After assisting Father Time and restoring balance to the space-time continuum, the crocodile and Ariel were propelled back to their reality, in the expanse ocean. The crocodile secretly found the whole thing nonsensical and annoying, but at least he had a companion.
The crocodile and his companion, Princess Ariel the mermaid, were forcibly shoved out of an underwater cavern with great yet harmless force. Ah, to taste the salt again! The large reptile was happy to be back in the sea. But where was Ariel?
He spun and bobbed as he waited for the mermaid to appear.

*The red-haired mermaid princess emerges not long after the crocodile, grabbing onto the animal's back gently to steady herself. She gave an exhale, glad to be in open ocean again, as well.*
Phew...am I glad that's over. I have to wonder if we'll ever see Father Time again, though.
*She looks at the ocean over their heads; it'd felt like it'd been so long since she'd seen actual daylight.*
How long do you suppose we were down there?...either way, I suppose I'd better head home, before Daddy gets too worried. Are you going to be okay, Mr. Crocodile?

Melody looked round. 'Funny, I don't remember coming here...' Her thought trailed off when she saw her mother. But something was different about her. She looked....younger...
"Mom!" she called, swimming over to her. "Are you okay? I thought I'd lost you!" Her blue eyes kept a wary glance at the crocodile, but it didn't seem to be harming anyone.

The crocodile smiled to his mermaid friend. Before he would nod, though, he heard the voice of a young girl. He turned and saw the mermaid with black tresses swim to them.
Mom? He leered to Ariel, with his brows raised in confusion. Was this girl confused?

*Ariel was just as, if not, even *MORE* confused than her crocodilian friend. Nevertheless, the young mermaid princess blinks, then smiles, lopsidedly.*
I'm sorry, little girl, but, ah...I'm afraid I've never seen you before.

Edging away from the croc, Melody's eyes instantly dropped and became shiny, as if she would start crying. "Y-you don't know me?" The mermaid stuttered, trying to make sense of all this.
Her head snapped up instantly, when a thought came to her, "Why do you look younger, too? Shouldn't you be on land now? How did you change into a mermaid so fast?"

The crocodile looked back to the girl, with one brow lowered. He didn't mean to be condescending, but he was just merely baffled that this girl, who seemed to be a complete stranger to Ariel, claimed to be said mermaid's acquaintance. Let alone her offspring!
Or maybe Ariel truly had forgotten, yet met this girl before? Hmm.

"Ariel! Hey Ariel!" A voice called from behind the red head before a blond haired mer-boy appeared around a batch of coral. He paused though at the sight of the crocodile and the dark haired mermaid.
He shook it off and looked back to Ariel, "Where have you been? I've been looking all over Atlantica for you!"

*Ariel furrows her eyebrows, deeply confused.*
Younger? changed into a mermaid? But, I haven't changed! I just turned 16 a month ago...and I've always been a mermaid, as long as I've lived. Hmm...this is...very strange. I wonder...
*She thought for a moment, frowning. Could this of been something to do with whatever Father Time wanted them to do? She really did have *no* recollection of this girl. Yet she was claiming to be her daughter...if that was so, who was the father? She was snapped out of her train of thought when she heard the merrow boy calling for her.*
Urchin! Thank goodness, I thought I'd never see you again!...well, it's a bit of a long story, I'll fill you in later...right now we have bigger problems...daddy hasn't been worrying *too* much, has he?

And now a blonde merboy arrived, only this one seemed to know Ariel mutually. The crocodile, being much larger than any of these youngsters, stood out greatly among the group.
He remained silent (of course) as he listened in on the hectic conversations. However, at some point the clock within him started ticking and tocking again, and the cave that he and Ariel swam out of rumbled before... nothing.
The large reptile decided to swim over to it and investigate, his orange eyes scanning into the darkness...

The princess' jaw dropped open when Ariel told she'd just turned 16 a month ago. What! That couldn't be true! Her mom had to be at least 28...
An unfamiliar voice made jump and she saw a blonde mer-boy who seemed to know Ariel. 'Funny, you think my mom might have mentioned him by now...' she thought studying him. Recently her mom had been telling Melody all about the world below, well the mom that knew her, at least.
Turning back to Ariel, she starting rambling utterly baffled by now, "I-I don't understand...how could you not know your own daughter...?" Sinking to the sea floor, she pulled her reddish-orange-y tail up to her and wrapped her arms around it. She was beginning to get very frightened now.
Where could she be? Was this another world? Or more so, would she ever see her actual mother again? And what about her dad aswell?

As Melody talked to Ariel, the crocodile slowly entered the cave. He expected to be launched back out, but was shocked to find that the cavern was sealed up entirely; no one could enter.
The crocodile, not thinking much of it at the time, tilted his head as if he shrugged and turned, returning to the group of merpeople.

Urchin rubbed the back of his head with a grin, "Aw don't worry Ariel- I don't think the King got to worried."
He shrugged and swam closer, "At least not enough to send the guards out this time."
He furrowed his brown looking between Ariel and the other mermaid. Daughter? Scratching his head the young boy swam closer to Melody.
"...Did you just say your Ariel's kid?" Wow! That was definitely something new!

The mermaid looked up when she heard the boy talk. "Yeah, I did," she replied. Looking at him, then at her 'mom', she wondered how long the two had known each other. Not that it mattered in the situation but anyway...
Melody grasped her pendent and looked at it, as if she wanted to jump out at her or something. Should she show them what was inside this? It could help, after all...

*Ariel gave a sigh, moving towards them with a flick of her tail, a bit of worry on her features. She looked to the crocodile. Hard to imagine that earlier they had embarked on an adventure, only to come home to this awkward moment. Her eyes again fell on the cute, black-haired mergirl and then noticed the pendant in her fidgety hands.*
What's that?
*Curiosity filled her eyes. Was it a human object?*

The mermaid ran her hands over the pendent, her fingers feeling all of the shell's rigdes, and her name, 'Melody', which was written on the surface in gold.
Gazing up at her 'mom', with orbs that were deep with mystery and hidden emotions, Melody took the pendent from around her neck, reached out a little, and with her free hand, opened it.
Instantly, a blue bubble came out from the middle of it, illuminated with a soft gold light. Inside the bubble, Atlantica could be seen, with mer-people swimming around it.
She hoped it wouldn't freak them out too much...

The crocodile, ticking and tocking away, casually swam to be behind Melody so he could look over her shoulder, to gaze at the object she held.
His squinted his orange eyes as he examined the bubble from a short distance. From what he made out, he could see a tiny, golden kingdom. He looked to Ariel and Urchin, expecting them to confirm or deny this little mermaid's legitimacy.

((hopefully i remember what was inside the bauble correctly...>>))
Urchin swam closer to the girl, watching the small figures swimming inside the bubble- but his eyes were locked on the glowing palace.
"It's...Atlantica- how'd you say you got this?" he asked pointing at it. Not to sure what the point was beside it being pretty.
He'd seen tons of things being on the streets nearly all the time, but never anything like the locket.

Watching the palace made Melody think of when she'd been there with her...mom, and when she'd met all of her Aunts.
She then noticed the mer-boy was speaking to her. He seemed curious. She hoped that he wasn't totally baffled, though it wasn't hard to believe it if they all were, in this situation.
"I..." Should she tell them? It might re-jog her mom's memory, maybe...
The mermaid bit her lip, before continuing, "I got it from my...Grandfather. King Triton. I-I got it when I was a baby."
Her blue eyes stared up at them, with a pleading look to believe her.

*Ariel glances at the object...she most certainly had to be an Atlantican royal, as the pendant did glow similarly to her father's Trident. The girl even looked similar to her. But if she was her daughter, how did she get here? Ariel had the very faintest idea still of who was behind it, but...why would Father Time do this? The mermaid tilts her head, curiously.*
...How did you say you got here, again?

Urchin covered his mouth, unable to stop a small laugh at the thought of King Triton a grandfather.
He stopped though, rubbing the back of his head, "I think the whole ocean would know if one of Triton's daughters got married. I haven't heard anything about him have well a grand kid."

With a hand, Melody closed the locket, and put it back around her neck. She didn't know if they believed her, but she hoped so. Ariel's question took her by surprise...how had she got here? The teenager didn't really know. All she remembered was that she was swimming in the ocean, and then...then a whirlpool suddenly came her way. She had tried to out swim it, but it caught her, and she was pulled around with it.
Then...Melody had found herself here...
"I...I have no idea," the mermaid whispered, "I only remember a whirlpool, then...this!"

The crocodile, upon hearing Melody's answer, immediately nudged Ariel. He wanted to get her attention, and when he succeeded he would have motioned to where he and said mermaid just came from: Father Time's domain.
The crocodile was already thinking that their brush with the space-time continuum had something to do with this current ordeal... and if so, how would they visit the spirit again?

"You survived a whirl-pool!?" Was pretty much what Urchin had heard, he was impressed to say the least.
He looked at the crocodile and pointed at him before looking at Ariel, "What's he saying?"

((OOC= TIME PARADOX! OH SH--))
*Ariel glances at the crocodile, knowing what the silent reptilian was pantomiming to her. Glad she wasn't the -only- one having that feeling. She winces when Urchin asks her to translate what he was saying. Sigh. Guess it was time to spill the seashells.*
Actually...we *both* may have an idea of how she got here.
*Ariel told them the entire story of how her and the Crocodile met, being trapped, and their dealings with the "Father Time" person they met in the undersea cave.*
...and then we were spun out by another whirlpool, and ended up here. And that's where we ran into her. I know it sounds kinda...well, crazy but, it happened. How else could there be an explination? Trouble is though, that's the cave that we came from, and well...
*She swam downwards and gestured down to the once cave opening they'd been shot out of, now covered in rocks.*
((OOC= sorry for the non-descript detail but...we've...still gotta figure out what exactly ariel and crocodile did down there with father time. XD))

(OOC: Yeah, we kinda jumped ahead from the old FK board, for Hannah's convenience. <3)
The crocodile nodded in agreement several times while Ariel explained the events the two shared. They saw many strange sights and curious encounters during their (unwanted) adventure. Though Ariel seemed to enjoyed it more, the crocodile was more or less annoyed, and a sore spot on his back was an unfriendly reminder.
The saltwater crocodile looked to Melody with a comforting grin, as if to say, "It's okay. You'll be fine." He then nudged Ariel and wiggled his brows, making light of Ariel being a premature mother.
The clock within his belly continued to tick and tock.

The dark haired princess was very confused now. So this had something to do with time? She listened as her mo- Ariel explained about "Father Time" and how she and the Crocodile had also been trapped in a whirlpool. Melody glanced at Urchin, then Ariel, then the Crocodile, who tried to give her a comforting grin. The mermaid could only bit her lip, her eyes full of bafflement.
"How could I have survived a whirlpool, though? Isn't that knida impossible? This is so confusing..." Melody ran a shaky, pale hand through her raven locks, which contrasted greatly to the colour of her skin.
