@joseph: Your take on Kahn is wonderful. I love smooth villains with senses of honor!
@jacob: I have a couple of thoughts.
Florian: I like your ideas for him. Maybe he could be capable of calling upon certain forces of nature, like animals, wind, plantlife, etc?
Naveen: He would make such an awesome hero! I like the frog-based abilities and the charm thing. He could be able to breath underwater, swim really fast, possess gravitative leaping abilities, etc. But maybe (and this is just an idea) since he's a musician, instead he could have a special guitar or something that can have different effects depending on how he plays it (sonic blasts, a melody that can make people dance against their will, etc.).
Zephyr: Are you intending on making him a non-powered hero, or giving him powers? If it's the latter, then perhaps he could be a speedster. I don't think there's one on the team yet.

JACOB, BUDDY!! I'm glad you love the idea! ;D Thank you, Nicole! Shere Khan's a jerk, but he does have class. I love these ideas. Something guitar/ukulele based would totally compliment a superpowered Naveen! As for the name, I can help you narrow down some options! Would you like to have either "frog" in the alias, "prince," or both/neither? And, no, there aren't any speedster characters in Dream League yet, so there's an option. But juggling could be pretty fun, too. As for Florian, I like your ideas too. It's sounding like he's the closest of your plans to be all set. As for a name, um......... One Song? *shrug and meek smile*

Paradox(The above picture is a poor visual example. Paradox's costume will consist of a simple medieval hunter's outfit and a blue cape with a large collar that circles around the back of his head. As Paradox, Merlin will not wear his hat, so his white hair is exposed. His glasses will also be more durable than what he usually wears.) Merlin is the world's most powerful wizard... in the good side at least (there, now Jafar fans won't kill me). He, his assistant Archimedes, and Arthur were directed by Fate to travel to the future, and help save the world from a doomed future. He, Archimedes, and Arthur entered the future and became members of the Dream League. It's unknown if Paradox is older or younger than The Balloonist. Paradox is physically weak, but his magical powers can pack a punch, and so he prefers to fight from a distance rather than using his fists. Actually, he'd prefer to rely on brain over brawn entirely. Paradox can't roommate with any superhero because he needs all the space he can get for his charts, theories, and books. Of all the Dream League Paradox is the most obsessed with knowledge and education. Of all of Joseph's Dream League characters, Paradox is the superhero with the most unknown/ambiguous background. How Merlin became a wizard, where he obtained his powers, and other important questions have unknown answers. Because of this, Paradox is Joseph's most mysterious hero. Voice Actor: Karl Swenson

And here is Joseph's last core hero of the Dream League! Tron Created by programmer and COO of ENCOM Alan Bradley, Tron will start as a security program in the Dream League supercomputer. The actual artificial intelligence of the supercomputer will first be the Master Control Program, or MCP. However, MCP will eventually rebel against the Dream League, and digitize some of its members so they can be de-rezzed (terminated). Inside the tangible world of the Dream League supercomputer, the heroes and heroines will meet Tron, and Tron will help them defeat the MCP. After the MCP is 'dismissed,' Tron will be employed as the new artificial intelligence, for he is kind and loyal. In attack, Tron uses his identity disk and has some other program-based powers and abilities. Put simply, Tron's inclusion in Dream League is a nerd's dream come true. Thanks for the input, guys. I really love the idea of Florian having nature-based abilities. His singing voice could have an effect like Snow White's normally does -- only supered, you know? As far as a hero name, I might just call him "The Prince." Though it's his lame official name, I think it could work well as his title. The ukulele idea is great! The whole breathing under water, swimming really fast, etc. thing could be natural abilities that come with his frog form, while his actual moves could be channeled through the ukulele, depending on how it's played and what not as has been said. I think Naveen could have the ability to change into frog form when he wants, perhaps as an after-effect of the curse that Dr. Facilier didn't anticipate. For his own title, I really like either "Frog-Man" or "The Amazing Frog-Man," since I think Florian will be using "The Prince." Zephyr would have super powers. I actually like the speed idea more than the juggling one; the latter would probably just be something he's naturally good at. He could be called "(The) Speedster" or "Fast-O" or something like that.

I think I'll go with "Sidetrack" for Zephyr. Not just for the speed thing, but because his constant jabbering and mischief could "sidetrack" anyone. So I've got "The Prince," "Frogman," and "Sidetrack" then. I'll work on their bios and get them posted ASAP.

Hey, The Prince works! Come on, think of a lot of the great superheroes' names. Superman? He's nearly invulnerable, but when you think about it Superman is a pretty basic name. Batman? Okay, so it's a man who uses bats as a motif. Wonder Woman? Really? You see, sometimes the 'simple' names are the names that work best!

Taurus Bulba As one of Epcot City's most notorious and dangerous crime lords, Taurus Bulba is a menacing threat. Even a 99-year sentence in jail is not sufficient to keep Taurus away from illegal dealings. Murder, heists, and abductions, this evil bull has done it all. He will be a pain in the ass for the Dream League, for sure. He will likely eventually be killed, but reanimated like in the "Darkwing Duck" series. Voice Actor: Tim Curry

Bêl O Olau (Ball Of Light)[Note: this is NOT Bel's final design. Also, she will have a few more powers, centered around stuff from the movie, but Hannah can't think right now. ] Bêl O Olau, despite having a very prominent personality, is probably another one of mysterious characters in Dream League when it comes to her history. Nobody quite knows where she came from, except that she once resided in Wales. She is quite hot-headed at times, and stands up firmly for what she believes in. Although she can be rather a bossy sort of girl, her loyalty to her team-mates and friends is great, and she is very determined to do her job as a super-heroine well. Her powers include an ability to seek out others from a distance [even if they appear to have left no trace of being there] and create a burst of light that can be used to either illuminate dark areas, or to temporarily blind her enemies. Bêl is also quite experienced in fencing and some hand-to-hand combat. Will she ever reveal more about herself? Time will tell…

Heh, I had a similar reaction as Joe's. "Ooo, that's a pretty codename... how do I pronounce it?" XD But yeah, I like your take on a superhero version of Eilonwy, Hannah. If you want Jacob, perhaps you could tag another word in front of "prince" for Florian, like "The Fauna Prince", or "The Natura [Latin for nature] Prince" or something. But like Joseph said, sometimes simple names work really great too. I like Sidetrack for Zeph, he'll be so cute in his little costume! I can't wait to see the profiles for your three heroes. Taurus Bulba! <3

MCP The Master Control Program, shortened to MCP, is an artificial intelligence program developed by ENCOM. The MCP was programmed for the Dream League's supercomputer. The MCP is obedient for the Dream League's first several missions, but as it acquires more data and knowledge it grows more obstinate, until finally the MCP rebels. Feeling superior to the Dream League and humanity in general, it shoots a beam at some of the Dream League (those interested in joining the plot) and digitizes them, pulling them into the supercomputer's world. There the Dream League will meet Tron, who will devote his life to assist his beloved Users. What makes the MCP unique from other Dream League villains is that he is not human. He is a computer program, and so completely destroying him will be very tricky. His inhumanity is emphasized by how he speaks in role-play. FOR EXAMPLE, said the MCP, MY SPEECH APPEARS AS UNQUOTED, BOLDED TEXT. I EXPECT SUCH BASE KNOWLEDGE IS ACCESSIBLE TO EVEN A PRIMITIVE USER LIKE YOU. END OF LINE.Voice Actor: David Warner

Ah yes, the MCP....I remember him from KH2, and yes, he spoke like he sounded as though he was important....although, the idea of a Supercomputer sounds awesome as it is.
Kinda reminds of Skynet from the Terminator series, an inteligent computer and the likes, waging war against the world.....would be fun to battle the MCP.
But I do wonder, if to face off against the MCP, one would have to go into the computer system itself to destroy/delete him or not XD

Boogie Man "Now it's time for you to see what it really means to scare 'Cause I'm a gamblin' Boogie Man, although I don't play fair! It's much more fun, I must confess, with lives on the line! Not mine, of course, but yours, Dream League Now that'll be just fine!" The Boogie Man is a terrifying supervillain whose main weapon can hit any Dream League member hard: fear. He has the power to subject his opponents to hallucinations and intense nightmares, where the subject is faced with his or her own personal demons and deepest fears. Boogie Man appears as a large burlap sack stuffed with insects, arachnids, and snakes. That's what I have so far. Admittedly, I'm still working on Boogie Man. I'm trying to decide if he should be in the real world, or only appear in dreams (a la Freddy Krueger), or somehow both. Because I'm still working on Boogie Man's origins, he won't appear for a while. But when he finally does make his entrance, there'll be trouble close at hand. You better pay attention now, 'cause he's the Boogie Man! Voice Actor Ken Page

Puppet Master Stromboli speaks with a strong Italian accent, though he dresses like a gypsy. He is a master showman, conductor, and puppeteer. He moves his traveling puppet show from one city to another, and eventually he arrives in Epcot City. But when children who watch Stromboli's puppet shows disappear without a trace, the Dream League suspects that there's more to the puppeteer than meets the eye... Voice Actor: Charles Judels

LeFou LeFou is an overpowered Gary Stu. He is a godlike entity that can implode any living being by the power of his mind, especially if he has consumed enough beer. He makes Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen look like Dr. Doofenshmirtz. The Dream League is doomed from the start just because LeFou is such an unstoppable force. "Heh! Darn right!" The Phantom Blot(The Phantom Blot's daughter is seen in the first panel. The Blot is in the second panel.) The Phantom Blot is a criminal mastermind, an expert thief, a skilled hypnotist, an escape artist, an actor, a master of disguise, and a father. He is introduced to the Dream League by a report of a stolen priceless artifact, and his calling card. The Phantom Blot later meets the Dream League in the flesh, and becomes a recurring antagonist from there. The Phantom Blot is dangerous and formidable. Yet he dislikes killing on the spot, so if he must kill he prefers to do it by a trap, or some other means that don't require him to physically kill. His true name is unknown, along with his daughter (nicknamed the Phantom Brat). The Phantom Blot may be wicked, but he loves his daughter very much, and this feeling is mutual. At the risk of disappointing potential Epic Mickey fans, this Phantom Blot will be his classic self, and not like that.... black, gooey, beastly, uh, thing. Yeah. He doesn't have superpowers, but that only forces him to be crafty and evasive. Fun fact: the Phantom Blot's eyebrows and mustache (when unmasked) are apparently inspired by Walt Disney's. Voice Actor: John O'Hurley

Chief O'Hara(Chief O'Hara is the dog behind the desk. The Phantom Blot is unmasked in this panel.) O'Hara (I've read a report that his first name is Seamus, but I'm not convinced so he will remain as simply O'Hara for now) is the chief of police, of the Epcot City Police Department (ECPD). In this upcoming RPG, Chief O'Hara is basically the Dream League's answer to Batman's Commissioner Gordon. Chief O'Hara can be hotheaded and jump to conclusions, but he's a good man. You can understand his heavy problems: he's an incorruptible cop in a corrupted city. O'Hara will not appear in every thread and adventure. He will initially be skeptical and unreceptive of a group of masked vigilantes, but when he realizes that the Dream League are helpful and mean for the best, O'Hara will warm up to them. He will even create a searchlight with the Dream League symbol/emblem on it. This searchlight, much like the Bat Signal, not only calls for the Dream League, but also serves as a psychological reminder to the city's villains that the Dream League are around. Chief O'Hara is originally from Ireland, and he speaks with a thick Irish accent. Voice Actor: Corey Burton

Gyro Gearloose Gyro Gearloose, an anthropomorphic chicken/crane/whatever, a longtime aid of Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck, is the Dream League's head mechanic, inventor, and handyman. His contraptions often go awry for comedic effect, but he can be efficient! After all, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Interestingly, Gyro has aided both the Masked Mallard and Duck Avenger, prior to being enlisted full time by the Dream League. Gyro created a tiny robot assistant named Little Helper, or simply Helper. The robot is tiny and has a light-bulb for a head. Voice Actor: Hal Smith

*looks around and puts hand up* Can Ben Gates still be the Dream League's history-related person to go to for knowledge on history? XD Then again, I am gonna be playing as him....so hmm.....well, I do like that idea as it is, him helping out in any history-related ordeals and the likes like that. But I have to say, I do like those that have been shown so far.....especially LeFou, best. character. ever

Too bad LeFou is just a joke! Aw, boy, LeFou is pissed at me for teasing him like that, but, oh, well! Ben Gates can still be the Dream League's history-related person to go to for knowledge on history, for sure! After all, it's written in stone that Disney superheroes need to visit Nicolas Cage characters for advice and insight. I like the idea, too. Do you think he'd visit them at their mansion/headquarters at all, or the Dream League would have to go to him? Actually, it could work both ways. What am I saying? lol CRAP! *finally remembers the meteorites and adds it to the FAQ*
|
|
|
Post by jakelong on Oct 29, 2010 2:13:18 GMT -8
Yeah, I would imagine that it could go both ways with him. But more him visiting them if they have a few questions, so Ben Gates comes over with his knowledge and any books required to answer any questions the heroes have XD
Or possibly even...some sort of webcam chat perhaps? Like how in some of the Disney cartoon shows...I'll use Phineas and Ferb as an example, with Perry....on how the Chief contacts him, through a television about his mission. Perhaps something to that effect can be used as well?
