There was a 10-70 in progress at the museum downtown, some sort of "strange prowler" on the premises. It was six minutes before twelve 'o clock, and Sergeant Wright had been on her way to Louie's before the call came in over the radio in her squad car. Now Miranda was speeding to the museum in the black-and white that she normally shared with Bonkers. She would be going in solo tonight; Bonkers was away on a personal leave.
When she finally arrived there, she parked in the back of the large building. Disembarking from her vehicle, the blonde carefully and quietly approached the premises. As she did, Miranda drew her service weapon from its holster and took the safety off. She wasn't sure if the perp was still inside or what, but she wasn't taking any chances. From what she could see so far, everything looked normal on the outside, but she knew that appearances could be deceiving. She had grown used to the reassuring feeling of having a partner to watch her back, even one as nutty as Bonkers, but with no Bonkers around, she felt somewhat jumpier then usual.

Meanwhile inside one of the exhibits lurked Jafar whom had tracked down a priceless artifact that would increase his power tenfold. Using his staff to incapacitate the museum guards Jafar moved closer to his target "Soon it will be mine and Agrabah will finally bow to me!" he cackled

By now, Miranda had ventured inside the museum. She had forgotten just how huge this place was, not having been here since she had been in college -- there was no telling where this guy could be. If her partner were here, then they could've split up to search for him. Well, she would just have to do a little more footwork.
A turn down another hallway took her to a section where the museum was hosting a new ancient Egyptian exhibit. Moving past the cases of centuries-old jewelry and mummy cases, she saw the prone forms of the security guards laying on the ground. Sharply inhaling, Miranda approached them, and knelt down to check their pulses. Good, they were still alive, but out cold. Just then, she heard a laugh that could only be described as cold and sinister from nearby, and she moved in the direction where she thought it had come from.
Miranda's eyes widened when she finally got a look at her suspect. The report wasn't kidding when they called him strange. He was a tall, skinny man who was dressed like he had wondered away from Comic Con or something. He was carrying some sort of weird gold staff. In spite of his strange outfit, there was something decidedly creepy about him.
"LAPD. Put your hands up!" She commanded, keeping her gun trained him on him.

"Hm?" Jafar hearing somebody behind him, he turned around slowly, he eyed the female officer holding an unusual weapon at him. A cruel smirk was visible on his face. "So it seems another foolish guard wishes to stand between me and my target, very well" Jafar responded as he held his staff in his hands.

The suspect turned to face Miranda, wearing a toothy grin like a cat that had not only eaten the canary but a couple of mice for desert as well. She knew she shouldn't let some weirdo with a stick get her all worried, but hgh, this guy reminded her of Lilith DuPree! Every instinct she had warned her that this man was dangerous.
"Drop the weapon and put your hands up! Now." She emphasized the last word, backing up a little but still not relaxing her guard or her grip on her 9 millimeter. Miranda didn't really want to shoot, but she would if he didn't comply.

Jafar gazed at Miranda hearing her tell him to drop his staff, the sorcerer only smirked "I see your becoming a bother, and we can't have that now can we?" Jafar pointed his staff at Miranda, the eyes on the staff began to glow a crimson color

Miranda's eyes narrowed when she saw the eyes of the snake-headed staff beginning to glow. She didn't know what he thought he was going to do with that stage prop, but more importantly, he wasn't even listening to her.
"Okay, don't say I didn't warn you." She thought, firing once at his feet and hoping to put a scare into him so he would drop the taff.

The shot hit the floor infront of Jafar, the sorcerer looking unfazed but now a glare was in his eyes, he'd make this foolish one pay for such an attempt. "That my dear was a fatal mistake, one you shall live to regret!" He said as he began to cast an incantation, his staff glowing from the eyes before launching a burst of magic from it toward Miranda "Let's see you deal with this!"

"Maaaybe I should've went for a leg shot..." Miranda thought with a gulp when the devilish man glared her way. The crimson eyes of his staff seemed to glow even brighter before a wave of strange-colored energy actually erupted from it. Miranda's eyes went wide at the sight. She didn't know what was going on, but she was not going to let that stuff hit her.
The cop tried diving out of the way, but wasn't fast enough and some of the energy struck her ankle. For her, time seemed to have slowed down, but in actuality the action had only occurred in a minute or two. Even though it hadn't been the entirety of the blast, the force still sent her rolling. Only a display case in her path stopped her momentum. Dazed, Miranda sat up with a groan. What in the world had she been hit with? The room was spinning wildly around her, and she wasn't sure if it was from the blast or from being sent rolling. She tried reaching for her walkie talkie at her belt, but something seemed to be wrong with her hands... was she going crazy, or did she have... claws? What??
And minutes later, a loud, dreadful howl echoed from out of the museum, reverberating across the city.
(I think you guys can start debuting your own characters now. ^^)

A devilish smirk came across Jafar's face as he watched the transformation. He turned back toward his target "now that those meddling guards are out of the way now to claim my prize" the evil vizier said as he approached a display case containing a jeweled amulet. Jafar gazed at it as he raised his staff to smash open the case. "Once I have it I shall tap into it's magic and increase my own, and then Agrabah will be mine!" he cackled as he shattered the glass case with his staff then retrieving the amulet. With his prize in hand Jafar turned to leave the museum and heads out

Lurking in the halls of the museum was the gypsy Esmeralda. She had a wonderful day in the city but a gypsy's heart was restless and wanted to see more. The building was beautiful, resting her weight on her curvy dancer's hip she took in the sight. She wished it was open so she could explore it. She then got an odd sense she wasn't alone. glancing over her bare shoulder she saw a young man in sailor's clothes. He didn't look threaTing, but that didn't mean he wasn't. "Looking for something, sailor?" she asked looking at him in the eye.
As the young black haired man was answering her a beam of light shot through the glass of the museum. It struck her, making her feel very dizzy to where she nearly collapsed on the stone steps. It took her a moment to regain her senses. She furrowed her brows, determined to get to the bottom of this. When she rose, she glanced down, gasping seeing her hands were covered in stitches, and her skin look almost as if it was decaying. The gypsy's eyes widen catching her relfection in the window. Her face looked very much the same though she hada scar across her cheek and another on her temple. Her hair was more wild looking then usual and had a white streak through it. Her Clothing was a fitting white raggy dress. She shot a glanced to the younger man, and saw he had changed too. She marched up the steps to demand an explanation but when she reached for the handle she took the entire door off. "Oops." she turned to the sailor. "We need to get out of here!" If she could find Miranda then she could get off. Nice to know she had some friends here.

Captian Sayers once said Eric had a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. As he was getting older he was beginning to think of that as being true. He wasn't looking for trouble. That was the case most of the time. For someone who loved the idea of adventure, he hated confrontation. When the gypsy woman addressed him, he offered a smile. "I was just admiring the building. I hope I didn't fright-"
Before he could finished his explanation he and the gyspsy woman both were hit with a bright light. It was like being stabbed with a thousand freezing needles at once, until his body had grown accustom to the cold. He gasped looking at the gypsy as she stood. She was still lovely but that light had definitely changed her. Eric caught her surprise looking at him. He checked his chest to see if maybe he had been wounded. It was the case. He had no heart beat. His blue orbs expanded as he ran to the window to see his skin was a ghostly white. His eyes were green and glowing, and his clothing was much nicer then what he'd been wearing a moment ago. He wanted to know what happened in there, but at the gypsy woman's call he ran with her. He didn't know how he'd explain this either, or why he kept looking at the gypsy woman's neck as they ran.
After moments spend they ran into the city park thinking it would be a decent hiding place. In his sprint he thought he heard someone following them. He looked behind himself then tripped over something. "Oh, I'm sorry boy. I didn't see you there." Eric apologized to the canine, having a soft spot for dogs, petting the pooch behind it's ear. Only, when he got a closer look he realized it *wasn't* a dog. He couldn't blush, but the sentiment was there. "My apologies...." he mumbled embarrassed.

Disturbingly enough, images of the moon and hunting down live prey flashed through Miranda's mind before she got a grip and managed to calm herself down. The cop was horrified at being turned into a big white... german shepherd? No, definitely not a dog. A wolf? She couldn't return to the precinct like this! She couldn't go anywhere!
Carefully standing, the transformed police officer looked around. She thought she had recognized Esmeralda's scent just then, and approached the entrance. Looking through the glass, she could see that it was indeed the gypsy girl whom she and Bonkers had encountered a little while ago, as well as a black-haired man in ren faire style dress. But there was something off about Esmeralda's appearance. She looked (and smelled) strangely corpse-like. The guy had eerily bright green eyes and deathly white skin. Somehow she knew that neither of them were human. It looked like the handiwork of that freak with the staff.
Speaking of which, where had he gone? He must've taken advantage of her confusion and left. Esmeralda and the dude were now running off as well, the sound of their footsteps against the pavement clear to Miranda's pointed ears. With a frustrated huff, the werewolf took off on all-fours in pursuit. If she ever caught that creepy guy she'd tear him to pieces.
The pair stopped in the park, apparently not noticing that Miranda had followed them. The man stroked her behind the ear of all things, the same way she'd pet her own dog Charley. Of course she couldn't talk, so instead she reared up on her hind legs, standing as tall as he did, and growled a warning at him, not appreciating being treated like a dog.

There was one normal human nearby, who avoided transmogrification and the incident in the museum entirely. Carl Fredricksen was on his way back to his blimp, the Spirit of Adventure, after retrieving a map from a 24/7 pharmacy. He had pocketed the map in his jacket, when the old man heard noises from in the park. Probably just bums or something, but because his will to live was renewed, the old man decided to investigate.
Remaining silent, he entered the park and crept to bushes. He hid behind these bushes, but leaned so he could peer into what was happening...

If it was possible Eric's hautingly pale skin became even lighter then before as the "dog" stood on its hind legs, growling. It was terrifying, but also something exilerating about hearing the blood pulsing through the white wolf's veins, as well as the gypsy woman's, then it was like he heard a third. He was getting hungry....
Eric shook it off, trying to maintain some control. Once he calmed himself he looked to the wolf again, never had he seen one so big, or seem to have an understanding of what he was saying. It made him wonder "Were you changed too?" he asked the beast drifting his gaze over it.

Esmeralda's eyes (now mismatched in color, one eye yellow the other her normal green) widen as the wolf cast a shadow over the sailor, who's name she'd yet to learn. She blinked observing the great beast and a similar thought as the younger man. If this person was changed too, then how many other were out there? Better yet, did this person within the beast know who was caused this mess. She was feeling more angry, a spark escaped from the small bolts at the sides of her neck. "I'm used to sticking out of the crowd, but we're not a friendly looking little bunch. I'm really good at hiding and disappearing when i need to." That dust Clopin makes would be a God send now. "So while its still dark we should-" She then slapped the sailor for how he kept looking at her bosom when he should have been listening, unknown to her it was in fact her neck his eyes were drawn to. "My eyes are up *here*." she scolded.

Miranda managed a stiff nod in response to Eric's question. Esmeralda probably didn't even recognize her -- not that she could fault her. Heck, she barely recognized herself. Esmeralda was suggesting that they hide while it was still dark before stopping in mid-sentence to scold the vampire for staring at her chest (or neck perhaps? He was a vampire).
Miranda thought for a moment. How could she let them know who was responsible for this? Casting her gaze down at the ground, she had an idea. Bending down, she used the long black claw on her index finger to trace a rudimentary drawing of a thin man in long flowing robes with a tall pointed hat in the dirt. From her position, Miranda looked pointedly at the other two transformed humans before suddenly turning in the direction of the bushes and growling. Someone was here watching them.

(OOC: Sorry for keeping you waiting, guys. I suck. :C)
Carl could make out three people--kids maybe?--who were dressed like freaks. Carl rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Halloween." He decided to approach the kids just to be sociable. He used to be detached and cold, but ever since his adventures in South America he gained back what he once lost: sociability. The white-haired, bespectacled, old man noisily left the bushes and started for the three--but then he heard the growl.
"Whoa!" he exclaimed when the costumed wolf growled at him. He brought up his hands in protest and grimaced at the wolf. "Easy! Don't take your costume seriously." He stood his ground, opting not to approach the three... yet.

(OOC: Gonna see if I can jump in here XD)
Jake, in his dragon form, was already flying overhead the park when he noticed three figures harrasing an older man. He remained airborne as he watched the scene unfold in front of his eyes.
He groaned a little "I am going to regret this, I just know it" he muttered to himself as he landed not far from the group and transformed to his normal, human form. He rushed ahead a little to one of the closer bushes, yet, still a way from where Carl was.
He poked his head through the bushes and kept an eye on each of the, so called, monsters that were growling and the likes. His eyes fell back onto Carl, who was still behind his bush and decided to, at the moment, take the chance to rush over to the old man "Yo....G....what's....happening?" he whispered to him, motioning towards the three monsters that were present.

Carl heard whispering from behind. He turned his head and saw a little kid next to him. The old man shrugged his shoulders and gestured to the three freaks. "I just came to look, and the traveling sideshow here growled at me." The blue eyes behind his thick-rimmed glasses rolled, and he scoffed toward the werewolf. "People're gettin' too involved with their costumes these days."

Jake had to then think for a moment after listning to Carl's explantion on the growling "Growling?" he gave off a quick laugh "Oh yeah, thought I heard some form of growling coming from them"
He thought for a moment more before looking back to the old man "Alright, you stay here G, and I'll see if I can't talk to these fakers" he then stepped out from his hiding spot, right out into the open and started to approach the three costumed people, looking at each of them.
"Yo! Yeah, you!" Jake called out to each of them "What's the big deal? Getting a bit too much into Halloween are.....we....?" he stopped, taking a bit of a closer look at them before realizing one thing "They're....real...." he spoke as he simply sighed, looking to the three of them once again.

Eric received the slap, then held his cheek. It wasn't pleasent but at least his blood lust was subdued for the moment. "But I *wasn't* looking at your.... you know?" he shifted a bit awkwardly. "Its just that, I can *hear* your heart beating and, well." It was hard to describe the effect it was having on him. Never in his life did he experience this kind of craving before.
He turned seeing the older man approach. Eric didn't think the wolf was going to attack him, but as a wolf you only had so many ways of communicating. He comtemplated telling the old man about their situation. He heard stories where beings like himself were attacked with holy water and pitchforks and he'd rahter avoid that sort of thing. To the man's credit he just seemed to believe they were dressed for a holiday. Not long after a young Asian boy approached, ready to defend the older man. "I think there's been a misunderstanding...."

Esmeralda gave the younger man a curious once over, he didn't seem like the type to be a good liar, unless he was just *that* good, but she was sincerely doubting it. It almost Her eyes glanced down to the dirt below before she knelt down inspecting the little drawing. A figure of a tall lanky man with a staff. Her first thought was Frollo, but she knew he'd never deal with "witch craft" however the man *was* a hipocrit.
She whipped her head around, resting her weight on her curvy dancer's hip. She was used to people looking at her like she wasn't normal, or liek she was dangerous, so it wasn't like anything she hadn't experienced before. She glanced at the sailor then back to the man and the boy. "We were in an accident, more like some son of a-" she caught herself remembering a child was present. "Anyway, some strange man changed the three of us, with a staff." If they believed it or not, it wasn't her problem. "So unless you have a way to get us out of this mess, then do us a favor and stop staring." she remarked dryly.

Jake had to think again. A staff? Who did he know that had a staff and could change people like that? He wasn't entirely sure "Aww man, if only Fu were here, at least he'd be able to make some more sense of this" he groaned and looked back to Esmeralda and Prince Eric.
The story that was just told to him, well, it did seem to be rather odd, but then again, he was used to odd by now, being the defender of magical creatures after all "Okay, okay, where was this strange man and his staff last seen at? Perhaps I could get some answers from him about this whole mess...." he stopped for a moment "And please, no more growling.....it just sounds....weird and what have you....."

Scrooge McDuck was here in L.A. on business, but at the moment was out for a late stroll in the local park before returning to the hotel he was staying at.
As he walked down the path, Scrooge noticed that there appeared to be some sort off gathering further up ahead. It looked there were four people, as well as a large white dog. Two among them, a human woman and a man, were rather strangely dressed, to say the least. Suddenly remembering that it was close to Halloween, he figured the two were just really enthusiastic about the holiday or something. His nephews tended to get like that.
Initially, the elderly duck was tempted to mind his own business and take a different route, but after hearing what sounded like some sort of conflict among them, his curiosity got the better of him and he ventured over for a closer look.
"Don't ye know this city has leash laws?" He scolded Eric and Esmeralda before pointing the end of his cane at Miranda. "Put that dog on a leash!"

(OOC: Halloween ain't over until we say it is!)
Carl was surprised when he noticed that Jake Long was Asian-American. It seems that Carl seems to have (mis)adventures with Asian-American boys without warning! He disobeyed Jake's orders to stay, and followed him to the group of costumed people. Except, if what they say is true, they weren't costumed. Carl's eyes widened and he looked to all three of the freaks, but he managed to calm himself. After all, he has seen some very strange things in the past year.
"I don't know what's going on, but I'll help," he told the Frankenstein's monster-esque woman. He figured he'd join in on this. After all, it was interesting to him! Like a living horror movie, but with more comedy than horror.
Carl heard the voice of a different old man. He looked and saw not a man, but a duck! A ritzy duck with a top hat, spectacles, and a cane. He looked like the old mascot of the Monopoly board game, in duck form.
Carl was amused, but his smirk was wiped clean when the duck made the comment about the leash. Remembering the werewolf's growl, Carl waved a hand to Scrooge as his face was serious. "Don't--!"
That's when it happened. Carl suddenly felt a biting chill, even though he wore multiple players including his jacket. He shuddered and gripped his fore-sleeves, and he looked around him, wondering why.
(OOC: I will edit my post when I get an answer, but can Carl and Scrooge see the ghost? Or just Esme, Eric and Miranda?)

One thing was for certain, he couldn't go back to Italy with these new *cravings*. They weren't driving him to madness now, but who's to say how long it'd be before he needed to satisfy it. He was about to say more when a mallard with a distinctly Scottish accent, dressed like a fine nobleman approached and scolded him and the gypsy woman. He never used a leash with Max, so in truth he'd never thought of it under normal circumstances even. Oh boy. He hoped it didn't anger the wolf. "Listen they-" The vampire turned even colder and saw the mysterious being, he eye's glow deepened.

She herself wasn't a magic expert. She could read a palm and perform a tarrot reading, but as far as changing people's forms? Way out of her skill. She raised a brow at the nicely dressed duck about to tell him to mind his own business when she felt the same intense chill. Then she saw it. Trusting her instincs she followed after the glowing being, keeps her eyes open to her surroundings. ((ooc: heeeee! I don't mind that idea .))
