Epic Mickey's initial sales in the United Kingdom, where the game debuted first, were very disappointing. Apparently, Mickey is more popular in North America; in December, the game has sold 1.3 million copies, which is a very impressive number. I will modify this news report when I find the actual number of copies sold in the UK. Source: wii.nintendolife.com/news/2011/01/wow_disney_epic_mickey_sold_13m_copies_in_north_americaA rumor from long ago said that Epic Mickey was initially planned as the first of a trilogy. Warren Spector himself said that, if Epic Mickey is successful, he would love to make a DuckTales/Scrooge McDuck game. Although it's very nice that such a risky Disney project is a success in North America, and that I'm happy that Warren Spector et al made the game, I'm sad to admit that I find the game itself, as a whole, is less than the sum of its parts. I will explain myself better in my eventual review of the game.
