It was like waking up from a deep slumber; weeks had passed and still her “yesterday” was burned into her memory: A poor peddler woman with a basket of apples and a kind offer to share one. She took a bite and then… darkness; nothing but darkness. Her dreams were full of terror and involved the Queen, yet there was a purity that surrounded and comforted her during the horrible thoughts. A voice sang out to her; it was male and full of promises…
Snow White opened her eyes and there he was! A man she knew from what seemed like a long time ago, though he was someone that she loved the first time she saw him. A huge smile spread across her ruby red lips as he scooped her up into his arms. It was difficult to take her eyes away from him, even to bid the dwarves a proper goodbye, though she treasured her seven wonderful friends. Though she did not yet know his name, she knew he loved her and nothing had ever felt so right. Already she knew that the rest of their lives together were beginning in these very moments.

Ferdinand had found he'd been too late to save his beloved from death, and how he'd searched far and wide to find her. He'd heard stories of the maiden who slept in a golden coffin atop a mountain. The Prince's journey soon came to an end, and he saw his Snow White, so beautiful that she appeared as if she were merely asleep. He sang a final farewell and walked up to the coffin, where he placed a tender kiss upon Snow White's red lips. Ferdinand then bent down on one knee and buried his face, hardly able to calm his broken heart. All that were gathered mourned the loss of the beautiful princess, but then...
The boy heard a slight yawn, and when he looked up, his heart filled with joy! Everyone else followed the Prince and rejoiced in the miracle. Ferdinand shot to his feet and scooped up Snow White in his arms, his blue eyes meeting with her own brown ones. True love had conquered all, and Ferdinand carried his beloved to his steed. Around the couple, the dwarfs and the animals of the forest danced and cheered. He placed her gently on Kaiser's back and lifted the seven dwarfs to let Snow White say her last goodbyes. With all said and done, Ferdinand took Kaiser's reigns and, before they left, bade his own farewells to their friends.
They only had to travel a short distance before they arrived at the top of another mountain. In the distance, there was Ferdinand's castle, so beautiful that it was if it was floating in the sky. As the couple gazed upon it, the Prince turned his head to Snow White and spoke, his voice full of happiness and love. "It makes me so happy that you're alive! How I've missed you..." Ferdinand told her.

Everything about her prince was exactly as she had remembered; the handsome features of his face, the sound of his voice. Snow White was so relieved that time apart had not altered this man in anyway that a small gasp flew from her mouth when he spoke. She quickly attempted to cover it by politely placing her fingers to her lips, but she was so elated that the girl could only smile and laugh softly.
“Oh, I’ve missed you too! I’ve thought about you every day since we met!” She shook her head, the grin still fastened in place as she added, “And I don’t even know your name. My name is Snow White.”
The Princess' eyes were filled with awe as she stared at the magnificent castle in the distance; it looked so grand and beautiful, almost like it was right of a story.
“Is that where you live?” she inquired in amazement.

Ferdinand smiled gently as Snow White placed her hand over her mouth and giggled softly. Her laugh was so youthful and innocent, like a gentle breeze. She told him of she missed him as well and hadn't stopped thinking about him. She also mentioned how she didn't even know his name, and told him hers.
The Prince took Snow White's hands in his, and looked at her with his stunning blue eyes. "Not a day has passed that I haven't thought about you as well!" Fate had been cruel to separate the two lovers. The day they met, Snow White's stepmother, the wicked Queen Grimhilde, had called for her stepdaughter. The Queen's appearance made Ferdinand have to flee, but he'd promised to return for Snow White. Now that she was alive again, he was able to keep that promise.
"Oh, Snow White! We shall be wed in the morning." Ferdinand exclaimed happily. Her name sounded so beautiful, just as she was. "I'm Prince Ferdinand." the boy introduced, his voice still bright and happy. Snow White then asked him if he lived in the castle in the distance. Ferdinand nodded. "Yes, it is. You'll live there too!" he said dreamily.

<JACOB!!! My muse came back! *dances*>
A gentle flush of pink tinged her pure white cheeks when Ferdinand confessed to missing her. Shyly the girl drew in her bottom lip and placed her hand against the blush to still it. A delighted sigh fell from her lips as Ferdinand passionately declared their forthcoming wedding and she embarrassedly pushed aside the impure thought of leaning forward to kiss him in her excitement.
Ferdinand was a darling name and certainly suitable for dashing young man. To think only hours away she would be living the rest of her life in peaceful bliss, when just a short time ago she had wondered if she would ever find this kind of happiness. Snow White had loved her time with the dwarves and could not have asked for a finer bunch of companions (and protectors) to take care of, but those wonderful men would never be able to provide the kind of happiness Snow White had been searching for before she met the Prince. And now at long last her true love was here, ready and willing to remain with her forever.
“I am so very glad for everything you’ve done for me, Ferdinand. And I cannot wait to become your wife. I feel like I have known you for so long and yet I cannot say I know much about you at all. Please tell me about yourself.” With a girlish giggle she added, “I would like to know more about my future husband than only his name.” She brought her hands together, clasping them to her chest when the perfect idea struck her. “Why don’t you tell me a story about yourself and then I shall tell you one about me!”

(OOC: Hurrah! XDDD)
(IC:) Ferdinand was hardly able to remove his eyes from Snow White. She was a vision of loveliness, inside and out. It was as if God had made her just for him, and he for her. He had to restrain himself to keep from kissing her passionately on her red and tender lips. He didn't think the idea impure at all; in fact, he rather enjoyed it. But he didn't, however, want to startle her. So, he simply gave her a dashing smile instead.
The beautiful princess told him that she was eager to become his wife. The two names just seemed to flow together - Ferdinand and Snow White. The boy couldn't stop repeating them in harmony in his mind. Snow White's point, however, that she barely knew anything about him struck an embarrassing chord within the Prince. His face became flush with embarrassment at the fact that they hardly knew a thing about each other. It'd be strange for two complete strangers to get married, now wouldn't it? In response, he simply laughed heartily and nodded. "Why, of course. Too, I'd like to know more about my wife than just her name." he said.
"I was my parents' only child. They were powerful rulers, yet fair and just too. My mother died in childbirth, and my father while on Crusade in the Holy Land. I wish to be as good a ruler as they were, and to be there for my people. I'll be crowned King on my next birthday, and you, my queen." Ferdinand told Snow White, a brief story on his life. "Might I hear about you?" he asked with eagerness. All he knew of Snow White was that she'd had a wicked stepmother who'd treated her with malice and contempt, and who'd attempted to break the happy couple apart by trying to kill them. The boy did hope there was something happy about his beloved's life!

The fact that both had lost their parents when they were young made Snow White feel a genuine connection between the two; one that didn’t revolve around their love for one another, but for their parents. Ferdinand certainly seemed to have good values, definitely the opposite of her stepmother. Former stepmother that is. Queen Grimhilde shared no love for her people, being too obsessed with herself. Instead of feeding the hungry and finding aid for the sick, she would stand before her magic mirror spending countless hours admiring her reflection. Those peasants who managed to prove to be successful at truly annoying the Queen were sent to be executed. The joy in Snow White’s eyes left as she reflected on the fact that the mother she should have had was taken away from her after only minutes of knowing her.
“My mother died soon after I was born as well. I do wish I knew her and for a few years it was just my father and I. We had such wonderful times together! He would take me out riding with him on his horse, since I was too small to have my own. And then Queen Grimhilde came into our lives. I was so young I don’t remember much about the time when it was just the king and me. Father died of an illness and the Queen sent me off to become a scullery maid. Oh, but the rest of the servants were kind to me though. I’m very grateful to them because their kindness was given at a risk to them.” A fond smile slid on to her lips as she recalled the wonderful people who raised her. “And the animals around the castle were some of my dearest friends! Who are your friends Ferdinand? Do you have many? Are they as nice as you?”
