Name/Alias: B'rer Fox
Age: Unknown, but probably an adult in fox years.
Is From: Georgia, United States of America
Species: Red fox (anthropomorphic)
Height: Probably around 4 feet.
Weight: Approximately 20 lbs.
Gender: Male
Likes: A good meal (rabbit is a particular favorite); whenever his plans work, and catching B'rer Rabbit; getting his way.
Dislikes: Being outsmarted by B'rer Rabbit; his plans backfiring; being hungry; not getting his way.
Normal Attire: Rather typical rural southerner attire: floppy tan hat, an olive green vest, a white undershirt, and ratty green pants.
Strengths: Craftiness, resourcefulness, cleverness, slyness, as expected of a fox; sheer determination and a refusal to give up, the reason he still pursues B'rer Rabbit after failing so many times.
Weaknesses: Overconfidence, stubbornness... and B'rer Bear.
Allied with: B'rer Bear, usually.
Mortal Enemy: B'rer Rabbit
Bio: B'rer Fox always has trouble getting a meal, particularly so when his desired prey is quick, nimble, and incredibly wily. Above all else, the fox has a near constant craving for rabbit stew, and B'rer Rabbit, the fox's sworn enemy and rival in wits, is his favorite target. Naturally, the rabbit is a poor choice, judging by how often the fox's plans to capture him fail. B'rer Fox may be one of the sliest animals in the forest, but B'rer Rabbit is more than a match for him; this only increases the fox's aggravation towards the rabbit. Sheer tenacity and determination, however, drives the fox onward in his quest to capture the rabbit; nobody makes a fool out of him and gets away with it...
... Unless that somebody is B'rer Bear. B'rer Fox's supposed partner-in-crime, this is possibly another poorly made choice on the fox's part. B'rer Bear, essentially, has the mind of a child... the mind of a very stupid child. Nearly every time the bear becomes too involved with one of the fox's plans, things go awry; the rabbit can outsmart and fool the gullible bear with the greatest of ease. Thinking into it, however, can justify the decision to keep the bear on his side; B'rer Fox is a lot safer keeping the big lug as a friend than a foe.
Fast-talking and fast-witted, B'rer Fox never backs down from an opportunity to get what he wants... and if he fails, he'll never give up.
Voice Actor: James Basket, who also played the live-action role of Uncle Remus in the same film.
Debuted In: Song of the South (1946)
