Scrooge McDuck originally became the Masked Mallard in order to improve his public image, and discarded his alter ego after an incident with a crazed television personality who was trying to frame the Masked Mallard.
He was forced to don his costume once again when thieves possessing inhuman powers were sabotaging his factories and the police could seemingly do nothing to stop them. After foiling the hoods himeself, Scrooge realized that the criminal underworld and super-villains were threatening to engulf Epcot City, and appointed himself the city's protector. While battling longtime foe Magica DeSpell one night, a spell cast by the sorceress that was intended to strip the vigilante of his vitality backfired, gifting him with the powers of superhuman durability, increased strength, and probability alteration instead.
Now, as a member of the Dream League, the dashing and mysterious Masked Mallard fights for justice alongside fellow superheroes, including his nephew Duck Avenger.

That's an excellent announcement!! How did you get that picture, though? Did you edit it yourself? If so, you're really good! ;

That would be a killer finishing move.
*Random villain is threatening Epcot City and smacking the Dream Leaguers around*
Random villain: "Where are the real heroes? Are they -- *is suddenly crushed by Eric's ship*
Thank you! I was trying to make it sound like a blurb for one of those old timey pulp heroes. I actually found that picture while surfing for images of Scrooge; I think it's from the Papernik comic.

LOL!!!
For Esme she's gonna specialize in hand to hand combat, and has a knack for 'distracting' her enemies. When she was young she was instucted on how to use gypsy magic from an elder, and was taught to fight by the men. She's no Ursula when it comes to her skills but she's determined to perfect her techniques.
Why 'The Emerald Witch'?
"Well, obviously my name is Spanish for emerald. And I figure If someone calls you a witch, you might as well get the full glory of it. It liberates you from convention"
Now for Eric, I'm a little stuck for a name and a set of skills. I picture him as the first "geek" prince so it only seems appropriate that he's kind of modeled after Peter Parker, (the frist "geek" superhero xD)
But maybe instead he was bitten by some kind of sea creature that gave him aquired powers...

I've always liked the whole Peter Parker/Eric comparison. If I could offer some other ideas, maybe Eric has some sort of totem given to him by Ariel or somebody that grants him the abilities of different sea creatures, so he could pull out different abilities depending on the situation (think Vixen or Animal Man). Like if needed to rescue someone at sea, then he could touch the totem and be able to swim as fast as a sailfish, or use echolocation like dolphin to locate his enemies. Or maybe you could give him hydrokinesis or the ability to control sheepdogs marine life. As for a codename, give me a day or two to dig up a few. I wrote up a list of superhero codenames for fan characters and stuff, but now I can't seem to find the darn thing. I like what you come up with for Esme as well. It's very fitting, and 'Emerald Witch' has a nice mysterious ring to it.

I never would have questioned the word "Emerald" associated with Esmeralda's superheroine counterpart, personally. One, the words are very smilar, and two, just look at her eyes! ;D
That's a nice suggestion, Nicole!

The Balloonist(Costume is not finalized, but it will look similar to the above picture.) Carl Fredricksen was a famous and highly active superhero in the past. As a child, Carl idolized the hero of the 30's: Charles Muntz. It was also in his childhood that Carl met his lifelong sweetheart, Ellie, who would later become his wife. The married couple soon learned that Ellie was infertile, which devastated her. But the couple had a new purpose when they were gifted rings of power. With these rings, the couple became the superheroes The Balloonist (Carl) and The Aviator (Ellie). The Balloonist and the Aviator were active between the 1950's through the 1980's. The husband and wife retired after over 30 years of heroic duties. Tragically, Ellie fell ill and died, leaving Carl alone. Ellie was Carl's life and purpose, and so losing her rendered him bitter, cold, and detached from public life. He had written off the hero business forever, and insulted or ignored anyone who brought up his past. Enter the Dream League. The Dream League will eventually face a mission where the Balloonist could really be helpful, but the old man is obstinate and mean. It will take the combined efforts of the Dream League and Ellie's memory to bring the Balloonist out of retirement. Only then will the Balloonist become a permanent member of the Dream League. As the Balloonist, Carl wears a costume but his face is not concealed. His power is within his ring, so without it he's completely vulnerable. The character was inspired by the Green Lantern. As such, his ring's powers are colored blue, and with them he can levitate, and make items lighter than air (as if they were balloons). If the Balloonist wears the ring long enough, his eyes glow. If he uses the ring carelessly without concentration, the ring's power can run out prematurely, and he'll have to wait for it to charge in order to use it again. Voice Actor: Edward Asner

The Claw(The picture above does not represent the Claw's final costume design. In fact, he's missing the clawed hand!) Sid Phillips, born in Epcot General Hospital and raised in Epcot Hills Suburbs, was a sadistic, hyperactive, disturbed, and socially deviant boy. Without sufficient love and care from his parents, he was aggressive and even emotionally abusive to his younger sister, Hannah. He took pleasurable delight in destroying toys, and later fancied torturing insects, and finally, even his neighbors' domestic pets. He was a bully in school, but he dropped out. Over the years he took more and more delight in his sadism, to the point where he became twisted beyond hope of redemption... and he's only 13! Having run away from home and moving from one hideout to another, Sid created and affixed a disturbing, clawed glove, and it is after this glove that his alias is named. (By coincidence, Sid was also amazing at crane-operated arcade machines, and very seldom lost his credit.) His modus operandi consist of diabolical, RC-controlled toys and freakish creations in general. In his first appearance, the Claw will use RC-controlled bombs to crash a bank and steal a large sum of money. Already the Dream League would investigate this, but things get personal when (spoiler!) the Claw abducts a member. Voice Actor: Erik von Detten

Niiice. Looking forward to seeing The Balloonist in action. I didn't think Sid could be any creepier then what he was in the first Toy Story, but he sounds like a genuinely menacing villain. And he's not even an adult!
I'd like to see some neutral/wild card characters around too, though unfortunately Disney doesn't have many gray area characters who could work in a superhero setting.

D'oh! Thanks for reminding me, Nicole! Neutral/wild cards are definitely welcome, but like you said there's an unfortunate shortage of such characters in Disney. Hmm...
I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but I'll definitely add that to the FAQ. Thanks a bunch!

OOOh! The Baloonist sounds really cool xD. Actually I'm loving all these ideas so far ^^ Thanks for the suggestion Nicole! That really helps I think the name i'm going to use for him will be Squalo. It actually means shark in Italian Anyway hoot, this is Esme's mini bio. The Emerald Witch. Esmeralda was born in Paris to the king and queen of the gypsies. From the time she was small it was instilled in her that she and her brother would take up the titles as guardians to the gypsy people. After her parents murder by the royal police when she was young an elderly gypsy woman mysteriously came to the court. It was revealed not long later that she was in fact Esmeralda's grandmother. Since her mother had passed on before Esmeralda could learn of the craft from her own mother, she was instructed by the woman all that she knew. Her work mostly was with potions and more theatrical forms of magic. Years passed, along with her gifts for magic, she also learned to dance from the women and how to fight from the men. She was a natural leader and protective of her people. She lead a rebellion against Judge Claude Frollo. Thus the Emerald Witch was born. As a woman of the Court she could only use her influence so much but as a symbol she could create something else entirely and make a stand for all outcasts. (Esme's outfit looks more like Electra's red outfit (the more pg version. Sorry to disappoint the guys! ) but in a deeper green and wears a mask that also hides her hair)

Squalo, huh? I like it. Good job with the Emerald Witch's profile too, Frida (this is off-topic, but I kinda hope we can get a Frollo for DL, he'd be a good villain for the Dream League!).

Loving the stuff you came up with for Esmerelda, Frida! I'm glad we've gathered quite a few extra people to join in on this, heh. Anyway, I suppose it couldn't hurt to reveal one more of my characters - not like Joe didn't upload a list of all of the confirmed ones, anyway. =P She-WolfHer real name unknown, She-Wolf is a mysterious young feral girl, and arguably the 'wildest' member of the Dream League. Ever since she was a child, she rather disliked the company of others and was antisocial - with the exception of her parents, whom she loved more than anything else. Having witnessed, as a young girl, the death of both of her parents right before her eyes at the hands of ruthless criminals, the girl was orphaned and alone that very instant, and ever since, has shunned humanity and any contact with it; now, with the only two people that she has ever trusted gone from her life, she saw all of the human race as cruel and ruthless. Before she could even be found and taken into custody, the traumatized young girl fled into the distant forests, and, starving and near-death, was taken in by a mother wolf, who, out of maternal instinct, took her in as her own rather than feeding her to her own cubs. Ever since, the girl has stayed there in that forest, living with the wolf pack as one of their own kind - scorning humanity, she has taken to living with animal-kind. In a twist of fate, however, these were no ordinary wolves - they were forest gods, protectors of the wilderness. By their power, the girl had become more than human; she had gained superhuman, animalistic abilities, such as enhanced agility and senses, and retractable claws and fangs, as a gift from the benevolent wolf gods. With these powers, the girl had truly become one of the pack, and used these abilities to defend the forest and its creatures from malicious outsiders of any sort. However, one fateful day, the wolf girl is drawn out from her forest home... and back into the technologically-dominated realm of man.

I see the League has it's own answer to Wolverine. Love what you did with San, Heffy! Here are some of my villains. The Twin Fangs
Note: About the only costumes I'm considering for them are high-tech black collars that would include a comm-link so they could talk with Kahn and vice-versa. Armed with long razor-sharp claws that can slice through steel like hot butter and voices that can either be used for earsplitting sonic attacks or as hypnotic songs, these two bad kitties are a hero's worse nightmare.
It's rumored that the Twin Fangs, AKA Si and Am, began as ordinary pampered house cats who came into contact with some of the same mysterious meteorites that were responsible for giving other ordinary people and creatures superhuman powers. They graduated from snatching baby bottles and fish from the unsuspecting to jewelry theft, extortion, and smuggling. Presently they are in the employ of fellow feline criminal Shere Khan.
The sneaky twin sisters are experts at having others take the blame for their crimes while they slink away scott free. But the Twin Fangs may have just met met their match in the Dream League...

PEGGY LEE!! <3 <3 <3 Looks like the cat's out of the bag, if you'll excuse the pun. No sense is hiding Shere Khan any longer, so...! Shere Khan(In Dream League, Shere Khan will resemble as he appeared in TaleSpin, except he does have the whiskers he had in The Jungle Book.) A self-made tiger, Shere Khan was born with nothing, but now fights to own everything. Shere Khan is one of Epcot City's driving economic forces. The multi-billionaire ranks second only to Scrooge McDuck, whom Shere Khan intensely views as a competitor. The bipedal tiger is a calculating, ruthless businessman who knows exactly how to get what he wants, and he will stop at nothing to reach his goals. The biggest difference between Shere Khan and Scrooge McDuck is that Shere Khan is evil; deaths mean nothing to the tiger, just as long as he gets what he wants. He only desires two things, money and power. Despite his cruelty in the business world (he has driven countless bankrupt entrepreneurs to disappear without a trace, and never feels a smidgen of remorse), Shere Khan does have qualities of dignity and sophistication. For example, he treats the Twin Fangs (Si and Am) very well, and he even respects certain foes whom he considers dignified. ("Ah! You have spirit for one so small, and such spirit is deserving of a sporting chance.") He has no known superpowers, but he is a dominating presence in Epcot City's economy. Also, he is a beautifully graceful tiger with muscles, retractable claws that are sharp, and extensive skill in physical combat. He exercises often to keep perfect physical condition, and this obsession with perfection extends to fashion. His business suit alone is worth several thousand dollars. When he is not expanding his business empire and striving to own all of Epcot City, Shere Khan enjoys music and singing, swimming, and botany. In fact, his main office resembles a jungle, and he tends to his garden himself. Shere Khan has an irrational fear of fire, but he keeps this weakness a secret as much as possible. (This fact makes the picture above ironic, because look what Shere Khan is standing right next to. ) In time, Shere Khan will oppose the Dream League for their continuous interferences with his business plans. In particular, Shere Khan will focus his aggression on Sunshine, She-Wolf, and the Masked Mallard... Voice Actor: George Sanders

So I totally love this idea. It sounds really fun and really interesting at that. I'd love to bring Naveen and Florian over if I can, and though it's been a while since I've played him anywhere, I might try taking up Zephyr from The Hunchback of Notre Dame II again. (Yes, I hate the sequel as everyone else does, but c'mon! Zephyr was just too adorable!) All three would be works in progress, but I can imagine Florian's powers having something to do with singing and/or swordfighting and/or nature. I dunna know a good superhero name for him yet, but I'm sure I'll think of something eventually. Naveen would probably utilize his charm and froggish abilities, but that they'd be enhanced somehow. He could be called something like "The Frog Prince" or "Frog-Man" or even "The Amazing Frog-Man" (all are lame, I know). Zephyr's own abilities, on the other hand, would rely on his speed and juggling. He could be "The Juggler" or something like that. Any thoughts or suggestions?
